Just FYI, some cards that didn't make the list because they "see too much play" include Graveyard Marshal, Izoni, and Light of the Legion (which sees occasional play in Angels). Anything else you expected to see here?
Evra halcyon witness should be here. I just picked it up for a commander deck but it can be insane! Unfortunately it can be removed and stuff but if you swing and it gets blocked you can instant speed activate it and gain four life and kill the defender even if like a 10/12 wildgrowth walker (assuming you have life) but if they can’t block for whatever reason, that can easily be lethal damage. Another card I LOVE is the antiquities war. I super wish it had like an artifact flood deck with cool things like Sai and Jhoira while also digging for some powerful answers at the same time
Goblin Motivator? I feel like making everything happen a turn earlier for 1 mana on a mentorable body should be of some value. A Legion Warboss that attacks on turn 3 is so much better than a Legion Warboss that attacks on turn 4 (the only other ways to make that happen are Llanowar elves and Skirk Prospector, but one you have to get lucky with colours and the other you have to sacrifice).
Bant flicker with some mix of Mesmerizing Benithid, Suncleanser, Knight of Autumn, Release to the Winds, Deputy of Detentions, and Justiciar's Portal. You could build it. Do it!!!!!! Please and thank you!
Played that fucker today on standard showdown as 1 of in Esper Control (don't want to pay 40€ for 1 teferi each), was a beast vs mono-red and boros weenie!
I’ve considered slotting my copy as a possible sideboard in the drake clone deck, in the event I need more defensive options. Barring that, if I don’t use it there, it’ll also be great for the Nicol Bolas Ravager/Arisen EDH deck I’ve been working on
It's especially good with Deafening Clarion for multiple reasons. Cleanse big Wildgrowrth Walker and then use Clarion to wipe it off the board alongside with all the explore creatures (and get free lifelink on Suncleanser).
Never thought of that and hate wildgrowths (so many games get em down to 3ish life and they come back)....always saw it as "a thing in the ice" alternate combo deck than izzet

Kwende, Pride of Femeref! I built a KILLER deck with lots of first strike creatures. Once you drop a Kwende, everything gets double strike. Thanks for your videos! You give so much good info, which is why my husband and I are patrons!
I've been using Chamber Sentry in tribal decks (often 2 color), but if the occasion arises to drop an Unclaimed Territory in a tribal deck, you can declare "Contsructs" to get a 3rd color if needed in a pinch. Then, if Sentry isn't eliminated right away, it becomes a "Tim" vs smaller Elves, tokens, etc. It's been good. Also combos well with Hadana's Climb.
I once tried to make a construct gate based tribal deck on arena. But I didn't have enough cards for it, although the possibility is there. You can also add quite a bit historic synergies since all constructs are artifacts, so the overall possibilities are very wast. And gate shell naturally allows you to use all the colours and if you play vanquishers banner, you can chain gate collossus indefinitely as long as you have gates (basically, you play gate, put all Collossus on top of your library, then you play them for 0 mana and automatically draw all the Collossus from the top of the library + one extra card. Also Phyerxian scriptures is nuts in this deck. It's pretty much a delayed by 1 turn wrath with upside that does NOT kill your creatures and has historic synergy with any other cards you put in your deck. I guess you can use Teshar in this list to return Battering Ram on the board whenever you play literally anything.
I expected to see Suncleanser in this list, but didn't expect it at N1 position. But yeah, it shuts down Krasis, Explore creatures, adapt creatures and Steamkin. And it has the highest toughness for the 2 drop with the exception of walls, so if can survive Deafening Clarion and some other sweepers, and can block most creatures painlessly. Definitely would like to see it in some high alert builds as well.
On top of all you said already, suncleanser also smashes pelt collector and it´s kind of good against insurgence creatures when they put the counter on, the worst of all cases along with the 1 time explore creatures, but at least still a thing. Murdering a Krasis or removing all counters from a wildgrowth... It´s just AMAZING! xD

