Yes- I agree. A nice jacquard in a salmon or pale coral….a solid color and the pattern could give them what they’re looking for in more ways than one.

I think it’s so nice that you guys can spend time alone. Philip is very good about sharing Stephanie with everybody. It must be challenging sometimes to share the house with so many people. It’s a good thing they have somewhere to go spend time together alone.
Notice the spicy glint in Phillips's eyes at the end when Steph was talking about a night in there in the London flat, with fish and chips and Netflix. I love to see such passion in a man's eyes....
I know you don't need me to say, but OMG how the garden has come along from when Dan first started, just absolutely beautiful, and yes those roses are spectacular, I love all flowers, I'd love a garden. It’s bringing Lalande to another level. I love seeing the gardens, the chapel, the newly decorated freshened rooms.

Yummmm. My son came over for visit to cheer me up ( i had to put my ill dog to sleep two days ago ) and he bought fish & chips with him and some white wine but we ate ours out of the paper they were served in. I would have put them on nice plates too but my son said it will save me having to wash up after. 🤣

I don't like the blue spotted fabric for the lamp shade. It may be in the same color scheme, but the pattern is just too much going on for the eye. I think the yellow looked really nice with your wallpaper 😄

I’ve had this same thought! Everytime a watch Chateau de Purnon I think of this restoration theme. P.S. It’s a great TH-cam channel too.
I believe they said the original work on this chapel was better than Notre Dame.
Mummy weeds the flower beds like my mother, i.e., pulls the weeds and drops them near the beds. Never got her to carry a bucket and trowel and dispose of them property. Brings back memories.

Regarding the lamp shades, have you tried reading by the light of lampshades which throw shades of green or blue? Think. Of your guests. Too much pattern is just over the top.
The chapel restorers really crack on- especially as it such exacting work. What a blessing that they came to be the crew to work on the chapel!! So very happy to see dear Percy’s dazzling smile and looking so well 🥰 Till next time 🕊💕

I vote for a fuschia lampshade. It would pick up from the paintings. It would look more complimentary than a "match" that just misses.

I don’t know, I think relaxing in your flat in London while eating fish and chips with mushy peas while watching Netflix is DEFINITELY a thing of beauty but also VERY British! Hi all. I use to have peacocks and the males would turn away too. I believe it’s because they only display to the females or when they’re feeding particularly proud of themselves. Ah! That wallpaper! I believe that your lampshades need to be the same colour as the leaves, plain and silk. In fact, I would remove the bulk of the pattern in the room as it is not possible to compete with the walls. Similarly, I would only use artwork with broad, plain mounts between the frame and art to create an island for the picture. Otherwise, you could pile on the clash colours and pattern to get things so jarring that it works. The elephant in the room is the wallpaper. Best wishes, Stephen.
