    Thanks, just when my boss landed me with a flanged conical sheet metal part to draw up, and I secretly and subtly TH-cam how it's done, that's what I need...heavy metal music!

    cheers although my version gets confused if you manually thicken it works a treat if you just set the default to the sheet size you need
    thanks!

    Great, thanks! Do you know how I could overlap the ends? I want to make a truncated cone from paper, so I need a tab to glue over one end.

      I never tried that. I'm not sure if there's already a command for such but i think it's possible.

    Very Useful, kindly tell me that how can I take unfolded view in drawing mode?

    Need to know if there is a way to unfold curve pipe.

    • @3Ddesigns
      @3Ddesigns  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You cannot fold a pipe taken from content center itself. You have to re-create it in sheet metal. Make circle, extrude surface, thicken, make a "rip", then unfold.

      @@3Ddesigns i already do as per advice but not work. It cannot RIP at all. I also looking the other video for rip or unfold for curve pipe but cannot find any. It is appreciate you can show us a very simple way to unfold curve pipe.

      I'd overseen that it's a curved pipe.. hnm that's sound complex.. ill let you know if I get answers.

    Sir, Is it possible to get this flat pattern from a frame piece? I can't do that:( It doesn't let me make the rip

    • @3Ddesigns
      @3Ddesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you mean by "frame"?
      The part has to be a "part", not a part generated in frame generator.

    • @MegaYoudj
      @MegaYoudj 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@3Ddesigns yeah I used “Insert frame” now is an assembly, is it impossible that way?

    • @3Ddesigns
      @3Ddesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MegaYoudj it’s not possible to flat pattern a frame generator.
