Won't be surprised if people look back and view OLLO as one of the most consequential films on 2000s. Loved your analysis. One of those movies that I can rewatch even after seeing it more than a dozen times. Remember watching it twice over a weekend in theatre as well.
This is probably one of the best example of how repetition is used in work of art. Really well done. I'm going to have a totally different experience watching this movie again.

I always thought Oye Lucky was way ahead of its time. Though most of my friend didn't agree since they hadn't really seen it. Sure it wasn't a high budget film, but as a work of art it was really up there. I can see how some of the themes here paved the way for movies/tv series in the future, specially the ones we see on OTT these days.
I feel Bollywood is no longer as innovative and has generally become risk averse as it used to be in the era of Oye Lucky.
