i dont mind tiffany being in sub-unit tts cause she's also the 4th main vocalist of gg. But its weird that they didnt include jessica and i never thought about it before until now

Look up JeTiHyun. SM had already (unofficially) debuted an SNSD subunit with their own unit songs & mvs and two of the three members are the same as the ones that made up the official unit.
Fyi, TTS has always been Taeyeon+ Tiffany+ someone else
Why ? Its because of their LADY MARMALADE performance, and seohyun was the only one free at that time
The TTS members said that TTS was supposed to be a rotational unit, Sunny and Sooyoung also teased being part of TTS but it never went anywhere because:
1- Sunny isn't as confident in her vocal skills and has never debuted solo or in the unit.
2- Sooyoung wasn't as confident in debuting a unit, which is also why SHY never debuted.
3- SONE at the time wasn't as eager on a rotational lineup so they preferred TaeTiSeo to continue together.
Jessica was literally recording with Krystal when TTS was formed. There was no way she was going to be in it
so true, and I thought TTS was formed because of their vocal range and style, Jessica is the only one having the high-tone, and knowing SM, they (TTS, rounded and deeper) would definitely match members who can balance each other with the song and the concept. And if they are actually listening to SNSD and TTS songs, these three are the only ones who can balance each other while using the same style.
I just went to leave a lengthy comment about this lol. The rumor started out of jealousy and entitled solo stans back when TTS debuted. SM had plans for Jessica and Krystal together way before TTS were in the talks
Also Jessica was still a part of Girls Generation by then so she could have been in that sub unit if SM really wanted her there. Also SM made Exo CBX that also had three members and they had two main vocals and Xiumin instead of Do. So I think they did the same here. That they added two of the main vocals and then another person that happens to be Tiffany.

No, I would honestly believe Taeyeon replaced Jessica in the subunit. JeTiHyun (Jessica, Tiffany & Seohyun) was already an unofficial subunit and despite them never being official, had their own songs complete with mvs. I think that perhaps SM were originally going to officially debut JeTiHyun and give Taeyeon her solo debut but for whatever reason, that got nixed and Taeyeon instead replaced Jessica in the subunit.

that is not true. If he really did, then he should've debuted first and left. But there was at least 4 trainees at that time and 1 got replaced and then he left because of musical differences, remaining 3, V, Jungkook, Jimin and Jin got added. It has always been 7. Jin was the one who was not supposed to debut but Bang Si Hyuk believed in his vocal skills so when the last guy left, he added Jin.

No, it's just that channels like this try and make a controversy so they can make videos and get clicks.

Min Heejin's art direction throughout her time at ADOR and SM Entertainment have usually had a pattern of teens in mature/adult situations.
During NewJeans debut, fans used to be scared that Min Heejin shouldn't be working with NewJeans since they're all teenagers and she doesn't really have boundaries when it comes to her art direction.
However, people now think she might just be noise-marketing to create more buzz for their releases.
It's kind of smart because most of the criticsm goes back to her instead of the girls and their releases could potentially benefit from the extra attention.
TL;DR: Min Heejin is low-key smart, but needs to work on putting the girls safety over her art direction.
The people saying Jini got kicked out bc of a dating scandal are the same one saying that Sullyoon and Leeknow are dating bc they laughed together when JYPnation is always so close with each other and Sullyoon can't date for 3 years after her debut or she'll get kicked out

I’m sorry but jini did not leave nmixx because she did not like the concept. No one trains for years just to not like 1 concept and leave and not even being a year into their debut. Something went down at JYPE. Also it’s not that easy to get out of your contract.

About the "8th member of BTS" theory - Bangtan's lineup have been changed so many times even before they came up with the name Bangtan Sonyeondan so it's hard to say exactly how many members were supposed to be there. We know for sure there were many trainees coming and leaving during their trainee years so it's not surprising that there would have been a chance of more members debuting. Personally, the theory is quite pointless and you can find "empty spaces" in many groups's photos, not just Bangtan. I don't get why would there be one specific trainee that almost made it to be the 8th member. BTS even said in one of the interviews that they'd feel weird If they had any more or less members and that they think 7 is the perfect number. And yes, I do acknowledge that there is one guy (I think his name is Jihyun), a past trainee that had a chance of ending up in Bangtan but he (as all the other trainees before him) also got a goodbye call from the company, so - again - it's nothing different or unusual.
As an OG BTS fan (2013-2016) that rumor confused the hell out of me. Back in their pre-debut days they were originally going to be a 3 member rap group comprised of RM, Suga, and Supreme Boi, but then at some point their CEO changed his mind and decided to make a Kpop boy group. Supreme Boi switched to being a producer, and Suga really wanted to be just a producer too but was made to stay in the group. There is old footage of many trainees training with the BTS boys, but I don't think there was EVER a suggestion that BTS was meant to have 8 members. Even if they had once had 8, 9, 10, fucking 30 members, it makes no goddamn sense that years after their debut (those pictures at 8:00 are from their One More Day and I Need U promotions) they would be making reference to an unknown 8th member LOL. Like groups who have a member on hiatus rarely leave space for the missing member (with a few exceptions), certainly no group would leave space for a trainee that never made the final cut cuz of that was the case then there would be way more than 1 empty spot.

