Hi, I am working on heat transfer analysis on double pipe heat exchanger with serrated finned tubes. I would like to ask how can I calculate the Pressure drop and the friction factor in Ansys and what equation should I use?
henlo. that's a great tutorial, amazing. I'm an undergraduate student who is learning about heat transfer material. if you don't mind, can I get a file related to the parameters listed in minute 0:09 - 0:32 on this video? I would be glad if you could send it to me, because it would really help me in the learning process! hihi, thank you :3
Dear Sir, Great video and very helpful for our university project. Can you do a video on how to analyze the Mechanical Induced draft Counterflow Wet Cooling Tower using ANSYS Fluent software? If you help it would be a great pleasure. 😊
It really does not matter. It has nothing to do with ur solution. We will set reference values only for finding additional parameters like heat transfer coefficient etc. In this solution we our focus was temperature field, pressure field and velocity field at outlet.
So u don't need to mess with reference values. Just leave them as it is. In case if u want to figure out heat transfer coefficient by making use of reference u can refer to one my video where I set the reference temperature to get the heat transfer coefficient. please refer our video validation of Nusselt number
great tutorial .will you please tell me how to draw a straight pipe through this spiral pipe and connect this spiral pipe with this straight pipe??Thank you.
Thank you for your reply. I have drawn spiral pipe and straight pipe. The straight is in the middle of this spiral .But I have faced trouble in connecting this spiral pipe with this straight pipe. It will be very beneficial if you elaborate how can I use sweep method for connecting this pipes. Thank you.
hi Thanks for the nice tutorial. Can you tell me how can i find Nusselt number, Reynolds Number, shell side heat transfer coefficent, shell side friction factor
How exactly are you getting the walls: 1. wall-hot_fluid_domain-inner pipe 2. wall-hot_fluid_domain-inner pipe Did you redefine the contact regions for these walls?
@@AnsysLearningPoint I am doing all the steps but after setting up in fluent the answer I am getting is quite different. That's why I was asking for the case and data file, for my personal use.

Hi
There is no coverage when i use turbulent flow in heat exchanger. Why

Why at 35:53 did you set the temperature to 26.85?

sir... why I cannot run the solver more than 2 cores, if I choose more than 2 cores processor it appear exception error
the formula used is for the tube side heat transfer coefficient i am guessing??
Hi can you tell me how to find the resistance of a ship experiencing unsteady flow?
Yes you can find by determining the drag of ship
Hi I want to replace the fluid in the coil with water and supply hot air in the shell to heat the water, how can I do that
great tutorial .will you please tell me how to draw a straight pipe through this spiral pipe and connect this spiral pipe with this straight pipe??Thank you.
Just select the plane perpendicular to circular pipe section and select sketch and draw a circle and then extrude
And if you want to connect straight pipe to inlet or outlet of spiral pipe then use sweep command
Thank you for your reply. I have drawn spiral pipe and straight pipe. The straight is in the middle of this spiral .But I have faced trouble in connecting this spiral pipe with this straight pipe. Can you send the file plz
sir how can we calculate pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient in shell side in ansys. which equations are used
Have you calculated that pressure drop and Heat transfer coefficient? I also want to know how to find it.
hi
Thanks for the nice tutorial. Can you tell me how can i find Nusselt number, Reynolds Number, shell side heat transfer coefficent, shell side friction factor
Is this method can be used with plane wall?
No
Brilliant video very helpful but just to let you know that there isn't any sound not sure if this is intentional or not
Intentionally we have placed the audio where necessary
How exactly are you getting the walls:
1. wall-hot_fluid_domain-inner pipe
2. wall-hot_fluid_domain-inner pipe
Did you redefine the contact regions for these walls?
No. Conformal Modelling and conformal Meshing has been done due to which no need define contact regions or interfaces
@@muhammadshariqkhan4498 , I have designed using Fusion360 and I am getting unwanted walls in Fluent solver. What do I do?
First important in ansys workbench design modeler or spaceclaim and repair geometry, define contact regions and couple them.
@@muhammadshariqkhan4498 Thank you very much!
Hi sir. Can you make mesh for this case ?
How much time did you need to mesh the objects?
It depends on the whether simple or highly dense mesh you want to make
In this video,i got the meshing prblm... my aspect ratio is more than 1800.. how can i solve this...if u help it would be great pleasure.. thank u
I have given you answer in an email
Why your overall heat transfer coefficient is coming negative?
Hey, can I get the case and data file ?
Bro these are very secrets to our client.....we have given permission only to publish it's physics!
Do you have any ambiguity can ask here!

Hi, can you analyze the flow of the plate heat exchanger ?
Please.email us the geometry!

Please can you help me to make good mesh for heat exchanger
Hlo sir can you provide geometry space claim or .igs file of heat exchanger
How i can contact you please
Hello sir, can you give me this cad model please please
thank you brother for the video, the problem is i should do the geometry on space claim, so could do send me the file plz
Can you send the file
Hi
Brother please remove water mark from it. I need screenshots for my be major project.
I have done every thing results are not getting matched because of ansys version.
How I can remove watermark
For removing watermark I have to record it again
I work on the same problem if we can work together please@@AnsysLearningPoint
