I have a success story to tell. So in high school I did not do well. I winded up graduating with only a 2.7 GPA. I wanted to go to the Colorado School of Mines so bad and get an engineering degree. But my grades were just not good enough. So I winded up just making the cut into Metro State College of Denver. I took all my general requirements at Metro and then winded up transferring my credits to University of Colorado at Denver which had a good engineering department. To cut to the chase, I winded up getting a Mechanical Engineering degree and graduated with a 3.5 GPA. I have been working as a mechanical engineer for the past 13 years. And I am making good money working in the aerospace industry. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Never doubt yourself and your capabilities!!! And if you can’t get into the college of your dreams it’s okay. There are many other colleges that will also prepare you well enough to get a good, professional, high-paying job!
