Oh my God, 1st time hearing this. I have been a David Gilmour fan forever but this absolutely took my breath away. How does he get that Guitar to sound like that?. What emotion and soul he puts in his playing. You can have the shredders and so called virtuosos. I will take this. So very beautiful.

Yes, a genius ... and he leaves nothing to chance. I saw him here in Vienna on two days in a row in Schönbrunn, since I live close by, I also heard that he had done an extensive sound check on both days before... genius AND perfection in work, just. Genius is one thing (he securely has 100%), perfection comes with hard work and skilling your technics - simply David.

Ça fait 50 ans que je vous écoute et la vie n'est pas la même pour beaucoup d'entre nous et je suis heureuse de vous entendre sincèrement et simplement même mes grands enfants le comprennent et j'aime beaucoup la musique et la guitare mais je ne suis pas riche juste et bon c'est juste un plaisir de pouvoir vous entendre j'ai donné à mon ainée mes CD et mes vynils de beaucoup d'artistes que j'apprécie beaucoup depuis longtemps ..

What a memory and a joy it was to see DG and Rick Wright together in Toronto, I will always remember that night.

This is definitely a must have for any Pink Floyd or David Gilmore fan. I watch this concert a least twice a month. I also have the record for this concert. I put this concert on a short list of great venues. I like Mike Olfields Tubular Bells III a lot. Both of these concerts moved my soul.
I'm lucky enough to see Waters one time and Gilmore another and I wish these two damn guys would get back together again bury the hatchet and grow up

even before i knew what the song was about...the guitar solo at the end always gave me a sad feeling of walking away and leaving a loved one behind...than i saw an interview were David told the story of this song and that it was a loving memory about the last time he had with his friend Michael Kamen...On an Island

Many of the best guitarists of all time open their mouths slightly during their solos, as it actually helps them to hear and even feel the music better.
Gilmour so great, and Rick Wright (R.I.P) behind on Keyboard, two monsters from Pink Floyd, simply magic !!
The conductor and those in the Orchestra have probably never performed to such an audience that displayed such passion, elation and gratitude for what they were a part of. They must have left with a sence of relevancy that they'd never experienced on stage before while performing to such a large audiance.
