This video has turned it all around for me, I was trying to get decent results and it was super yuk but dropping the power and speeds to the same as you said and the fact you also have a 100wt laser has helped me a lot. Thanks so much.

its not easy to control the quality of the black(coat) spray right?i mean the next one how to control the same amount of the spray and then you had to adjust the laser power and speed also? I never try this methode(norton) because i own 50w laser.

I just spray paint till i get a full, solid coat. I didn't think it was to hard at all. I used 40% power 10" ips. Try it, you may find it works out fine.

"I'm running this at 20 on the speed"...
20 what? Is that in gallons, grams, or acres?

    • @bobreichel
      @bobreichel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Speed is cm per second/ or in per second
      Mine is 20 cm-ps
      Power is percentage
If you run a cutting software you should have known that.

      @@bobreichel Ahh. 20 cm/s. See, now you've given a useful number.
I rarely see speed expressed as cm/sec.
mm/sec, mm/min, inch/sec, inch/min are all common and you didn't tell us what you use, therefore the question.
Been using cutting software for years and I know that "20" is not a speed.
But if you run a cutting software you should have known that.

@@lovethosekitties1005 My fault mm-ps is what I ment to say. If you use Lightburn it is it's default setting. I didn't think I would have to explain what I meant as like I said it is it's default setting. But you win, I concede.

@@bobreichel I'm sorry, there's nothing for you to concede and I'm not trying to "win". I'm just trying to figure out what you're doing.
OK, I'll go along with mm/sec being default in Lightburn I guess. It's what I use.
So now you're saying 20mm/sec? Because what I see in the video is WAY faster than 20mm/sec unless the vid is speeded way up, and the rate of smoke movement suggests not.
I'm not trying to be a wise guy, I'm trying to figure out what speed you are REALLY using in real distance/time units.

@@lovethosekitties1005 Looks like 200 mm/sec if not faster.
