i feel you about the foot damage thing. my smallest toes are kinda messed up on each foot due to anatomically incorrect shoes while growing up (despite them supposed to be one of the best ones for you) but my big toes don't bend inwards like most peoples, which im thankful for, no more constricting shoes for me. i cringe whenever i hear someone talk about how comfortable RM williams boots are, having had a pair myself (which i never wore and ended up selling due to this) they are incredibly narrow, even the wide version which i had, terrible for your feet though the boots were well made even if they were a bit overpriced. anyone who talks about how comfortable they are must be well on their way to bunions. wearing chelsea style boots with shorts is actually a pretty common outfit in Australia, especially with tradies (construction workers), just make sure you're not wearing those no show socks because it makes it look like you're not wearing socks at all and looks weird.
@@Murtagh653 you definitely can, it's listed as the easiest customization in this video th-cam.com/video/lVhV-TZ5T_Q/w-d-xo.html and they have two different black leathers, the regular black is shiny and the houston black is more of a matte finish.
@@chinatownboy7482 yeah if I lived in the same area I could but honestly that guy wasn’t very good and it took forever I just wanted my boots back at a certain point
@@calebgasca You may need to send your shoes in the mail to a cobbler. Maybe one of those guys that create content on TH-cam. There are a couple of them in Los Angeles.
Glad to hear of your wider feet fitting comfortably into those - as a wider footed guy myself, especially higher towards my toes.
Yeah these are a great option for anyone rocking the hobbit foot!
The wedge soles make those boots look amazing. Great idea man I think I’ll do that too
You can also ask JG to do it from the factory if you haven’t bought your pair yet!
@@calebgasca thanks! How have they held up in the last 10 months?
@@paulschneider6202 pretty well, I wore them for 3 months working construction and ruined them for casual wear but they stayed comfortable!

Yeah I know a couple people with feet so skinny they don’t worry about shoes squishing toes at all. That’s not a luxury I have though
@@calebgasca same here. EE width or more for me, depending on manufacturer. i just look at it as more stability lol
I really like the 'Stockmans' but want them in black. What do you think of bringing them to get dyed?
Hmmmm I think the leather would get darker but I’m not sure the sole would take a pigment well
you can ask jim green and they will likely make them for you in black for an extra fee.

The wedge sole is a good choice. Looks good.
Thank you! It’s much better for my lifestyle as well
Hey, I'm not that far from you, I'm going to be going down to taakens shoe repair in SLO to get my red wings worked on, I'll let you know how they do
Awesome thanks!
I used to live near pismo in San Luis Obispo
👍
good review
Thank you I’m Glad you enjoyed it
Can’t you just sand down the other boot to make it even with the other one
Yeah I can
@@calebgasca But that's what you paid your cobbler to do. Go back, show him the difference, and tell him to fix it.