I love Isareth...with ETB creatures to put into the yard, she leads to some disgusting plays. Always wondered why Dimir decks never played her. Resurrecting Dreameater to bounce their biggest/ most important thing and getting a huge surveil to look for more action seems like gravy.
I really like Angelic Exaltation. It works well in token decks, allows you to attack with a single creature but still receive all the power of your tokens, it easily allows you to play around settle the wreckage and it can have an effect the turn it comes in play. It makes overlooked trample creatures like Frenzied Arynx quite a threat in these token decks (naya in mind here).
would love to see like a 2$ and under video of great cards for commander/standard in each color maybe?? like a top 20 standard in black for under 2$ that would be super cool!!!!love the content!
Speaking from experience, a flipped Hadana's Climb on Turn 3 is just a 3 mana ramp spell. That's not bad, mind you, but turn 3 Winged Temple *sounds* much better than it is in practice.
Hey my friend, i have been playing one copy of Bone Dragon in my Golgari deck, don't play the walker package but Skeletons and some 'Dunk cards in the graveyard' 2 drops (the elf), seeing the deck has so much recursion options it's basically another pile of potential card advantage. And the Bone Dragon is a really nice mid/late game target to just get rid of the most useless cards in the graveyard at that point, and get a powerful flyer on the battle field... only 'downside' i have found is that 7 card (8 technically) is a lot of cards to get into the graveyard in some games, even though i also play that bone artifact (name alludes me atm) that just lets me dunk cards by tapping it, and sacrifice it to shuffle specific cards back (also one of)… Now i haven't played the deck in a while, so no clue how it stacks up against the latest meta, but the deck has been a lot of fun and pretty powerful and i would not be tempted to cut Bone Dragon from it.
Dev, like you I’ve always been a big fan of dire-fleet poisoner and I was wondering what type of deck you or anyone else thinks it slots best into, maybe a more midrange instant speed tricky deck of some sort. I’d love to see a deck tech with it some day!
18. I have a Teshar aristocrat deck that i adore. 7. Isareth is my work horse in a discard deck, recursion for a plague crafter or chupacabra even just once is amazing. 5 Chaos Wand is beautiful if you get it to stick against control or burn decks... i main board it in my goblin cavalcade deck. mildly shocked that Desecrated Tomb wasn't on the list and Open the Graves was. i think OtG is a bit more playable than DT. side note: i have a DT+OtG+Divine Visitation deck that tells a beautiful story of a Skeleton missing its old life and trying to return to what it used to be. it starts with it reentering a battlefield searching for and finding its old decayed body (zombie) in a shallow grave. after reclaiming it and climbing out of the grave it stepped off the ground remembering that it not only used to walk but soar. it grew wings (bat) and took to the sky, but it did not feel right until it saw the the sun rise (Dawn of Hope) over the battlefield. only then did it finally remember what it used to be. its wings grew feathers, its flesh healed, its weapons and armor began to shine... it became the 4th edition serra angel that died to terror a during my first game of MTG.
Captain Lannery Storm is such a good card, yes, it does to all removal but most of the times it gives you a treasure, I play it in my grixis deck, and more than once I've played Lannery turn 3, bolas turn 4, flip bolas turn 5!!!
I had a lot of fun playing chaos wand in a white prison deck I ran a while ago. Especially against aggro decks, it felt like spinning the wheel of fortune and I felt the strange hope that the opponent had a decent deck. I remember playing against a gruul aggro deck that included a lot of spells that returned cards from their graveyard to their hand, which neither he or I could use, so the opponent won because of bad deck design on his part and me drawing only lands. Lately I tried brewing a deck with biomancers familiar, chaos wand and antiquities war, didn't work out. Also, I saw this list somewhere with Benthid and Mirror March, maybe I'll try that one.
I LOVE isareth the awakener. My favorite card in standard. I play a B/U deck in arena and people constantly underestimate isareth. "Oh you have a doom whisperer and an isareth..... I'll kill the doom whisperer" no you idiot kill isareth xD And I love bringing back chupacabras, plaguecrafters, hostage takers. Another upside is that it lets you play an uncounterable creature. My favorite interaction is with lazav the multifarious, copying isareth to bring isareth back and having 2 isareths, card advantage for days. And it's great seeing a control opponent desperately try to get a planeswalker to stick when I hit them with each of my plaguecrafters twice xD
I want to make some kind of artifact deck in standard, to use Karn, Scion of Urza to its best potential, and maybe Powerstone Shard for a lite Tron effect. Do you think Conqueror's Galleon would fit, as an artifact and late game card draw engine?
Hey Dev I know you look at the comments, check this deck out. It's been smashing through the meta literally am 10-2. Played sultai midrange, mono blue aggro, white weenie/ w/u weenie, rakdos midrange, rakdos aggro , esper control, etc. I've lost to a nexus build and against mono blue aggro only to land screw. Test drive this or make a list of your own close to this man would love to see a variation on your channel! Much love Dev always!

