    Jose is absolutely right. I reside in Mexico. I just recently went to the States to attend an event. I was TOTALLY turned off by the high prices of just about EVERYTHING. Every time I made a purchase, I felt like I was being scammed. I felt bitter that our government would allow this. In the US, we are being literally squeezed to death of our money. There are other living options out there. Like someone once said, "Go where you are treated best."

      Agreed deborah. I too live in TX. Im super friendly but I have lived here for almost 4 years and only have 1 friend. My neighborhood is cold, no friends there either. I was disillusioned into thinking that Texans were friendly..not my experience at all. I thought the state would be strong for the US, patriotic, not so anymore. I gotta get out of the US. I have been researching for almost 15 years..I always come back to Mexico. I started to visit Mexico when I was 13 yrs old (64 now) as I lived in the state right next door. I feel Mexico is my second home. Is the country perfect? No, but what country is perfect. Every country has its problems. The US, Canada and most of Europe is a TOTAL mess and getting more and more like communist countries.

      Agreed, Texas is one of the worst! I briefly lived in Texas for 6 months and I couldn't stand it, I don't understand why some people think it's one of the freest states in the US when it's no where near that.

    • @hoppeanofasgard1365
      @hoppeanofasgard1365 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@kellyname5733 I think some parts of Texas are still patriotic, but I'm not sure that's even a good thing anymore, why support a country who's government, and lets be honest, who has a very large percentage of people that are just going totally in the wrong direction. If you're patriotic in America today you probably support the war machine and a blank check to police the world, and that's just not for me, never has been, it's against my ethics and my spiritual beliefs.
      Texas is also very expensive as the Op has pointed out, and the people are not friendly to outsiders, or really not friendly to anyone if you live in the big cities, not much different than any large USA city in that way.
      Texas also has some of the worst drug laws in the country, seriusly, you can be put away for a long time for some rather small amounts of certain substances there, among so many other problems.

      The united states of America has lost its flavor and have hung on authoritarian ideas. Nothing is free there and the first responders are the first class citizen while the working class people are treated as their cash cattle. They bleed the people dry and leave as many as they can without prosperity in the USA. There is no place you can go to where they are not asking for your identification papers that you must prove in order to be human and they are building their apartheid wall every day. They are building a prison for the people to live in. The USA wants all the people to be residents because resident is a word that stems from the word reside which means to stay only for a while, while that premise is directly against the premise of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as a constitutional republic is supposed to provide.

Because you could have just said something nice to someone in a good informative way. Yes Mexico is backwards in its enforcement in many areas where human rights and the constitution is not being followed by the culture of policias here, but that doesn't mean you also have to be crude to others. It is like you have been taught to look down your nose at the less fortunate than you by the united states of America and then have brought this baseless ugliness here with you. Lighten up dude. I'm from Vegas, but recently moved to Tijuana and work in San Diego just over the border. My entire bills for the month in TJ are half what just my room was in Vegas, and the salary is 50% higher in SD. I can make my entire month's bills in a week of work or less. I can finally breathe and plan my future. I don't have kids or a girl, it was a cheap one way Greyhound ticket, etc. So it was proly the easiest international move possible lol. But Vegas isn't far from TJ, and it was totally worth it. Some people are scared, etc. But I guess that leaves more blessings for us. I'm glad I finally made the leap, and everyone else I know that did it is too. But some people will never get it. I guess it's not their path to understand. I'd rather my bills be 4 times cheaper than struggle. But that's just me

    • @HanumanOlam
      @HanumanOlam ปีที่แล้ว

      @@georgejetson9801 Not everyone will be the same. But I'll break mine down. I live walking distance to the border to save on transportation, and pay for a month pass to catch the train and bus in SD. I also eat tacos at home, I can make $500 MXN (~$29 USD) last 1-2 weeks for tacos. I'm single with no kids. I have a US phone plan. Rent a room in TJ. Okay, break down:
      Rent: $200
      Phone: $75
      Train: $75
      Food: $100
      Total- $450
      It's not exact, but basically my main bills are less than $500/mo. Anything else I make is for whatever I want or to save. I'm still a wage slave 😅, so my only option for now is to live close to the border to work. But I work hard no matter where I'm at. At least here I can work hard and actually survive from it. Some people are scared. It's not like that. TJ is a boomtown rn, it will be for the next 25+ years. It's a golden opportunity. I don't think there's anywhere else with higher potential, cheap living right up against the largest state economy in the world. Anyone who doesn't see the potential and benefit just doesn't get it. I may never be able to survive after overtime work in SD. I can survive on part time work in TJ. It's way easier here, but some people will just never understand it. Their loss 🤷🏾‍♂️. I meet Americans in the line every day that moved here 5, 10, 20+ years ago and love it, live better, never left. We're not crazy. Those who choose to continue being exploited are. Our country doesn't want the sheep to leave the stable. They pay us the lowest they can and charge us the highest they can. Don't want to give enough jobs, hours, or benefits. This is how we beat them at their game. The only money I spend in the US is my phone, train pass, rare snacks, and a little weed lol. The rest I spend in México. The country treats us better

We all had that moment when we finally realized we had to go, just be patient with her. Seems like she is getting there. In the meantime you can plan ahead while you wait on her. She will want to leave once it gets bad enough, but remember she is also wrestling leaving Peru and now having to leave the USA is not easy. Just keep reminding her how much easier life will be for her in a country that speaks Spanish and has a similar way of life as what she live in Peru than in the US. Good luck with everything. Liked the video. I have nothing against his message. However, I personally think that before making any drastic decisions like moving to another country, one should at least attempt to improve our situation in other ways. Maybe move to cheaper town, live a frugal lifestyle, change jobs, connect with family and friends more, exercise, eat healthy, etc. You can’t expect that a move out of the country is going to solve all your worries. If your issues are purely financial then perhaps it may help but also keep in mind that cost of living in Mexico is starting to go up, thanks to videos like this. Again, I have nothing against the message of this video, just keeping it real.

Thus, so many have been pouring all of their life energy into things that don’t matter, or that distract them from all that does. Hey Jose…I was just offered $90,000 for almost 4 acres of land in NH. I built a tiny house 6 years ago and wanted to put my house on my property but in order to do that I need to pay about $25,000 for the driveway and the 7 culverts it needs along with needing power and septic. So I would have to get a loan for all that. The problem is I am 66 now and I feel done with all the things I am required to do in order to put my house on my own land. Or I can sell the property and look for something else. I get 2 SS checks a month which is a little over $2000 a month. I have an older son in Michigan I see maybe once a year. A daughter and granddaughter I live 2 hours from. All 3 of my brothers are dead. I suffer in silence but I have not given up. I’ve been to Mexico 4 times and I have a male friend who I have helped a lot on my end. He would love to come to the US but I keep trying to tell him how difficult it is to live here. It seems like I would have a better life in Mexico verses here. Besides I am done with shoveling snow!! Here is just a dead end.

    Nice video, seems like an honest video to me too. If I may ask: you said you fit in in Mexico. Unlike, for example, Miami and Seattle. Great for you by the way. But I wondered, did it have to do with your Latino background or the degree of freedom in Mexico (and the USA) that you did fit so well in in Mexico/Merida/Yucatan? I'm from the Netherlands myself and see freedom becoming less and less here . A worrying trend. For me is freedom important. I don't like it when a government determines how you have to live.

You're not afraid to be honest which is so awesome 👏 Keeping it real!

      Great question! Short answer I don't know. Perhaps I would have done a bit more research and moved closer to the border where more English is spoken or gone to another country all together.
