The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, 2019 will provide for the reorganization of the existing State of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Second Amend) Bill, 2019 further amends the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004.
Also discussion on Statutory Resolution revoking Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Why should we the tax payers foot the bills of Kashmir? The state has no economy to sustain itself. The option for the Government is to induct it into India and kickstart its economy or throw it out. The Government chose the former. Pakistan wanted the latter. How long can India continue with this status quo?

@@VishalTiwari-fx8vb i did not talk to my parents. The Valley is in a strict curfew. I am In delhi and students outside and people outside kashmiri don't know anything about their families in Kashmir. No one knows how many have been killed by security forces since 2,3 days. I was studying for IAS but I am ashamed of this country and its people and its constitution. Hopefully people here who celebrate will feel worse than what we are feeling.

@@RahulChauhan-wo1io The way government is proposing bill and getting passed is completely wrong for any democratic country. Is sets precedent for upcoming governments to follow the same path. Let's wait for a day when government comes with proposal to do away with basic rights only then people will realise what's wrong going on.
this bill would'nt have been passed in any other way either. Congress which is the principal opposition has maintained it's stand.
But I do agree that parliamentart procedures are not followed. Many bills are introduced at shirt notice and Parliamnet is acting as a rubber stamp regards other Bill's
but a wise analysis would be that it is not the fault of parliament or executive.

When u have a majority govt coupled with Xth schedule, a parliamnet will act like a rubber stamp
Any strong govt by default will have major numbers.
It is only in the case where govt is made by coalition that parliament can have discussions. But the problem with coalition is that such strong decisions then cannot be taken. this much would be obvious as seen by so many parties opposing the bill they would have taken the support and led to fall of govt
crux is that such strong decisions can be made only by strong govt but socha govt by defualt will dominate parliamnet because of xth Sch.

@@saksham_agarwal I agree with most of points you raised but we should not hesitate from criticising any government who doesn't follow the proper procedures. I was most vocal supporter of this government from 2014 but when they introduced RTI amendment bill, then NMC where they have made provision for bridge course for Nurses, Physicians, any one can have license for practice, then they come up with UAPA amendment bill where they made provision for announcing any one terrorist even without proof and there is also provision that if you want to re appeal you have to go to govt. I mean they are making everything centralized. That's completely not democratic, i was supporter of Modi but when it comes to democratic rights i will always stand for basic rights. We are not here for uplifting of Modi, Shah or Gandhi no body is greater than this country and i mean that.

Brother for the bifurcation not Congress is responsible it is andhra and telangana leaders who have their own agenda for bifurcation. But I can say only one honest leader from andhra side against bifurcation was then chief minister Kiran kumar Reddy. Except Kiran Reddy all leaders are opportunists.

First of all the Congress govt which was in power should had settled the disputes between two regions and then divide in proper manner. How can a state be divided without its elected representatives by closing the doors of parliament and shutting down live telecast. Is it a democratic way to divide the state brother?