Hey dev! So about chamber sentry, i was playing a playset of them in place of hydroid krasis in my gates deck when i didnt havr krasis. Heres wht i dont like it. 5/5 for 5 is not that big and not that good. The fact that you have to pay mana and tap it means you have to wait to untap with it which makes it awful against mono blue. It dies to vivien, gets entrancing melodied for 0 and theres just way more powerful things to be doing in the late game. For instance do you want to pay wwuubbrrgg to get a 5/5 from your gravryard or do you want to spend that mana and play an 8/8 flying trample jellyfish that gains you 4 life and draws you 4 cards. In conclusion, the card is sweet and i played basically an optimal deck for it and was left wanting more. Love the spice but the spice wasnt quite nice enough
I get your argument but if we are going to discount cards because Krasis is better that doesn't leave us with many options. And Krasis is about as far from "Budget" as you can get. P
WAY WAY back in the day, when I was first starting to learn to play I used to LOVE the "Shade" creatures, used them to great effect. They were great even though the guy who taught me to play misunderstood the rules and told me that I had to decide whether or not to pump them BEFORE combat. Even with that huge drawback they were still incredibly strong. I have been wondering about this card since I saw there was a "Shade" in the set. Haven't seen one in forever and wonder if they can still be good. It seems really strong but... what do I know. Like always, love the vid. Keep up the good work. Keep spreading love and being kind. P
When I learned to play in '93 frozen shade didn't say "until end of turn". Oh my friend hated it. He also failed to mention walls can't attack. I hated his wall of swords...
I've been messing with UW aggro w/ tetsuko and suncleanser out of the board is hilarious against a lot of decks. Bursting a swelling pelt collector is great.
I would say no, unless you have a lot of 1/x creatures that remain on the board. High alert only cares about combat damage but crew is base of attack. Ideally it can be done but usally I can do more damage with the creatures I would tap to crew galleon then to crew the ship

I tried mesmerizing benthid with murmuring mystic and had a solid illusion deck but the issue is that BENTHID HAS NO KEYWORD ABILITIES. I think either the illusions or the benthid itself should have flying. That would push it to be a proper mythic.
Connive/concoct seems so cool as a reanimator deck enabler, it just hasnt found a home yet. I guess golgari in general, muldrotha, and journey to eternity are just easier to break.
I bought one of Vegent Vampire.. For around a $1 yesterday on tcgplayer. Sure lava coil hurts. .but Tower defense Stops that and Cry of the Carnarium. .im buying 3-4 of them.. Its a 2 drop green instint that +5 on toughness to ALL your creatures. Im sideboarding it again decks that play alot of both of lava coil and Cry of Carnarium. Anyway Teysa with This vampire. .great 2 for 1 trade. And 8 life.

