  • Almost had a perfect day on the beach until we were stopped by timeshare salespeople. Westgate Resorts have very sketchy practices. Join us as we see in detail their tricks and deception firsthand.

I have heard from over 2,000 timeshare buyers since 2016 when I started writing about timeshares. My husband and I have owned four timeshares since 1984. Some were great, some were scams. There is an oral representation clause in the contract that basically says you can't believe anything a timeshare a timeshare sales agent says, so don't, unless you can verify claims in the fine print. Thank you for your report.

Thanks Irene. So basically contractually it’s the buyer’s responsibility to sift through the contract. I just wish these folks could be a bit more honest.

Can’t you use them for a 5 night 4 night? And then move on without getting the ridiculous timeshare nonsense?

You can, but they attach a timeshare tour to everything. They want to present the product to as many people as possible.

The first guy that told us about the free money told us straight up that they would try to make us stay but just say no and we'll get our free 150 with our 40 deposit back,
Long story short we won the war and got the money 😬

"stay" was more so of "buy" which we didn't had that kind of money, I was so glad i had an empty bank account to show them i was broke.
They started to play with the tactic of borrowing money from a friend but later dropped that off luckily.

They are quite the sales people! It’s very hard to say no which is why many fall into the trap 🪤

Is it worth doing this "preview" in order to get night rate of $135 instead of $330 for a trip to catch a cruise? Obviously not buying the timeshare, but I know these can be very boring and very high pressure.

Good question. The answer is a big resounding NO!! These salesmen are the best in the business they can sell water to a well, and I haven’t used the 4 night stay or the week cruise, but when I do I’ll make sure to post it on this channel!! Stay tuned

One important adder: If you buy a timeshare contract, it has no end date. It is perpetual. Imagine that. And, if you want to get out of it, (sell it) there is no resale value. Better to "rent" your vacations than to "buy" your vacations.

You just gotta be consistent with your NO.