My personal k-pop (or generally music industry) theory is that labels/artists know what kinds of songs will be released BEFORE they get released or even teased. There have been a lot of situations in k-pop when two groups released their new songs/albums not long from one another and surprisingly the song titles were very similiar or basically the same. Also how fast certain trends spread, one gg had a specific concept in their m/v? Soon you'll see another gg in the same concept. And another one. But- coming back to the song titles part - it doesn't have to be two releases very close to eachother - it also could be: naming a new song similiarly to a song that already exists for some time and comes from a bigger/more popular artist - which would basically be a simple strategy to possibly raise the views.

Lee Sooman preferring poor trainees had nothing to do with crafting sob stories, you can do that just by lying. The point was to control them and their families by putting them in a 4 year college's worth of debt. Those idols would have no choice but to stay for years and years, with the slimmest hope of debuting, but each year of training adds debt and that means more desperation to debut and work it off. Terrible cycle that companies love to exploit.
Idk why but im more likely to believe that Jini was caught in a dating scandal (less or a scandal since the public didn't know but either way, breaking her contact somehow by dating/having a bf) than simply not liking the concept. She didnt give it any time they had 1 comeback and lots of time to evolve and solidify their sound

I never got the controversy over ETA, y'all give heejin too much credit for that one. Westerners know what ETA is, estimated time of arrival. i would give it up that to you if was only the name ETA, even the name and the car, but they literally had the names of the creators and famous victims, and those names are not common at all, also they had their music videos filmed in spain and the iberian peninsula in general, and those people were affected by it.
now the equivalent if some grou made a poster with the word bomb and in the poster they were on a plane and had the 911 numbers somewhere, for example the mane of a song, for a lot of people it would be just a simple poster, but americans would see that something it's not right.
Well I mean let's not forget that when Itzy dropped Mafia in the Morning, people thought they were literally planning on making a concept out of the Italian Mafia, when really it was a concept based around the popular Mafia game. People really out here trying to make Kpop way deeper than it actually is.
The TTS one was definitely a delusional fan theory cuz at the time TTS was formed, there was already a planned J sisters sub unit (they even performed tiktok at smtowm together) + she was in a musical, was she going to split herself into three? Also during the boys (all the way to igab)even though she was the centre she was receiving a lot of criticism for her lackluster performance (you can look it up), either due to health reasons or whatnot,I think a lot of her fans were just upset that TTS was a hit without her while her musical flopped

A) she was planning a subunit with her sis/ reality show
B) there were talks about her health and multiple articles criticizing her performances
C) TTS was a hit and won a lot of awards for their incredible live singing and their success overshadowed the rest of the group causing envy amongst solo fans and that's all

Ever since Jini left, I have not seen Haewon being strict in their videos. I remember Haewon being more strict with the members smiles and conduct. I think the theory where she lost faith in Mixx pop is true and that these are contributing factors. And due to her departure NMIXX has been trying to change with the performance of O.O Bailah and Superhero in one of their concerts.
Also I think Haewon stopped being strict due to her departure. I often saw her wanting to remind the members to behave but something stopped her. An example would be trying to stop Lily with her arm in her spoilers of Love me like this but laughed instead. I think it is the guilt and she is still blaming herself.
I can see why the whole "cookie" song sparked controversy but I genuinely believe that the girls didn't mean any harm. If anything it's their management who I'm sure was well aware of the controversy it may spark but didn't care at the same time.

