- Moog Minitaur is a compact bass synthesizer with incredible sound.
Moog release an update to its firmware and now it has some hidden features you can access with your computer or with a dedicated midi controller.
We connected our N32B midi controller directly to the Minitaur with the right midi cc messages. After everything is mapped, we are ready to experiment with the Minitaur.
The N32B is an open-source midi controller, also available as a DIY kit.

Any word on when MK2 will come out?
I am hoping it will have full sized MIDI in / out, is that going to be a part of this new version?
Hi, we are almost finished with the MK2, it does have classic I/O din5 connectors.
Soon we will have more updates on it.
What is the black square device next to the moog? And the keyboard to the bottom left?

Why I would I need the N32B with alls knobs if Minitaur already has all the knobs?
This is mainly to demonstrate how you can connect the N32B to a hardware synth. A lot of them does not offer physical knobs for each parameter.
The N32B in this video is also connected to some hidden parameters of the minitaur like key-tracking and LFO shape, in-which you don't have a physical knob on the minitaur.
can you use the n32b with din midi? like on older synths?
Yes. The N32B has midi TRS 3.5mm I/O connectors. We provide 1 TRS to DIN5 adapter (if you buy the kit with a case) and you can also add more in our shop.
Can your unit be rackmounted?
Not exactly. The size looks small enough but the connectors are from the side and not from the top. The board size is 200x130mm
