I need this to be connected to the main part and I don't want to save the flat pattern every time I make changes to the main part. For now I use wrap but I know it has a bit of difference than flat pattern. I am talking about 8'x40' plates for the tank roof.
@faouweb I don't have a video for the beginning right now, but Rob Cohee has a video that creates a similar shape on his channel (Search "Rob Cohee Sheet Metal"). I tried posting the link, but youtube didn't like it.
I am having a difficult time showing my flat pattern on my dwg sheet...Is the only way to "save copy as" from the assembly then import it back into the drawing? I must be missing something. There must be a way that I can show my flattened part dimensions and make them linked to my assembly when its moves. No?
I have Inventor 2022, it doesn't allow me to save-copy-as the flat pattern. It tells me that Inventor can only export the folded part, no matter what the file type I'm attempting to make it export.
Very usefull , that is exactly what i am looking for , thanks
