To clarify, there are 3 reasons I can think of to still use Antares Artist/Pro versions (from what I can see): 1. Logic’s pitch correction does not have a low latency mode. This means while recording, there is latency when monitoring. Logic’s “low latency mode” 95% of the time turns pitch correction off. 2. I have found the “Flex-Tune” knob on the artist & pro versions of antares incredibly useful; especially when trying to make higher retune speeds sound natural. As far as I can tell, the “tolerance knob” on the new logic pitch correction acts more like the “humanize” knob in Antares. This essentially looks like Autotune EFX with no “low latency” functionality for live tracking. 3. Antares has the signature algorithm and sound that the masses have come to know. Yes, Logic’s pitch correction, waves tune realtime, and slate’s metatune all sound VERY comparable. However for myself, antares just adds something creamy to the tonality of the sound that sounds polished and professional.

@@MajikMuzqI disagree. These additions are great but there's still a few third plugins that are pretty necessary for electronic music production. @baywood Question for you: I followed some of your other videos and manually corrected some vocals with flexpitch and those are fully quantized to the notes but when I run this pitch correction over the top of that (just to confirm) there are still parts that give me the autotune and it sounds awful. I have confirmed the key is the same for both but I am still getting a few notes that just sound like a robot. Other than simply re-tracking the vocal, any tips/suggestions here?
@@Baywood Just the Pitch Correction sounds worse than with the Flex Pitch. Where the FP + PC had some slight robotic sounds, the just PC sounds fine most of the time but has some really awful peaks. The just FP sounds more natural but because I knew the original take had some pitchy areas, so I ran it through pitch correction, just to be safe. I also shopped our the vocal to a producer and he thought it needed slight pitch correction (which made me question the work I did). When he sent it back, it sounded worse than this-like he just ran it through waves without even listening back. I know the FP is in key and hitting the right notes, so maybe I should just trust those and go with it - I like the more natural sound for this track. Thanks for the video and the response.
Easiest thing to do is create a piano track and just play up the keys to find the ones that sound correct in the key. Its pretty easy to hear a key that will sound out of key

@@Baywood its not working for me. I have watch so many videos of this, but i can only hear myself with my other plugins, like reverb and echo and so.. and first when im done with recording, the pitch correction works?

Your entire app looks different and I just checked and mine is up to date. I’m confused
Check on the App Store to see if there is an update. Also you may have advanced controls off in your settings
Good one!!
Thank you!!!!SUPER Logic10.8!!!
How does it sound with out Flex Pitch and just the pitch correction?
I have a 2014 Mac Book and doesn't let me download logic 😭😭😭😭😭😭 and I can't afford a newer Mac 😭
It’s so worth it thooooooo 😭
Easiest thing to do is create a piano track and just play up the keys to find the ones that sound correct in the key. Its pretty easy to hear a key that will sound out of key
Most people probably can’t hear that until their ears develop more
Good way to practice @@Baywood 🤷♂
Some GarageBand IOS tutorials would be interesting to see
Those are some very wholesome lyrics 😂