Like.....💀💀💀; TTS was Taeyeon and Tiffany's idea after their lady mamarlade duet received a lot of attention ,they added seohyun later on and honestly it was the best decision ever, also Seo wrote songs for TTS and her voice improved

Starting a subunit in the same group is one thing, but when it's members of different groups it takes more planning and agreements on concepts

One batshit theory I've seen is that Irene's attitude scandal was crafted to cover up a pregnancy and birth. Her scandal hiatus was from Oct 2020 to Aug 2021, which is probably the only driving force behind this theory (and perhaps because of her "mother" persona in Red Velvet? Netizens will call any idol Mother these days though lololol)

Theres a theory that Solar is from North Korea that's why she doesn't have any predebut photos but i highly doubt that is true, i don't think that south korea would debut an idol thats North korean back in 2014 but the theory does sound logical.

I wouldn't be surprised if the theory with T-ara vs SM is true. I don't wanna by that fan who keeps bringing up BTS when it had nothing to do with the discussion but for some reason people related to SM used to throw shade at BTS a lot. Now things are relatively calm but when BTS was booming in popularity in 2017 things were crazy and somehow SM always managed to weasel their way into it. So I'm pretty vigilante on that matter.
T-ara is supposedly 9 members with Ahreum and Dani if Hwayoung didn't act up and maybe LSM was threatened by it. Aigoo... T-ara went through alot.

Nah, that's not true, Jessica still talks and hang out with SNSD members, maybe not all of them but almost all of them. They even have pics together (not literally together because SM does not allow any public interaction with Jess).

I follow the 9 girls on Instagram and they never post anything that links SNSD with Jessica. They are always in different places, events or even countries, so I don't really see the connection at all.
Plus, Jessica had a tense relationship with some of the members (Taeyeon, Sooyoung, a little bit Tiffany), and that could potentially damage seriously Jessica's relationship with the others.
Maybe at first she had some communication with some of the members (my lucky guess is mainly Sunny, and then Hyoyeon. I don't know about Seohyun or Yoona, they look very neutral to me), but I don't think that's the case anymore since Jessica made some comments hinting that there was no more communication with any of them.
Also, have in mind that half of the OT8 girls are outside of SM (Tiffany, Seohyun, Sooyoung and Sunny recently) and they aren't under SM rules anymore, yet they don't post anything related to Jessica either.
And something as big as Jessica interacting with the members couldn't go unnoticed for that long. It's been 9 years since her departure and we have barely nothing.

My problem with second generation Kpop fans is that they attribute the success of Kpop only to Girls Generation... they use the idea that T-ara, 2ne1, KARA, 9 muses did not exist... they like the narrative of It all started with these 9 sweet girls singing Into The New World... but in reality... it was a group full of falsehoods, envy and plots. As soon as Tiffany dyed her hair red, she appeared closer to Taeyeon. From one moment to the next, they were already best friends... Jessica was never busy, to film an MV as part of TTS, she was removed from the project (the reality show with her sister It was after the debut of TTS).... No. 2 Jessica, along with Yoona and Taeyeon, were the most popular members... or causality Jessica was expelled... Tayeon appears with blonde hair and displaces Yoona from the center. .. or they are going to tell me that Taeyeon was known as the ugly duckling of the group and from one moment to the next she becomes the visual of the group. One personal theory of mine is this one:
Do you remenber the Nth room scandal? well one thing that catched my attention was that according to people one victim was an idol from a girl group, they even described the video and that it was a girl from a kind of famous group, so nothing close to big three, and that in the video the girl performed some acts on herself on camera and she was crying all the video, trying to cover her face with her hair (so it was probably long) also iirc the posts mentioned how the people said to the girl to do this and that thing, because she didn't wanted they did that to her members and the girl complied (so the girl was probably older I even speculate the leader), the thing I don't remennber if the post said someone said that to her (so he/they were filming her and telling her what to do) or if the girl did that in camera herself and the people wrote what she should do.
That scandal shocked me because in those groups they found politicians, lawyers, bussinesmen, and iirc they told that atlhetes, actors and even idols paying and soliciting videos of girls. Now you can speculate who could be the girl, I have my candidates because for that time some girls that fulfill all those conditions, even the ones I suggest, were absent bc of anxiety or mental/health problems and well I don't think the girl was in her best moment mentally speaking and she became really affected.
I seriuslly hope those post were just fabrications and no idol was involved or harmed, specially because the most likely candidate was from my favorite group. I don't know if someone has information on the case, if it was proved false (that I hope for) or futher information, pls do share it, even if it's only your opinion telling me I'm wrong, you look for information and connect the dots on the girls were absent in that time frame and yo will come to my list of suspects

In regards to T-ara, I thought the same, that the scandal was plotted by one of the other major Music companies,as T-ara was with a relatively small company, but rapidly rising to the top as the best female K-Pop group! A Testament to the talent and professionalism of the core 6 members, they endured and amassed a huge international fan base!
