Well, my car does have the cat. converter (Cobb), and it will trigger P0420 every now and again. I installed the full Cobb Exhaust system with brand-new Motorcraft oxygen sensors. So, in my case, it is a combination of the exhaust with the of-the-shelf Cobb Stage 2 tune. I have been avoiding installing the de-fouler. When it lights up, I just hook up the AP and clear it WITHOUT deleting the history, that way I avoid doing a full ECU reset.
Great job 👍 , my car has had a "🐈 less" dp since 2012 and ive never had this code, only had "not ready" on rear o2 but i think its because i put it on since day 1 so the car got used to it who knows 😅 let me know if its helped with the "readiness moniters on o2 sensors".

Yeah that's a really common issue, sometimes it needs an ECU reset!
