I had the privilege of meeting Switchfoot about 7 months ago after a show and every single one of the guys is as humble and as full of kindness as you could imagine. I've been playing all types of music and instruments for about 8 years now and I'm really into Jon's solo work...I play a lot of them at local coffee shops much like he does. The richness of the lyrics and creativity of the music is something that I love and I thank God for giving them to Mr. Foreman.
i know a lot of people that worship to Chris Tomlin but i really can't but i can worship to Jon foreman so easily and he is completely awesome and full of God.
Wow!i can totally relate to this song because i feel that, sometimes in youth groups at church. And the fact that this song is based on Isaiah 1:11-17 is simply amazing! Thanks for posting this!!!! Jon foreman and Switchfoot rock man!!
hmm i've got a take on this song which some people will find uncomfortable: the reason why some people will think other Christian i-love-you-Lord outright lyrics type of songs are crap is because... their own lives, spiritually at least, are crap too, and that's why they feel it's so fake.. all i'm saying, dun call the songwriter fake when the problem is not him, but more likely .. you. anyway, this was what i felt when i heard this awesome song
did he say "it's straight out of Isaiah" or "..Amos" 'cause im pretty sure that verse(i hate all your show and pretense...) is from Amos 5:12 nonetheless, i love Jon's songs :) thanks for this
check out martin guitars -- see john mayer's : in your atomosphere (live in LA) youtube video. on my youtube channel if u don't want to search for it. john mayer's an amazing artist/guitarist
I totally agree with this. But people have to be careful & understand that God (& Jon here) aren't saying that worship music in & of the Spirit & Truth are wrong & unwelcoming to God. Just that those singing with hypocritcal & unrepentent hearts. On the contrary, we are instructed to worship God. This is know because it is littered throught Psalms. At the same time, "God looks on those & sees their hearts."
What a hypocrite! (I heard from a non-denom M.Div student at Bellarmine way out East that this guy, "Jon" was going to enter Christian celebrity MMA PPV matches. Evidently it's a M. Driscoll joint. I guess Marc's like the Ref and the Announcers and the Bookie and the Judges.) No disrespect to Marc, more Power to Him. But for reals let me get in the Octagon with LaCrae...Or Toby. Or Mac. Better yet, Driscoll if you reading this bro, Me vs. Jenny Kansas for the title. Gloves off. She gon see these hands... Chizzzzzle! I'm walkin out to Pat Boone's cover of "Enter Sandman" and aint nobody stopping me. Also Scissors shouldn't hold. That's just a completely irrelevant thought.

how is Jon Foreman/Switchfoot/Fiction Family not as known as Green Day?
Probably being part of their own independent label, promotion is harder and they do kind of like to keep it that way i think
Could you tell me exactly where it is in Isaiah, I want to read it, Thanks!! =).
hey what is this song called
straight out of Isaiah - seems to be from Isaiah 1:11-17 (or there abouts)
@chronicmango really? i thought it was out of Amos 5:21-24
Unplugged from a stage, but he still has an amp. ;)

Kinda sad this channel is dead now :(
Check out Isaiah 1:11-17 and next time, do some research before you speak. Jon was right. It is straight out of Isaiah and also from Amos 5. Peace
