- Head Of The Class 1986 Cast Then and Now 2022 How They Changed
Head of the Class is an American sitcom television series that ran from 1986 to 1991 on the ABC television network.
The series follows a group of gifted students in the Individualized Honors Program (IHP) at the fictional Millard Fillmore High School in Manhattan, and their history teacher Charlie Moore (Howard Hesseman). The program was ostensibly a vehicle for Hesseman, best known for his role as radio DJ Dr. Johnny Fever on the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati (1978-1982). Hesseman left Head of the Class in 1990 and was replaced by Scottish comedian Billy Connolly (in his first major American production) as teacher Billy MacGregor for the final season. After the series ended, Connolly appeared in a short-lived spin-off titled Billy.

☞ Thanks for watching
I played Arvid. As noted below, quite a few are left out...but thank you for posting! Great years.
God Bless You Dan. Head Of The Class was a Tuesday night staple in my house when I was in elementary school.
@@jonstefanik9400 thanks
Arvid you're a legend brotha! I've watched Head of the class' pilot about the dance like 5 times just because of how much heart you put in it! Just the way you say "I'M GOING TO THE DANCE!" is iconic af. Thank you for the amazing performances! 😃👍
@@mauricioesma, thanks! The pilot was one of our best episodes - but isn't that always the case?! ;-)
Do you still keep in touch with any of the others? The video future so bright was my favorite
Rest in peace to Howard Hesseman
He was the coolest ever. Used to appreciate his johnny fever confidence and coolness back in the seventies. I was a young teenager..... and it's so cool to watch it as a grownup and see the things I missed with my young mind. :)
So that panel in the video was lying when it said he was still alive and he is actually deceased?
@@jasonpye4649 wow, he didnt pass?
@@Trytocookthis I have no clue, haven't researched it and have barely watched that show as it wasn't my cup of tea when I was about six or seven. But it claimed he was alive in the video we just watched. But if the video did lie in that panel about that actor, then I wouldn't be surprised. Usually I notice a few glaring mistakes like that in these kind of videos.
Janice was missing 😢
Jory Coleman as Jawaharlal Choudhary
Tannis Vallely as Janice Lazarotto
Lara Piper as Viki Amory
De'voreaux White as Aristotle McKenzie
Marcia Christie as Lori Applebaum
Peter Voght as Mr. Dorfman
Those are regular cast or recurring cast on the show that you left off.
Agreed. This channel is severely lacking. Constantly putting up characters who had one appearance and omitting major cast members. Lame
Several glaring mistakes I guess on videos like this no matter the creator.
But yet they included Leah Remini
We are sad to hear that Howard Hessman, who played Charlie Moore, died Saturday night, January 29th after complications from colon surgery. R.I.P CHARLIE MOORE& DR.JOHNNY FEVER (WKRP IN CINCINNATI)!
Thank you, I'm so happy we have his art immortalized on video. Such fun characters!
I Used To Love Watching Head Of The Class Back In The Day
Good to see this but now and forever, Howard Hesseman IS Dr. Johnny Fever, fellow babies!
Used to enjoy watching this .Nice to see this
The turkey episode was so funny
As of 1/30/2022, Howard Hesseman was reported to have passed away. RIP Johnny Fever.
I had a mad crush on Simone when the show ran, and I still do.😍😍😍
Same. She was and still is a fox.
She was my first crush and still is. I'm in awe every time I see Khrystyne.
This was one of my favorite shows back in the 80's
When I was younger watching the show in first-run airings, I often wondered if Rain Pryor was Richard Pryor’s daughter because they looked alike, turns out she was.
A.k.a., a one hit wonder
I was young er then aw. To be young hm
I remember when HOTC was first aired here in the UK. The pre airing and subsequent publicity focused on Billy Connolly because he's from UK. Can't believe it's been over 30 years. OMG! I feel old .
Jennifer Taylor Charlie Sheen By Two half Men
This was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid but your missing one more cast member Tannis Vallely she played Janice Lazzarotto
She was close to my age in 1986…I was 12.
Yeah she was my fave cast member...i actually wrote Tannis a fan letter...disappointed this doesn't mention her
One of the more important characters. A child in the High School honors program.
@@jonstefanik9400 Jon Stefanik that's true she was the child Prodigy character it's sad they'll never have a reunion since Howard Hesseman passed away.
@@BKLYN_TZU That is soooooooooo true ,actually today I researching to see if there was a reunion.
Recently rewatched the show and the episodes can still be relevant now
I still watch head of the class from time to time but I love it so much right now in my life
The cast on this show aged really well
If this channel ever gets the entire cast correct, I will be surprised. You forgot Tannis Vallely, who appeared in 69 episodes, but added Leah Remini as "Unknown" who appeared in one episode!
