Watching this video, reminded me of if my dad were to guide me making lasagna. You’re very authentic with your guiding of this recipe, and talented as well!! Thank you so much, it made me feel like I was at home. (: Definitely subscribing!
This looks fantastic! My husband is allergic to ricotta, and I've been craving lasagna lately. I'm definitely going to be making this for dinner tonight. Thank you!
@homecookbasics Lasagna dinner last night was fantastic!! Thank you so much for the recipe. My husband said he's never had a better lasagna and I'd have to agree.
Béchamel sauce is the way to go! That stuff is the bomb. My wife isn't into Ricotta (am I supposed to capitalize that?) and neither am I, although I don't hate it, so I had been on the hunt for a while to find a good replacement. I've tried some other cheeses, you know, these white Mexican cheeses that some of the other TH-cam chefs say to use, and they're o'kay... but the béchamel sauce is what I've decided to stick with from now on. Your lasagna looks amazing, my dude. Cheers from Tennessee! 🍻
I think this lasagna recipe is awesome. I like to make lasagna at home, and I too think that lasagna is way better without ricotta. I just have one question: My friend Terry is vegetarian and can't eat meat. Do you know a good substitute for the ground beef you cooked into the sauce?
@@homecookbasics Sure, you'd just be making a cheese sauce. You can make mac and cheese with just cheese, milk, pasta and seasonings, that's the old-fashioned way. Or you can make it with a bechamel sauce, pasta. cheese and seasonings. What you did using bechamel sauce like that instead of ricotta you are basically making Pastitsio.

I forgot to get ricotta so I’m going to try this out! Looks delicious!
Its very good!
Use a ziploc bag for the Béchamel sauce and sort of layer it from a squeeze bag.
I have always used bechamel sauce for my lasagna and whole family loves it
This is amazing video..great recipe ..not scripted.. genuine..love it🎉🎉
Thank you!
Looks so good! Will be making this! Think I’ll do Italian sausage and ground beef 😊 thanks!

Looks amazing! Thank you 😊

Looking good!! Love watching you bake :) you deserve more subscribers… I’m one for sure! 😋
You're the best! Hey keep it up with your channel!
Usually use a little mustard as well in the sauce
Interesting, maybe I will try that.
Great recipe ❤❤
Thanks, did you make it?

Maybe eggplant?
amazing 🏆
I hate Ricotta.
A fellow ricotta cheese hater 🤝
Makes me gag just thinking about it. Do you like cottage cheese?
@@homecookbasics Both are not enjoyable I'd say.

😂 "Smellavision" 😅
Thanks! Not a fan of ricotta!
Yes agreed. Try it with the bechamel and to be honest its good without that also.
You know that ricotta does not belong to lasagna, right? Of course, if you like it then no problem, but lasagna doesn't contain any ricotta
Agreed, this one has a bechamel sauce.
Yet,most recipes call for Ricotta.
Make a ricotta bechamel.
With both?
