Don't you mean "tap the sword AND the Thopter"? If you're making one mana by tapping the sword, only to use the mana to sac the sword, you're not getting out ahead.
I'm surprised Arcanis the Omnipotent isn't on it. It can Ancestral Recall by tapping it, and if you have the mana around, you can return it to your hand at instant speed to counter kill spells.
Ooo! This seems like a fun idea for top 10. Do you plan on doing a top 10 legendary creatures for each color? And then maybe for each color PAIR? It’s exciting to think about
@Nizzahon - Please give the Top 10 Legendary Green creatures list a runback. It's so far away from the other 4 color lists and it didn't use the EDH scoring system. Please give us an update!
Ahhh, legendary blue creatures. Personally, I'm just sad there aren't any legendary Homarids, given they are obviously my favourite creature type. Just like how I am sad that we still haven't got "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)"!
It's amazing that Orvar is on Arena but none use it in Historic Brawl, when in EDH is the SECOND most played commander! It's because there are still not enough blue spells who target your permanents on Arena? There's the blue/green commander Ivy, but being two colors maybe help her...
Nice! What about (big?) creatures (or not?) That tries to do stuff but fails, like Arcanis the Omnipotent, who basically cast an Ancestral Recall by tapping it but he cost six mama, has no haste nor s good protection
I'm not sure why Reveka, Wizard Savant isn't on this list. Its mono blue burn fury is amazing in Commander, let alone being from the best set, Homelands.
It's really mind-boggling. In a meta full of hyperbroken Joven and Chandler shenanigans roaming around, Reveka is the only thing keeping the format together.
In the lore, the Vendilion Clique is three specific faeries named Iliona, Veesa and Endry. They play a fairly large role in the story of Lorwyn and Shadowmoor
I really think Jin-Gitaxias from March of the Machine should get a mention here. The back side of his card is absolutely busted and the fact that you can keep flipping him over and over again to keep exponentially increasing your card draw, while then being able to cast all of it for free is wild. I’m also speaking in terms of him being a commander, as far as other formats I don’t know.
I still feel 100 EDH decks is far too little to equal a high level event like a Grand Prix, feeling more like it should be 1,000. This list would be a lot different if a card like Talrand, which has seen almost no competitive play, did not have an insane 40 points, more than a lot of insane power cards shown in these top 10s simply off the back of often casual EDH. It just feels like EDHRec, which is filled to the brim with meme and casual deck techs should have to meet a higher bar to be considered on-par with tournaments with prizes and a lot of fame attached. That said, this list was quite interesting as it shows, at least by this metric, there are a LOT of legendary blue creatures that were completely worthless in 60 card formats and a lot completely unliked for commander. Easily one of the more polarized lists it feels with obvious outliers like Urza, which was direct to modern and meant to be broth flavorful and broken. Teferi though? 37 points in competitive events and....2 in EDH. Talrand, which got two Grand Prix? A staple in commander. Just shows how different the formats truly are.
Basically Top 10 Legendary Wizards
Wait Urza's the only non wizard on the list LMFAO
He's HIGH Artificer after all, not high wizard 🧐
@@Vario69Wait... If he's a high artificer, shouldn't he be green with power/toughness 4/20?
There might also be non mono blue legendary wizards who would have made the list, like Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar.
Wizards has a power trip fantasy, and solves it with numerous inserts?
You don't say!!
Note: 9:15 you can tap the sword instead of the Thopter before you sac it. Make infinite mana while at it
Don't you mean "tap the sword AND the Thopter"? If you're making one mana by tapping the sword, only to use the mana to sac the sword, you're not getting out ahead.
@genius11433 yeah, I'm saying you'll have thopters untapped for mana later this way. Which can be used for infinite mana (or activations of urza)
I'm surprised Arcanis the Omnipotent isn't on it. It can Ancestral Recall by tapping it, and if you have the mana around, you can return it to your hand at instant speed to counter kill spells.
Powercreep has not been kind to Arcanis.
Hakim, Loreweaver has been waiting 607 episodes for this one.....AAAAAND it's gone!
I must admit I dind't eve realize that the Clique was legendary...
Ooo! This seems like a fun idea for top 10. Do you plan on doing a top 10 legendary creatures for each color? And then maybe for each color PAIR?
It’s exciting to think about
At the beginning of the video, he said that he has already done a top 10 legendary creatures list for each of the four other colors already.
Jace, Vyrn's Prodigy?
Edit:
Ahhhh, the clique, fair.

Number 1 was unexpected, I always forget it's legendary.
Yo Nizzahon, you are truly awesome. Every one of your vids gets me more and more excited to learn new formats! Thank you! :)

Is that genuine or not? Because im a massive homarid fan.
We do have *a* legendary homarid but its a mystery booster card
@@tefnutofhoney2832 Unfortunately, aside from that mystery booster, still no legendary homarids. I'm sure you can guess *why* I like them, but yeah.

Mono blue Commander players are sleeping on arcum dagsson.
I've been playing Arcum for years...he is totally busted
Nice!

#5 wonder if this was somehow printed BEFORE affinity for Artifacts was a thing. Cause it sounds exactly like it. 👀 Hmm.
I like that 4 out of 10 of them are Planeswalkers
I'm not sure why Reveka, Wizard Savant isn't on this list. Its mono blue burn fury is amazing in Commander, let alone being from the best set, Homelands.
Such a shame that Reveka has been power crept. XD
HOMELANDS GANG RISE UP!
I'm going to hazard a guess, that it's not on the list because it didn't have enough points
It's really mind-boggling. In a meta full of hyperbroken Joven and Chandler shenanigans roaming around, Reveka is the only thing keeping the format together.

Oh, didn't know Teferi was so old
He's been an important part of the Magic story since Mirage block, and he was already pretty old when he first showed up.
6:47, but how do you get the amber in play back to the graveyard?
Mox Amber is legendary, so when you have two of them in play, you have to send one to the graveyard
@@ViashinoWizard Ah thanks, I somehow forgot was legendary lol
Oh boy, time for another round of elitists complaining about counting commander~
nice! keep up the good work nizz
I forgot that Vendilion Clique was Legendary. The name doesn't really indicate that it is.
In the lore, the Vendilion Clique is three specific faeries named Iliona, Veesa and Endry. They play a fairly large role in the story of Lorwyn and Shadowmoor
No Arcanis?
Every blur deck not playing urzs in Commander do so cause he's to strong xD
TIL clique is legendary. Huh
take my like sir
3:22 That's not true. He was represented by Disruptive Student in Urza's Saga.

This list uses objective scoring, not "I feels."