Vicious offering. I and always confused why people choose moment of craving over vicious offering. Sure, 2 life. But sometimes I need my Burglar rat to trade with a 5/5
@@JoelChenFa any creature is sac-able. What you mean is they don't run creatures with an upside to the sacrifice or recursion. In a zombie deck there are two very good pics for it. In my mono black deck I have burglar rats which if it is just sitting on the board can't much except chump block. You may as well use it to kill a creature with vicious offering. Many decks that pick moment of craving don't have a life gain upside either, but it's still used. Aristocrats decks normally do, so that makes sense.
Amaranthine Wall is a nice touch. or get one out with a Phylactory counter on anything, then play Phyrexian Scriptures to turn the first Lich into an artifact, follow this up by casting a second Lich putting the counter on the first... It's also fun to use flickering effects to spread more Phylactory counters. Gotta add white though for board wipes, or go Lich gates and use huge Gates Ablaze. It's fun
I feel u man, after all these good guildgate deck addition, why no try to fit chamber sentry in.. i don't get it. And I Love BONE DRAGON, i play a paper deck in rakdos colors with him and death baron, open the graves,gutterbones, priest of forgotten gods etc.
Desecrated Tomb is a pet card I was hoping to see here. Not that I think it’s better than anything on the list. It’s just the Timmy in me that really enjoyed brewing up a deck around it and getting totally stomped at FNM. 😜
I dont understand why Demon of Catastrophes doesn't see any play particularly now afterlife is a keyword. Hell I used to put it my G/B decks with no support for it at all other than midnight reaper and find and it did work.
Chamber sentry is a wrestler in the magic world. Enters the ring with Dev's music and we the fans chant his name the same way Dev says it. CHAMber Sentry! More emphasis on the CHAM!
conqueror's galleon/conqueror's foothold is too slow and your opponent will see it a mile away (ie lightning bolt or anything to tap like fire/ice will make it unplayable). Compare it to Smuggler's Copter for example. Or if you want something less broken, Sram, Senior Edificer which easily lets you keep drawing while playing auras, equipments and vehicles. Thanks for mentioning possible standard play as that does improve the value. Good limited card I admit. Aryel was cool I agree, though Grand Warlord Radha is unplayable. With Rhythm of the wilds out for power boosts/haste, it's not worth using her at all; she can't do a damn thing to Aryel and pay for herself as you said 10:10, anything with over 3 power makes her a sitting duck. Dire fleet poisoner is another counter as you don't want to waste 4 mana on Radha to hit deathtouch. You may have a spell that's cheaper, but she's a poor man's bloodbraid elf. At least cascade is counterproof and can help when hellbent/mana flooded being from the deck. Isareth the Awakener is cool with self-mill as well and yeah another card Radha doesn't want to see.
There's an obvious reason that 4+ mana cards that die to Shock aren't played. Also, anything with 4 or less toughness needs to have significant impact (i.e. Crackling Drake replaces itself) otherwise things just dying to Lava Coil become very underwhelming. I quite like some of the Guilds split cards. I feel like pieces like Response // Resurgence or Assure // Assemble have some off-tier builds that they could fit into.
I never see anyone play Metamorphic Alterations; turning someone's indestructible creature into a very destructible 1/1 goblin is pretty handy for two mana.
I'm glad to see the terror of Q'alsisma on this list. I've included him in my GW stompy deck even before guilds of ravnica... Haven't taken them off the main board since then. He basically breaks attrition games I've had against fellow aggro/mid-game decks with his trample ability and just yesterday: Turn 3 Goreclaw Turn 4: double nullhide ferox My opponent: "%) (#$=@!!!!"
Can confirm; the galleon is pretty spicy when you can crew it and get an attack in. The ship that triggered from Explore was pretty tight, too. Yas. Open the Graves. Raise the roof. Sac everything. Invite the Baron. Aaaaand swing. Got it off... once. Was a pretty epic once, tho. :P Benthid is the best tho, ESPECIALLY THAT LAST LINE OF TEXT. It works, my doods. ANY Illusion. Throw in Murmuring Mystic and maybe Narcomeba. Mebbe Mirror Image and Quasiduplicate. And wait for the concede. >:B

I have been siding Suncleanser since it came out and people always laugh...until it targets their Wildgrowth Walker. Then they say, that's dumb. lol

I run the crap out of dread shade. My black tempo deck cranks platinum and diamond. Might get mythic if I put more work into it
been playing benthid as a one of to tutor with in temur vannifar and it's been great at slowing down things enough to really start pumping out value

YES! I play 4 Suncleanser in my Azorius deck sideboard. They have been okay against mono red, white weenie, and awkward against Krasis.
Unmoored ego, this card is criminally underrated for "3 mana, if this card resolves, exile enemy win condition"

And the Bone Dragon is a really nice mid/late game target to just get rid of the most useless cards in the graveyard at that point, and get a powerful flyer on the battle field... only 'downside' i have found is that 7 card (8 technically) is a lot of cards to get into the graveyard in some games, even though i also play that bone artifact (name alludes me atm) that just lets me dunk cards by tapping it, and sacrifice it to shuffle specific cards back (also one of)… Now i haven't played the deck in a while, so no clue how it stacks up against the latest meta, but the deck has been a lot of fun and pretty powerful and i would not be tempted to cut Bone Dragon from it.
I'm disappointed "Deadeye Tracker" wasn't mentioned. I'm considering running it in Modern.

7. Isareth is my work horse in a discard deck, recursion for a plague crafter or chupacabra even just once is amazing.
5 Chaos Wand is beautiful if you get it to stick against control or burn decks... i main board it in my goblin cavalcade deck.
mildly shocked that Desecrated Tomb wasn't on the list and Open the Graves was. i think OtG is a bit more playable than DT.
side note: i have a DT+OtG+Divine Visitation deck that tells a beautiful story of a Skeleton missing its old life and trying to return to what it used to be. it starts with it reentering a battlefield searching for and finding its old decayed body (zombie) in a shallow grave. after reclaiming it and climbing out of the grave it stepped off the ground remembering that it not only used to walk but soar. it grew wings (bat) and took to the sky, but it did not feel right until it saw the the sun rise (Dawn of Hope) over the battlefield. only then did it finally remember what it used to be. its wings grew feathers, its flesh healed, its weapons and armor began to shine... it became the 4th edition serra angel that died to terror a during my first game of MTG.
My boyfriend made a cool Zegana commander deck with hydras. Works really well and it's super fun.

