Well, you did it in the woods well don. I did have a laugh when you were crowing about your finds, did a dance and all, and no one came to share your Joy lol. Looked like a pleasant day. Insects seemed to have left you alone. Silver was good.
Nice collab and some really sweet finds! LC’s always make for an awesome hunt! Very cool to watch someone dig their first! Awesome Laurie on the older Vicky LC! 👍 Definitely a thinner piece. Sweet Eddie silver dime!👍 Cool 3 Merry widows tin and crazy find at an old church site! Have found a screw top pencils just like that in the water. I wonder what age that would be? ATB and happy hunting!
Thanks Darcy! Everything stopped at this location around 1920, and started 1870’s. That helps date this as late Victorian era. Eric found a similar pencil but resembled a silver bullet given by Queen Mary during WW1, it seemed to be a popular item. I am assuming it was lost during the church time though ☺️.
Thanks Dan! It surprises us every time! We have detected this area for 10 years with many different detectors and detectorist lol.. we are surprised every time stuff pops up.
I just joined your page and very interested in metal detecting. I’m looking at a couple different machines. I live on a Mohawk territory here in Canada, with history here going back to the 1700s.
Hello Skunk works, thanks for stopping in! I would recommend purchasing from a Canadian dealer, we have ordered from Radioworld near Toronto for years now. What machines are you looking at?
Unreal amazing finds all coins on my bucket list ha ha what did that area used to be I'm history don't need specifics but curious about the kind of site it was.
It was an area used as a home site, then a mill was built, then for cottagers, then it closed. It had a range of stuff happening from a trolley, cottaging, picnicking and playing different sports. 😁
Another wicked hunt. Love the large cents. Go Canada! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🍕
Thank you so much ☺️

@@RelicDirtyhands I’m thinking about the Garrett 300i.
@@skunkworks2059 have you considered the Minelab Vanquish? New technology, It uses multi frequencies, it’s deep and fast. ☺️👍

@@RelicDirtyhands what age range was the peak of the activity? 1700s? 1800s ? Or 1900s?
@@thenogoodniks8673 peak I would say 1880’s. Start 1820’s end 1920’s
