I’m a moa myself but to be fair, BTS already sold 300k copies of HYYH Young Forever within the first week of presales, which was still in 2016 when 4 of 5 members started their trainee journey🙈 But yeah, other groups from other companies that aren’t small/unknown do have this kind of advantage aswell. I’m not saying TXTs success is only because of their company, I’m saying BTS for sure was already successful short after most of TXT members joined the label.

Not everyone can understand it unless u follow their every content very closely. One more thing Bighit never released any predebut stuff from txt bcz it can cause trouble for BH. Txt has endured way more than people know. They've always jokingly indicated that they had a very hard time n its not even 5% of the experience they actually had.For instance yeonjun n beomgyu read a comment once bighit slave n soobin said they are slaves too. If people know how to read between the lines they would know he was being honest . Even during their debut era they were so controlled with their words. Txt never shared their story even when MOAs tried asking them their predebut stories. Even if they're sharing some stuff now i know its not for sympathy. They feel comfortable enough share a bit of stuff.

The fact that most trainees go through stories like this, but still debut with a smile on their face just shows how determined they are to achieve their dreams and success, although I'm not saying every trainee deserves to go through the hardships they went through, being a trainee in any company is hard enough without any additional stresses, hearing about the poor living conditions and health hazards are really scary, just because they are trainees does not mean you get to treat them as if they are less than human, I hope future trainees of any company get to debut in a safe environment in the future.

Look, this is all nonsense. This channel gets their info from snippets of their vlogs. All of it is done in Korean and let me tell you, you're just feeding into the BS.
No one is being enslaved. All kpop idols especially of this level absolutely love what they are doing. Stop applying your lower western standards on Koreans. Koreans
love to work hard, we understand that that is the only way to achieve our goals. Koreans are highly competitive and trying to be the best is the only fuel we use in life. It is a choice. Also culturally, saying things like "it's hard, I'm so busy, tired, we had to work endlessly, etc. are all bragging words for Koreans. That's how we get respect from others. If one is not busy, not tired from hard work, is doing nothing, then, others will look down on you. Hard work means you're chasing your dreams, you're being responsible, you're doing something right in life. Koreans really greatly admire that. We loathe people who are lazy. Furthermore, when they talk about seniors and the relationship dynamics, it's their way of expressing respect. To "fear" or feel a certain way about their seniors is to say that they really respect those who have gone before them and have paved the way. It's a cultural way of keeping oneself grounded and humble. So chill people.
TXT worked and work hard because they have dreams and goals and they absolutely love their lives and would not change it for anything else. No one is holding a gun to their heads. They're rich, famous and super happy. The only thing that makes them unhappy are the haters on SM who spread crazy rumours.
And as for our military service. Except for the occaisional wankers, all Korean men are proud to serve in the Army. Korea does not have mandatory service because we like war, we have an army because we are still technically at war. For thousands of years we have constantly been invaded by our neighbours, japan, china, n. korea, we have never invaded anyone in our long long history. Due to this, we must maintain a certain military presence just to keep our nation and people safe. For a celebrity it's nothing because once they're done they get to go back to a mansion, fat bank account and job that they left temporarily. For the average young male, once done, they have to start all over again. Sometimes, to no home, no job and no money. So stop all of this nonsense about "poor kpop idols". They're just fine, more than fine. If they don't like it, they can quit and find something else to do.
If you really care about them, you'll stop this nonsense and support them for their hard work and what they offer to the world. Geez!

@@katie5920 That sort of thing happens everywhere and in all aspects of life. This video was about TXT, not some other group working at some small seedy company. There are bad people everywhere and of course they're also in Kpop. That's a given. Use your critical thinking, should be learning that stuff in school. It also goes both ways. Those seedy, creepy companies exist because there are desperate people who will do anything to become a star but sorrily don't have what it takes. If they had talent to start with, they would have auditioned for a better company with credentials; someone would eventually see them. The size doesn't matter, what matters is the people who run those bad companies. Like I said, it goes both ways.
When you bad mouth and spread rumours about, in this case TXT, then you are basically bad mouthing the closest people in TXTs lives. This video is basically saying that HYBE and their staff who also work night and day to make TXT members look their best are slave drivers. Are you kidding me? Like BTS, TXT love their staff. Besides their families, their company people are the people they love the most in this world.
And you do realize that TXT members parents and families who love and care for them. You think that their moms and dads are just going to sit there and watch while their sons are enslaved? Please. Their parents entrust their loving sons in the care of HYBE and other companies knowing that this is what their children want to do and that they are being well taken care of.
You think Koreans are so stupid and that's why the number one job young Korean children aspire to get one day is to become a Kpop Idol. If you have nothing good to say about Koreans then go and enjoy something else like Jpop or China pop. Let the rest of us enjoy Koreans and what they have to offer.