It’s not competitive but it runs biomancers familiar and djinn of wishes to cheat cards like benthid and Ooze into play
Captain Lannery Storm is such a good card, yes, it does to all removal but most of the times it gives you a treasure, I play it in my grixis deck, and more than once I've played Lannery turn 3, bolas turn 4, flip bolas turn 5!!!
I had a lot of fun playing chaos wand in a white prison deck I ran a while ago. Especially against aggro decks, it felt like spinning the wheel of fortune and I felt the strange hope that the opponent had a decent deck. I remember playing against a gruul aggro deck that included a lot of spells that returned cards from their graveyard to their hand, which neither he or I could use, so the opponent won because of bad deck design on his part and me drawing only lands.
Lately I tried brewing a deck with biomancers familiar, chaos wand and antiquities war, didn't work out.
Also, I saw this list somewhere with Benthid and Mirror March, maybe I'll try that one.

I LOVE isareth the awakener. My favorite card in standard. I play a B/U deck in arena and people constantly underestimate isareth. "Oh you have a doom whisperer and an isareth..... I'll kill the doom whisperer" no you idiot kill isareth xD And I love bringing back chupacabras, plaguecrafters, hostage takers. Another upside is that it lets you play an uncounterable creature. My favorite interaction is with lazav the multifarious, copying isareth to bring isareth back and having 2 isareths, card advantage for days. And it's great seeing a control opponent desperately try to get a planeswalker to stick when I hit them with each of my plaguecrafters twice xD
i got a player in our group that likes Animar. That Suncleanser is a great counter for that commander.
I want to make some kind of artifact deck in standard, to use Karn, Scion of Urza to its best potential, and maybe Powerstone Shard for a lite Tron effect. Do you think Conqueror's Galleon would fit, as an artifact and late game card draw engine?
Figured Chamber Sentry would fit into the Gates deck because of the mana base. Glad to see Dread Shade and Galleon for sure.
Hey Dev I know you look at the comments, check this deck out. It's been smashing through the meta literally am 10-2. Played sultai midrange, mono blue aggro, white weenie/ w/u weenie, rakdos midrange, rakdos aggro , esper control, etc. I've lost to a nexus build and against mono blue aggro only to land screw. Hey dev! So about chamber sentry, i was playing a playset of them in place of hydroid krasis in my gates deck when i didnt havr krasis. Heres wht i dont like it. 5/5 for 5 is not that big and not that good. The fact that you have to pay mana and tap it means you have to wait to untap with it which makes it awful against mono blue. It dies to vivien, gets entrancing melodied for 0 and theres just way more powerful things to be doing in the late game. For instance do you want to pay wwuubbrrgg to get a 5/5 from your gravryard or do you want to spend that mana and play an 8/8 flying trample jellyfish that gains you 4 life and draws you 4 cards. In conclusion, the card is sweet and i played basically an optimal deck for it and was left wanting more. Love the spice but the spice wasnt quite nice enough
I get your argument but if we are going to discount cards because Krasis is better that doesn't leave us with many options. And Krasis is about as far from "Budget" as you can get. P

WAY WAY back in the day, when I was first starting to learn to play I used to LOVE the "Shade" creatures, used them to great effect. They were great even though the guy who taught me to play misunderstood the rules and told me that I had to decide whether or not to pump them BEFORE combat. Even with that huge drawback they were still incredibly strong. I have been wondering about this card since I saw there was a "Shade" in the set. Haven't seen one in forever and wonder if they can still be good. It seems really strong but... what do I know.

I've been messing with UW aggro w/ tetsuko and suncleanser out of the board is hilarious against a lot of decks. Bursting a swelling pelt collector is great.

I would say no, unless you have a lot of 1/x creatures that remain on the board. High alert only cares about combat damage but crew is base of attack. Ideally it can be done but usally I can do more damage with the creatures I would tap to crew galleon then to crew the ship

I tried mesmerizing benthid with murmuring mystic and had a solid illusion deck but the issue is that BENTHID HAS NO KEYWORD ABILITIES. I think either the illusions or the benthid itself should have flying. That would push it to be a proper mythic.
Connive/concoct seems so cool as a reanimator deck enabler, it just hasnt found a home yet. I guess golgari in general, muldrotha, and journey to eternity are just easier to break.

