Remember, the XAT Exam strategy is a little bit different from CAT because of the pattern and it becomes very important in XAT to have the right attempt strategy due to all sections being given to you at the same time.

Go for arithmetic and algebra for now
Getting 10 correct from the quant section but looks like 14 or so are solvable excluding DI. Best to leave the rest and do more in English and DM?
Depends on your strength. Try to maximize your strongest section and clear cutoffs for rest

My quants area is weak but I still wanna clear the cutoff so as to get a call from XLRI, hence I want to know that at what percentile the sectional cutoff of quants is cleared... and approximately how many questions including DI should be attempted to clear the cutoff in quants section... Ravi Prakash sir told that, minimum 7 questions in each section needs to get correct. Means, it is the sectional cutoff I guess.
In previous year questions i found some of the questions in VA and DM of which the official answers were way different from my thinking.
Yes possible and especially some of the answers might be from coaching and not official answer key.
Try to understand why you can be wrong. If you think there is absolutely no reason, can ignore it and not take it very seriously

No. It is not accounted in percentile calculation as well
Sir after 8 unattempted question there will be negative marking fir each question...??? I am not able to understand this....pls explain me clearly
What this means is..8 consecutive questions shouldn't be left..like don't leave 50-58...if u do any one of this like do 53..so the chain is broken. Don't make a chain of 8 unattempted...u can leave as many questions as u want, just don't leave consecutively

@@RP-nk7nm no..0.25 is the negative marking for "attempted" ques..for more than 8 consecutive unattempted questions, its 0.10...meaning if suppose u leave 10 questions consecutively..u lose 0.10×10=1 mark

I don't think so considering there are 5 choices in xat which makes a probability of 0.2 and you have negative of 0.25 so it is a loss overall

Can you suggest any strategy for VALR to clear sectional? Because, I'm not able to clear valr sectional in mocks. Also, I was not able to clear VARC sectional in cat.

Does the Essay and GK section score contribute to the final XAT percentile? If I want to apply for colleges like GIM, TAPMI, MICA does this section matter at all?
no, but they are counted for xlri GDPI
It's considered at the very end after everything is done it helps in converting xlri that's it

For xlri? 97+ for BM and 94+ for HRM
does XAT have sectional time limit?
No part 1 is 175 mins and then part 2 for GK and essay section is 30 mins
