I've got blueberry from 21 November - no water, only 2kg of blueberries...that's just over 4 pounds, 100% blueberry juice and blueberry blossom honey. It's already amazing even tho I haven't back-sweetened it yet and it's also dry at 0.995..close to your 0.994. My original gravity was 1.099 so that's about 14%. 👍 I didn't mean to but now I'm really tempted to do what you have done! Oh and yeah, blueberry mead is so dark! Edit: Did you buy or make your own extract? If you bought it, could you tell me what brand it was? I'm in Europe but will try to find it
We purchased it off Amazon! Here the link: Brewer's Best Natural Beer and Wine Fruit Flavoring (Graham) a.co/d/36n5hGU If you decide do do what we did, we definitely need an update!
@@MeadingOfTheMinds Thank you! I'll order it regardless of whether or not I ultimately do your blueberry pie version, but if I do decide to go that route, you've got a deal - I will update you! I've only recently come across your channel and really love it! Cheers, Skål!
Wonder if bocheting the back sweetening honey would have brought some warm caramel notes. I've yet to make a bochet myself but I don't think I've seen any brewtubers try back sweetening with it.
Could use lactose for softer tones and creamy
I like you guys. Keep'em coming!
Hey thanks! We will be dropping a video tonight! Plus plenty down the pipe. Thanks for watching! Cheers!

Thanks so much for the support! We would love to hear what you use the extract with regardless! Cheers!

Not a bad idea, you may see that coming down the line here soon...
48 oz of honey is about .035 sg per pound. Guessing 1.105 starting Gravity. Estimate 14 % ABV
You're right, I (Christa) think I did my math wrong.
