Wow they are such a simply inspiring band It's seems almost not possible for them to make something that doesn't sound amazing I love every one of their CD's even from way back Legend of Chin.
I hope they never stop making music.. I'd be soo sad. I would start crying if they broke up. im an 18 year guy. Their my favorite band! I'd cry for days and days
Well johnny this is another hit with me.. matter of fact the whole Hello Hurricane album is. I'm glad your music came into my life. (: this song alone changed in many ways.
I'm still proud to say that Switchfoot was the first band I ever went to. My first case of concert deafness, and me stumbling out of the place disoriented and happy. Best of all, they were chucking stuff into the crowd, which I thought was trash, then realized it was links to download their albums free. :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
What I love about Switchfoot is that to them, music is art. That doesn't mean that they hide their beliefs behind the music. If you have to force your beliefs into your art, you might be overcompensating. Let it flow.
mandolin awesomeness 8D can't silence my love for Christ, man. they've been together almost 14 years, that itself is amazing. and they still make great music that brings glory to God. :3333
@roundglasskeys --That's awesome, bro! I taught myself guitar listening to all of Foreman's masterful compositions. Switchfoot helped make a songwriter out of me. :D
@questie34 For future reference, his name is Jon Foreman. And he plays a bunch of instruments, like his vocal chords lol, guitar, mandolin (as 111soccer111 kindly answered you), harmonica, piano, and a little trumpet. but of course in this song it sounds like he's using mandolin
today (Dec. 06, 2014) we will face another strong typhoon (Ruby) here in the Philippines. I know we can face this. Although Christmas is coming, we must stay strong. I know we can still put a smile in our face after this one. That's how Filipinos are so strong and so faithful to God. Please pray for us. " Super Typhoon Ruby can't silence Filipino's love "
@1stbasemanDrummerJLK To me the hurricane that Jon is talking about is the world that's trying to tell him and all Christians that loving God is wrong. He's taking a stand and saying that no matter what is thrown at him he will continue to live life and love God while he's doing it. The beauty of their music is that it means one thing to different people.
Its really good music and yeh a real shame that it gets so little publicity, although I like having a band to listen to that not that many people know about.
@itskragus Im pretty sure you can distort anything. Thanks for the help, I looked up the tabs and it's mostly just the way he plays the song. He plays a lot of chords higher up on the guitar and the mandolin backs it up.
I still listen to Nothing Is Sound, which I think is sickeningly underrated and overshadowed by its predecessor The Beautiful Letdown. But enough on that, let's take a look at Hello Hurricane, which is a refreshing blast back into the sound and songwriting that drew me to switchfoot after a *relatively* disappointing previous effort in Oh! Gravity. This is one of the highlights from the record, and my personal favorite.
SWITCHFOOT KEEP ROCKING!!!!! YOU ARE ONE OF AMERICA'S LAST HOPES FOR GOOD MUSIC!!!!!!!!!
NEVER STOP rockin' Switchfooot!!!
Wow they are such a simply inspiring band It's seems almost not possible for them to make something that doesn't sound amazing I love every one of their CD's even from way back Legend of Chin.
One of the most strongest songs I've ever heard switchfoot will always be my band
I hope they never stop making music.. I'd be soo sad. I would start crying if they broke up. im an 18 year guy. Their my favorite band! I'd cry for days and days

@1stbasemanDrummerJLK To me the hurricane that Jon is talking about is the world that's trying to tell him and all Christians that loving God is wrong. i have to say....the transitition from oh!gravity to hello hurricane was huge
@itskragus Im pretty sure you can distort anything. Thanks for the help, I looked up the tabs and it's mostly just the way he plays the song. He plays a lot of chords higher up on the guitar and the mandolin backs it up.
