  • thank you everyone for your support on my first video! in order to go more in-depth with one of my annotation styles, i created this walkthrough of how i annotate a chapter of The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. this russian classic is wild ride! creating chapter summaries and an index of all the characters has helped me slowly make my way through this book. i hope that you enjoy the soft-spoken voiceover (asmr style) and that this video inspires you. if you all like this video, i can make another that shows a different style of annotation. as always, leave a like if you enjoyed, consider subscribing, and leave video suggestions in the comments! see you next time :)

I listen to a lot of audio books and this would probably be super helpful. 💖 I could take your technique but annotate in a notebook.

I really like the way you annotate!! I've always had a fear of writing in my books but I've always wanted to annotate (I normally just tab), but I really love the way you do it! I need those clear sticky notes!! You should do an annotated book flipthrough!

tell me if you figure the clear sticky notes out 😅😅 i think i’ll do a flip through once i finish some more books!

Now this is the true definition of TUTORIAL! I love love the way annotated this book. It’s fiction and you went in on notating fiction. Most videos are annotating non fiction which i don’t mind but I love fiction over non fiction. You’ve made the best note-taking,detailed, well filmed video. Keep making these types where people can see what you actually doing. It beats a person on the screen putting up the top 10 sentences on how to annotate. Hands-on and visual teaching is the best, and you prevailed! Love it!!! ❤

loved this video so much!! never thought on annotating this way- i will definitely try it this month since i’m planning to read war and peace so a chapter summary and character list will be so useful, as well as a vocabulary list since english is not my native language so i am always looking to expend my vocabulary, and also i might use the flash card method for quotes too since sometimes i feel like i don’t ever get back to quotes i love from books so ill start making a collections of flash cards or even have a special notebook. really appreciate this in depth video :)

Love this style of annotating! I always want to do more deep-dives like this, but I have a hard time choosing which books to do it with. I also find it's easier for me to do this type of annotation on rereads because at that point, I already know where the book is going and I also know that I already like the book and won't want to get rid of it after reading. Annotating a book only to end up not liking it by the end is annoying for me because I feel stuck with it.

lol i completely agree... im kind of glad im annotating this but its such a strange book that i kind of want to be done with it

Kudos to you, I will get bored with the book if I spend 45 min for each chapter

I don't trust people who don't write on books, you could save alot of time by just writing all of the characters in one page sheet, vacab in the book itself. Post it is okay, but rather enjoying, you are doing labor, stop this!
