Great video! I’m in a similar spot. No child yet but young wife. I’m learning python, took AI prompting, next looking at SQL. Basically working my way through the IBM Data Engineering program. My current career isn’t bad but I need to go remote to get back home 😅
Wish you success, go for bigger companies, preferably with gov clearance (if you can get cleared), companies I recommend are Deloitte, Booz Allen, Google, TekSysyems 👍
Thank you for this! I recently made a career change going from biology field to the tech field and I been studying for the Comp A+ certification. Watching your video gives me the drive to stick my daily routine of studying. Thank you!
You’re welcome, keep in mind IT has a big number of professions.., try to find a role that’s exciting for you and with an opportunity to grow. Plan like 10 years ahead and it’ll give you better chance to succeed long term!
Hi i’m not sure what you mean by freelance, but almost everybody who works with cloud resources can work and will work remotely. You can probably be a freelancer, especially if you work is not with resources that are classified, or require a security clearance. If you are good at what you do, you can even work for cash, helping other engineer with the workload in your spare time. You know what I’m saying? Someone who’s got a high-end IT job in the cloud can pay you cash to offload some work to you, like outsourcing, especially if they hold multiple part-time jobs, and they simply don’t have time to cover all the bases.
this is an awesome video. im 1-2 years into tech now. trying to move into cloud engineer role but its a huge learning curve. im scared to even start but im learning its all about knowing how to speak about it first than learning the different workflows once you get in

Hi, thanks for sharing your motivational story. I am from non IT background age 42 and want to become cloud engineer. Can you please tell road map for it?
Hi, road map is: 1. Take IT related courses 2. Make sure these courses help you with securing a job (they can help you with showing experience, getting certificates, etc… 3. Build network of people who work in IT (create it related LinkedIn and start communicating with IT engineers) 4. Find people who can actively help you when you’re in IT job market. Hope this helps,
i have just secured a role as a systems engineer at aws. thanks for your perspective and story. its nice to hear how you have progressed and what you thought about different comapneis and types of roles and employment. cheers.
hi, the recipe is just take a course of your interest and build a network of people in the area of your interest, these people will help you succeed. Course in person will serve multiple purposes; you will meet teachers that can help you in the future (when you are in your profession field, or go through the interview process, and other students can help you with references, studying, being motivated, etc… Just start working on it and be consistent.

@infotek247 I think you misunderstood me. I saw your video and saw how you started at a support role to get to where you are. I am currently a refinery operator in texas. I make 6 figures. The work life balance can really suck and we are treated like second class citizens a lot of the times. But due to my pay I was saying that it would be hard for me to leave my job for a support role and take potentially a 50% paycut. I would gladly take the info for the course if you feel it will help.
