I’m telling you: Mood boost mode activate!!! This track’s music gives me an instantaneous mood boost!!! I love how much classical charm they put into the melody, and those bass solos are so hyped.
"The music theory"? Just say it sounds "complex and well-directed", "jazzy", "progressive", "smart", anything but a term being very misueed right there.
This tune almost sounds like a musical sugar rush. You got the climactic violin intro into a fast-paced theme, and the action just builds progressively from there until… 0:38 BAM!!! You’re hit with a flurry of notes from… something electronic; the violins later return with a modulating outro (0:58). It’s just an overall lovely piece of music.
The introduction is what really makes this course stand out. The music gives off a sugar rush with all those sweets all around you. I just wish there was more to the ramps and layout. The blue icy platforms also feel too floaty to land on. Still a fun theme though.

It blew me away that Sky-High Sundae was announced as a new track in the DLC. I didn't expect that as it *WAS* advertised to bring back tracks from previous games in the series. This song sounds really fun. And of course the bass has to be the best part of the song.

Why else do you think they would feel the need to point out it is coming to Tour later?

The Wave 2 trailer also said beforehand that it would come to Tour, too... which was like a week ago. Also it being too short is an invalid reason, as literally EVERY course is reduced to 2 laps in Tour. Baby Park is reduced to 5. 3DS Rainbow Road is the ONLY course that remains 3 laps due to the structure of the course.
Despite being the THIRD OVAL TRACK in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it still blew me away. And of course, the music is a banger. Just wish the anti gravity actually mattered to the track layout.
I'm more surprised that all three oval tracks in MK8 still feel quite distinct from each other. Baby Park is the shortest, but the most hectic, especially with 12 players, 7 laps and antigravity enabled everywhere. Excitebike Arena is the most basic, but has randomized trick ramps and dash panels. Sky-High Sundae uses elements from both Baby Park (antigravity) and Excitebike Arena (trick ramps), but has split paths everywhere, high grounds and low grounds, and has alternately shaped roads that aren't connected to each other at all.

Literally nothing is different aside from the fact that you are upside down in some tracks with AG but you really only see that when watching a replay, when in the race, literally nobody focuses that much on whether you‘re on anti gravity mode or not
A dev at Nintendo played Fall Guys season 3 for an hour and said “shit, guys I have an amazing idea” And they were right. But no seriously, the upbeat wintery music paired with the slap bass and the cool color palette reminds me so much of Fall Guys during Season 3
Love the music!!! Fits the track perfectly. Finally we get an original track in the DLC Waves that uses the Anti Grav function. My favorite track thus far, they need to keep this creativity up.