Rest in peace,Howard...
Thank you ☘️🎩☘️🐷☘️🐞☘️
RIP Howard Hessman aka Dr. Johnny Fever
I remember Micheal Delores from Fame and What's Happening Now! He is a great actor!
Just proves what we all knew: America religiously employs 18 - 23/24 years old actors to play high school students. Then we wonder why they are so sophisticated at that age......
Only thing I remember about this show is Jeannetta Arnette had an incredible pair of legs in those miniskirts she wore.
RIP Howard Hesseman
This was cute show
Looking great, all of them. Thanks for the vid!
C'était génial cette série avec la magnifique Robin givens
BEST OF THE BEST
A person who was on the show got a lot of bad press after she 'married' boxer Mike Tyson:Robin Givens
So glad they are all well great cast greatshos all great looking
Damn, is it me or do just about all of them look better with age?
I did not know that Billy Connolly became Gandalf.
Arnette current photo says a bit of Judith Light vibes.
I challenge you to give me just one good reason why you left so many cast members out.
I used to love this show but stopped watching when Mr. Moore left
You left out the little genius girl
They forgot Tannis Vallelly a glass_eyed girl on hotc what happened to her?
# RIP HOWARD HESSEMAN
All these "gifted" kids were a lil long in the tooth to still be in H.S especially Michael Delorenzo...lol.
Michael DeLozerno was in Michael Jackson's video 'Beat It",then played a cop with Malik Yorba in New York Undercover
He was also in Fame as a teenager in the early 80’s too. Not a teenager then either.
@@Realest636 Michael was born in 1959...woulda been just a tad beyond HS age. Lol
@@m1k3ywestley51 yeah he was 21. That means he was playing a teenager for a very long time.
@@Realest636 Most ppl do in those teen shows/movies. They can work longer hours, etc.
Almost forgot about this show!
Legend has it that in a previous life Mister Moore worked at a DJ and got fired for saying “BOOGER” on the air!
Godspeed Dr. Johnny Fever
I loved this show.
Where's Janice and Jwal?...and I don't recall ever seeing Leah in the entire series.. Brad Pitt?.. Yes...
This show is also from an era when it was okay to look like an everyday person.
And no one had to be gay or trans.
@@kimberlywiederhold627 amen
It was okay to be misfits with a teacher that listened and cared.
Leslie/Marie still looks amazing
She was a guest star in the pilot of Beverly Hills, 90210.
You are the best
One thing that amazes me is that almost none of the cast got into legal problems over the nearly 40 years since the show first aired
None of them did much after the show ended except Brian Robbins who became a mega producer. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
@@harperstacey9604 Dan Schneider created and produced many successful shows for Nickelodeon but his reputation is taking a nosedive now that the treatment of the child actors who worked for him is coming to light. Howard Hesseman, Billy Connolly, and Robin Givens all had prolific careers long after the show ended and Ke Huy Quan is now an Oscar winner so I guess he’s Head of the Class
@@FBB87 thanks for the info.
RIP Howard Hesseman
Getting old blows. 😥👎 rest in peace man you were rad. Hope God is showing you around heaven and it's a happy place. 1❤ dude
RIP HOWARD HESSEMAN whom passed away on 1/29/2022
Howard was 81 years old not 82!
Wow, he looked the same mostly for forty + years!
Did they ever release a dvd box set of this series?
Why did you have to include that creep Dan Schneider among those on the list?
It's ironic that this video just showed up on my feed after reading an announcement that Howard Hesseman has passed away.
not irony...its the algorythm
Dan Frischman looks good!!
Howard Hesseman just recently passed away.
I was sooooo so so in love with Simone
They forgot Janis and Jawaharlal
Brian Robbins is now president of Viacom
He did pretty good for himself. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
#HowardHesseman Dies At 81 Rest In Peace
Oh wait I read that wrong ! Hahahahaaaa
What about the little girl who played the cello? Can't remember her name but remember her
Her name is Tannis Valley and she played Janice Lazarotto on Head of the Class
@@LaraCroftEyes1 thank you...wish she had been included I am sure she's done a lot of growing up since then...😀
What happened to the younger girl with red hair
Khrystyne Haje is still around
@@joshuaguenin9507 not her their was another one with glasses
@@robertwatt7775 you mean Tannis Vallely aka Janice. She’s a casting director now
It's weird that they posted this video before his death isn't it???
I think Leah Remini was in half the sitcoms in the 80's
They need to update this as Charlie moore is dead
I guess Janice was too busy to be included.
I hate the funeral music
She’s dead ? Now? Really?
From what
I’m sorry but these were some old ass fake teenagers if I’d ever seen any 😂😂 Arvid was 27😳😳😳
Plenty of teen dramas have them.
