In conversation with Victoria Collis-Buthelezi, Marzia Milazzo discusses her new book "Colorblind Tools: Global Technologies of Racial Power" (Northwestern University Press, 2022). Examining texts on race from Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, the USA, and South Africa from the inception of the colonial era to the present, Colorblind Tools shows how white people disavow racism on a global scale to maintain power, and how anti-Black and colonial logics can be reproduced even in some decolonial literatures.
