I knew I was doing something wrong. I need some of those needles! I've been hand stringing 11/0 seed beads for weeks. It's killing my hands. Thanks so much for the tutorial. You may have saved my fingers and eyes from some much unneeded pain and strain.
The two I ordered arrived today, and one is done, lol. I love these kits because even though I’ve been creating jewelry for quite a while, sometimes I just want to sit and bead without having to go through the design process myself.
I love this pattern. I did look up on the website to buy the kit, but it was out and I know it's been 2 years since this was posted. I just always try to support the person who does the video. But, I have been making them on my own, and actually found the stretch thread, I love it. Works really well for these bracelets. Thank you!
It was so fun to have another Julie video to edit! This is a guest spot from her, she's keeping busy with other project these days, but we're always glad to have Julie visit!

Thank you! I am not too familiar with threaded elastic so you will need to do some experimenting. I would definitely suggest that you try pulling and tugging on the threaded elastic before you put beads on it just to make sure it doesn't snap or loose too much of its elasticity. Good luck!
We hear ya, we miss doing kumi videos too. They're not as easy to make in our at home studio tho, so we've been focusing on other projects during quarantine times. Hopefully we'll be back in our full sized studio in a few months and making more kumi videos. We did do a nice video on color blocking kumi back in January though, make sure you don't miss this one: th-cam.com/video/E4jL_Bv3L_A/w-d-xo.html
I would love to make the beautiful bracelet you have made in the same color. Is there an opportunity to see the different beards you have chosen? Thank you😊
We may try something like this in the future if we can figure out a way to keep it from getting too tangled. If you do any experiments let us know how they turn out.
I ❤️ this comment!! I just started using a crimp covers on these types of bracelets. I tried not knotting them just use a crimp bead then the crimp cover... to me the bracelet looks more attractive with the cover because I really don’t like that knot since it won’t be covered by the bead if it’s a tiny bead...but I might try your way lol
Very informative video. Thank you very much. But i need your advice for measurements for wrist ages fro 1 year to 7 years. Thanking you in advance and wait for your reply.
We highly recommend getting a wrist measurement if possible, but we will post some suggestions below. 0-1 years: 4 inches 2-4 years: 4.5 to 5 inches 5-10 years: 5 to 6.5 inches. Thanks for watching!
I purchased the coral set and just love it! Thank you for such a great Kit with easy to follow instructions! I used up the Opelon and threw the empty roll away! Would you please tell me what size the cord is? Thank you again for a great project!
Pretty summery bracelets thanks Julie. Do you recommend pre stretching the opelon before putting the beads on? Would it help bracelets not get overly stretched out after wear?
Hi, I like these so much. They are a treat for me. Kindly tell if we purchase locally how many beads we should buy. I wish I will be there to have them.
Let me give you an estimate of how many beads of each type we include in the kit. You don't have to use all of these beads, this is just a rough count: We include roughly 1370 of these mixed 8/0 seed beads: beadaholique.com/products/czech-seed-beads-8-0-coral-reflections-red-1-ounce 30 of these 3x5mm glass beads: beadaholique.com/products/czech-glass-beads-faceted-rondelle-3mm-coral-red-opaque-with-picasso-finish-1-strand-by-ravens-journey Roughly 100 of these 4mm cube beads: beadaholique.com/products/miyuki-4mm-glass-cube-bead-mix-crystal-medley-10-grams 25 of these 6mm fire polished beads: beadaholique.com/products/czech-fire-polished-glass-beads-6mm-round-matte-metallic-gold-25 And lastly 260 of these 8/0 seed beads: beadaholique.com/products/toho-seed-beads-round-8-0-989-gold-lined-crystal-8-grams
Some of the 2mm beads we've tired are a little too small of this style of 0.7mm elastic. Hole sizes vary though so it will depend on what beads you use.
Here's the smallest stretch cord we stock, it's a round cord so it'll behave a little different than the Opelon, but it's thinner by about 25% so it may be a better be the best bet for trying this knoting technique with very small beads: beadaholique.com/products/stretch-magic-cord-round-5mm-019-inch-width-25-meter-spool-clear
I think this could be a gorgeous as one continuous loop, but I worry about how easily it would get tangled too. It could be a delicate piece to take off and store at that length. Just something to keep in mind if you want to modify the design.
@@beadaholique i agree also the 12 is more flexible fashion wise. I thought of seed bead only if its a continuous loop check out nonasdesigns on instagram thank you Beadaholique

The Opelon stretch cord doesn't need pre-stretching in our experience. You certainly can, it won't harm anything, but it's not necessary with these bracelets.