They now have fans who are NOT Army. So although they were recognised from BTS at the start, they no longer rely on BTS for their fame and people discover them in other ways. And the achievements you’re highlighting are applicable to ANY K-pop group not just TXT. Yes BTS made K-pop globally famous but they did not make TXT famous. TXT did.

As someone who used to be an army like seven years ago and was here with txt since debut, I absolutely HATE that people always put the pressure of being “worse than BTS” or “not worth it” or worse. My boys were always absolutely adorable talented AND HARDWORKING. I have seen them grow up (same as I did see bangtans grow) but this was totally different. The moment I saw them it was way different than when I stanned BTS as a kid not knowing anything. With tubatu I look at them with knowing eyes, and I feel better connection with them. People forget that bighit wasn’t always big. I remember times when namjun used to do lives in the old studio still in glasses and knowing how jimin starved himself and others went through hardships too I only assumed txt weren’t “born to silver spoon” which I hate cuz they totally deserve better but they all did, even bangtans but there simply wasn’t enough money to make it easier… in conclusion I really despite people complaining about how “easy they had it” “debuting in million company” I hate it. I feel like it must have been even harder having so much pressure on their back knowing how toxic people are yet still making it big. I am so so proud of them and so proud to be MOA since debut

I didn't need shocking revelations to know TXT didn't have a smooth ride, i recommend people watch any interview of them talking about the time periods they joined the company. But this is still so sad, Whats even sadder is that They went through that, Yet some still treat TXT like They invented the concept of privilege, Like only TXT doesn't deserves things, Quite frankly it makes me sick. Like you would think TXT got away with criminal charges or something based on how some people hate on Them. In Kpop, people really need to stop jumping to conclusions, Its why some idols get kicked from groups unfairly, Because too many people assume something & accept it as if its canon. TXT has been open in acknowledging Their privilege & worked hard to ''earn'' new fans after the bandwagon fans left. TXT deserve All the love & respect They receive❤

I really still don't understand some peoples hate for the TXT members, Like its one thing if You don't like Their music but what has the members done to receive the hate They got, Some people use The fandom as an excuse, But that's also not an appropriate excuse, Because the nature of Large Kpop fandoms is to have a lot of normal fans & a good bit of toxic fans. If I have a bad encounter with another fandom, that's no reason for Me to actively despise Their group

It's probably similar in other companies but I really have a problem with Hybe. They're posing as this good company, the perfect company, many fans, especially army, have this image of them. But the truth is that they just control very strongy what their idols can say and how they act. It's visible with BTS, after they started chapter 2 and suddenly started sharing opinions that differed from their previous interviews, and even made negative comments about Hybe. What I especially don't like is that other companies pay for singing lessons for their idols but Hybe neglects it a lot, especially after debut, but they still push the idea that their idols are amazing vocalists. They just expect that their trainees will learn how to properly sing themselves. And then, as we saw with RUNext, they don't even choose the best singers among their trainees - they want young and pretty idols first and foremost. I'm getting the ick from how they treat the girls in DreamAcademy too. All idols diet but I think Hybe pushes their idols way too much in this aspect. In LeSsserafim's documentary, the girls were already extremely thin, so thin I can't imagine how they even had the energy to dance - and Hybe told them to loose more weight, making Sakura cry. Yeosang also had some horror stories from his trainee days at BigHit. They make their trainees dance all day all night with limited food and don't even give them time to learn how to sing. It doesn't matter if you're sick, like really sick, or injured, or sleep deprived, or starving, you're supposed to show up and give your best anyway. That's the image of Hybe I've had until watching this video, but now I can add all the horrible things that happened to TXT as well...

You are muddling your facts, your time line, and your argument.

All companies has rules and regulations of what can and cannot be said about it...not just in Kpop.....And you are also mixing Hybe and BG as a previous comment said... Hybe is an umbrella company for many other labels which LSF....is apart of one of the others....which Hybe only gives financial assistance to and promotional materials and have no say in the girls training and decision making....BH...which BTS and TXT are apart of was originally what Hybe was but separated from it before gaining other agencies....Just like any other labels BH has their own way of doing things, not saying all is right and justified but it is what it is....and why fans seems to have favor towards this one more than others is the fact they gave BTS way more freedom than any other agency or company was doing at the same time. BTS had lots of freedom where they could speak out about things they didn't approve of etc... and likewise also had a contract where they were bound by rules and regulations of what can and cannot be said and done... In life who ever have things done their own way alone???