I bought one of Vegent Vampire.. For around a $1 yesterday on tcgplayer. Sure lava coil hurts. .but Tower defense Stops that and Cry of the Carnarium. .im buying 3-4 of them.. Its a 2 drop green instint that +5 on toughness to ALL your creatures. Im sideboarding it again decks that play alot of both of lava coil and Cry of Carnarium.
Anyway Teysa with This vampire. .great 2 for 1 trade. And 8 life.

Vicious offering. I and always confused why people choose moment of craving over vicious offering. Sure, 2 life. But sometimes I need my Burglar rat to trade with a 5/5

@@JoelChenFa any creature is sac-able. What you mean is they don't run creatures with an upside to the sacrifice or recursion. In a zombie deck there are two very good pics for it. In my mono black deck I have burglar rats which if it is just sitting on the board can't much except chump block. You may as well use it to kill a creature with vicious offering.
Many decks that pick moment of craving don't have a life gain upside either, but it's still used. Aristocrats decks normally do, so that makes sense.

Amaranthine Wall is a nice touch. or get one out with a Phylactory counter on anything, then play Phyrexian Scriptures to turn the first Lich into an artifact, follow this up by casting a second Lich putting the counter on the first... It's also fun to use flickering effects to spread more Phylactory counters. Gotta add white though for board wipes, or go Lich gates and use huge Gates Ablaze. It's fun

Desecrated Tomb is a pet card I was hoping to see here. Not that I think it’s better than anything on the list. It’s just the Timmy in me that really enjoyed brewing up a deck around it and getting totally stomped at FNM. 😜

I dont understand why Demon of Catastrophes doesn't see any play particularly now afterlife is a keyword. Hell I used to put it my G/B decks with no support for it at all other than midnight reaper and find and it did work.

Vengeant vampire might be playable at 5, but at 6 I've either died or already stabilized against mono U or R
conqueror's galleon/conqueror's foothold is too slow and your opponent will see it a mile away (ie lightning bolt or anything to tap like fire/ice will make it unplayable). Compare it to Smuggler's Copter for example. Or if you want something less broken, Sram, Senior Edificer which easily lets you keep drawing while playing auras, equipments and vehicles. Thanks for mentioning possible standard play as that does improve the value. Good limited card I admit. Aryel was cool I agree, though Grand Warlord Radha is unplayable.
With Rhythm of the wilds out for power boosts/haste, it's not worth using her at all; she can't do a damn thing to Aryel and pay for herself as you said 10:10, anything with over 3 power makes her a sitting duck. Dire fleet poisoner is another counter as you don't want to waste 4 mana on Radha to hit deathtouch. You may have a spell that's cheaper, but she's a poor man's bloodbraid elf. At least cascade is counterproof and can help when hellbent/mana flooded being from the deck.
Isareth the Awakener is cool with self-mill as well and yeah another card Radha doesn't want to see.

There's an obvious reason that 4+ mana cards that die to Shock aren't played. Also, anything with 4 or less toughness needs to have significant impact (i.e. Crackling Drake replaces itself) otherwise things just dying to Lava Coil become very underwhelming.
I quite like some of the Guilds split cards. I feel like pieces like Response // Resurgence or Assure // Assemble have some off-tier builds that they could fit into.
I never see anyone play Metamorphic Alterations; turning someone's indestructible creature into a very destructible 1/1 goblin is pretty handy for two mana.
i really wish dread shade had menace, it shouldve had menace, its a damn menacing card
But it's an overstated shade as is. Most are 1/1's for 3cc, 4cc with an evasion effect. This is a 3/3 for 3cc, which is huge in it's survivability.
Goreclaw is awesome tell me another card that lets you drop wayward swordtooth, and ghalta for 3 green mana
I'm glad to see the terror of Q'alsisma on this list. I've included him in my GW stompy deck even before guilds of ravnica... Haven't taken them off the main board since then. He basically breaks attrition games I've had against fellow aggro/mid-game decks with his trample ability and just yesterday:

Can confirm; the galleon is pretty spicy when you can crew it and get an attack in. The ship that triggered from Explore was pretty tight, too.

Benthid is the best tho, ESPECIALLY THAT LAST LINE OF TEXT. It works, my doods. ANY Illusion. Throw in Murmuring Mystic and maybe Narcomeba. Mebbe Mirror Image and Quasiduplicate. And wait for the concede. >:B
