Thank you for this . I am full stack web engineer. I passed the aws saa going and currently for the aws sys ops.Then aws security cert. After that it will be a hard stopping point to work on my skills or projects

I don't have any professional experience in an info sec environment. I'm in a cloud support role which we use splunk and incident response but not sure how to transition to cloud security.

Not really. DevOps is majorly centered around CI/CD pipeline. Security Engineer focus is on securing AWS infrastructure/Services, different from the overall DevOps scope.