This is true. Kpop stans brag about Hybe not Bighit being such a grand company, but they are run by the same people so they're both horrible in this sense
I agree that they control their idols to the bone. It's very clear. I also think it's more things they've done outside of covering some of the worst scandals, BUT as long as bts is under their company, kpop stans will never acknowledge this and Hybe knows that. They'll do whatever to keep bts around
They got some cover up scandals under their belt they're probably holding on to in order to keep them resigning. I'm sure the CEO is worse than expected

If idols can gradually buy into their companies and become significant stockholders? Real constructive changes may be able to be made from within. Changes like no strict diets, but nutrition and cooking classes instead. Trainees and idols get one full day off per week. I don't know if this has ever happened, but the old BigHit building should be gutted to the walls and completely upgraded. BigHit/HYBE should buy a building/complex and convert it to a safe trainee dorm. Deep background checks on all employees and pay them well. Happy staff will usually go the extra mile. I'd like to see senior idols eventually start taking over department positions since they know what works and what is outdated.

If I was them I would be reluctant to speak up too, even under this I expected to see comments implying that its an attention ploy, But if TXT truly did that wouldn't it make more sense to do it earlier than now at least?? 4 years of being discredited, Why choose now versus all the times this info could have actually been useful?

If they spoke up earlier, they’d probably be punished by the company and not as successful. BH would have cancelled them and worked on another group. Now that they are popular internationally, they have the clout and prestige to be more outspoken.

I have nothing but hate for everyone who discreted and continues discrediting TXT for all their hardwork. As a MOARMY, it breaks my heart that these 5 young men get undeserved criticisms for being BTS's juniors. They went thru hell just like their seniors. Even Suga mentioned this a lot of times in his past interviews. TXT didn't have it easy. No, they did not.

Regardless if they have had every opportunity provided for them or if they had to start from the ground up. Neither of these scenarios matter if your music is $hit and the fans don’t like you. Luckily, that’s not the case with TXT. They will continue to succeed regardless if they had a little head start or not.

Even being an ARMY from 2015, I can vouch that TXT's success comes 100% from their own talent and it is not related to BTS.
Even if BTS wasn't a thing and TXT had the bighit producers, they would still prove again and again that they are super talented individuals who will achieve everything and anything with hard work.
BTS members mentioned so many times that the company didn't have the money and the space to give them a good life. They struggled a lot during training and even after debuting. Same goes for TXT. Bighit wasn't a thing when they were training.. I would assume the company were spending most of their income on BTS to make them as BIG of a thing as possible to get the breakthrough.
Please protect TXT at any cost.

This is partly due to being in a country where almost every male has suffer through a military conscription. Schools, offices, clubs, sports teams, families, and even entertainers reflect military conscription culture in Korea. The Korean society is very slowly demilitarizing. It may is disturbing to foreigners but this was a normal Korean childhood for me minus the success later.

I would politely disagree.. This lifestyle isn’t the norm for kids in Korea, only those who pursue being trainees.. As someone of mixed race, my memories of living in Korea aren’t all gumdrops and lollipops, but my childhood was quite normal there.. I remember dancing for pocket money and hanging out with my friends until it was time to eat dinner.. Kids who weren’t trainees were allowed to be kids, that’s why you always hear artist say that they would sneak off and play with their friends when they were in the trainee period to have a sense of normalcy..

while i agree that social hierarchy is everywhere especially in asia it shouldn’t be a norm because it sounds like borderline bullying. just the fact that yeonjun Lied about being younger when he first met soobin says alot. He knew that the younger trainees would be intimidated by the older ones, so he appear younger for soobin to feel more comfortable but even so, soobin was upset that he lied. and yeonjun also said if the txt members themselves arent the hyungs, he would never be the maknae. anyways they only told us one part of a big story, who knows what else happened back then.

  • @multistan9582

Lets be honest whether its BH or any other label/ company....in Korea becoming a Kpop idol aint no walk in the park.... Its social hierarchy and contracts they are bound to doesnt make defending themselves, speaking out or just jumping ship or letting go easy.... As we all see its mostly only when the idols have a sense of independence of years being with a company, then they may have freedom to say things that many wouldn't expect happened to them. Becoming anything we want really, isnt going to be easy, we will meet harsh situations, awful people, disappointments, embarrassing, failure...dangerous situations also, just to endure to make ones dream into reality....TXT, BTS and others I have heard their stories....Imagine the ones that we truely dont hear about.... look at even Enhypen and even though they had it better interms of facilities etc... That didnt take away the stress, and questionable methods and situations they had to endure to debut....We will eventually hear their story as time passes....let Athletes, Soilders, Doctors, Nurses, Teachers or any work at all, tell you what they had to endure to get and keep they jobs and many people who isnt in those field will probably say their life is good even when its not...lol....the situation is real, it aint no fairytale as many of us fans think after seeing the glitter and success they are having now....Its situations many of us wouldnt accept or could kept up with.
