- Kamal Koushik was the first to graduate from his immediate family based in a village that is difficult to find even on google maps. To support his college education, he took up a job at Starbucks and continued to develop his skills.
One key skill that he developed during this time was ‘networking’, that helped him get a UI UX designer job.
It is around this time in his career that he decided that he wants to go for higher education and CAT seemed the right way to go about it.
But, things didn’t go as planned for him. His CAT tanked badly.
But, the fighter that he is, he never lost hope. ‘CAT Nahi Toh XAT Sahi’, says Kamal in this motivating video, where he shares his journey and crucial tips to crack XAT.

Disappointing CAT attempt is 40 or 50 percentile. Since when it became 97 percentile
Disappointing because he didn't get calls from his dream Bschools. Everyone has different targets, and for him his score wasn't able to get him to his desired bschool.
Disappointing because it's 97 percentile with 59%grad
Coz he wanted to get into top IIMs

It is weird that a large amount of people are scoring between 60-80 percentile in cat where they cannot even expect a better college irrespective of how hard they worked during their preparation. A large number of MBA entrance based channels post clickbait titles such as "Disappointing cat percentile and still made it into xat". It's like the academic version of Ananya Pandey's struggle 🙄
It’s completely candidate’s fault if they could barely manage to score 60-80 percentile. 97 percentile is below average at its best for GEM candidate to even think of top IIMs let alone with poor acads. Don’t compare Bollywood wood shit to competitive exams. No one gets advantage from purely scoring point of view, everyone have to work hard unlike Bollywood drama queens
