We're the Russos you guys should come up north and visit Crater lake here in oregon.
In the Tahoe area, Fallen Leaf Lake...right outside of South shore on the way to Emerald Bay...is great. Also of Highway 50 heading to Sacramento (still in the Sierras), Loon Lake, Icehouse, Gerle Creek. All of these are in the high country and stunning.

I have to say, I have been following many folks on TH-cam trying to learn and dichpher as much knowledge as I can about traveling and living life on the road (once I retire). I went there last summer and was in a state of shock and awe. I knew I was going to be driving through and ended up staying longer than planned. I wished I had planned that trip with a longer layover because it was absolutely beautiful and temperature in August was perfect for hiking.
That will happen when going through Tahoe!

We've camped at that campground in South Lake Tahoe before. Nice place, but we had a neighbor who came and went all night in their BMW and would use the key fob lock which created a loud beep each time and wake us up. Now we go to our time share at the Ridge at Tahoe each year. Always a great experience. Love Lake Tahoe.

I just subscribed to your channel and literally spent most of the day yesterday watching your video's. As a disabled person who can no longer travel around as you are doing, it is wonderful to be able to visit all these places with you. You are an awesome couple and I love Leo, he's so well behaved, does he ever bark? Looking forward to your next video. I live in Oregon and looking forward to seeing where you go while you are here.

Love this video.....I enjoy being there with you guys......I am a grandma and I can't go and do what your doing so I love going on adventures with you......Leo is such a beautiful dog and well behaved.....and your diet is really healthy and really looks good.
I have the same thermostat you can cycle to Celsius by clicking/touching the up and down buttons simultaneously. Also if for some reason it (the a/c) doesn't click on. Pull the face of the thermostat off and put it back on and it'll reset it.

We're the Russos yes, I always forget the slight delays. They were heading there after watching the eclipse so should be there now.
You are making us homesick with this video! We used to visit all the time from where we used to live. Our favorite little restaurant is in South Lake Tahoe - Sprouts Cafe!
Sorry about the homesick part, but so happy you enjoyed it. Sprouts Cafe was on the list to check out but we didn't get to it this trip.

Love your channel and videos. I'm a native Californian and have never seen lake Tahoe. Loved the sound of the little waves especially. I enjoy Kait's cooking. I'm a lousy cook and I'm sure mine would never come out as good as yours looks. Sylvia was cool. Looking forward to Oregon.

I used to broom and vacuum too but found that a little $19 mini but powerful blower on Ebay works better to remove pet hair, dust, sand, food crumbs from all the nooks and crannies that a vacuum and broom cannot get too. It like a small leaf blower. great to clean cushions and bedding too. Just open windows and doors for a few minutes and blow everything outside. Its about the same size as your vacuum.
Have you tried it in a RV? I'm afraid that with all the nooks and crannies that we would get debris everywhere.
Yes. anything loose will shift and blow out so I wait until everything is put in its place. I like it and it cleans much better than Vac. I aim it mainly on the floors and beds with all the windows and door open. Did you see my reply about the dash solar panel followed by the trickle charger to avoid a dead battery?
I love it when Leo gets camera time.

Forget the vacuuming...get a small compact leaf blower. Open the back doors and blow the dust out of the entire cabin. Works great.

We just got back from a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was breathtaking. You should add it to your "one day" list. We didn't camp this trip as we flew out from Memphis.

We are at this campground now. I really like it. My husband works at the local hospital, a whole 5 min drive!

Great campground choice, I stayed there 2 years ago with my dads 5th wheel trailer. Also Raley's is a good grocery store.
We really enjoyed it there.
Yes, Waupaca S'more Fun. We did just stay a week at Grant River Campground on the Mississippi in SW Wisconsin which was very nice, especially if you like trains.
You know me, I love my trains. Will have to check it out when we go through there.

Many years ago we tried to boondock in the forest on the Southwest side of the lake in our Toyota class C motorhome . We just couldn't shake a creepy feeling and ended up leaving late at night and sleeping in a parking lot in town .

Wasn't the lake water cold? I'm from NJ and vacationed in Lake Tahoe during the winter back around 1988. We drove around the whole lake, I think it was about 26 miles. I remember a local saying that the water is too cold to swim in even in the summer. We skied in 5 different resorts around there. My fav area to hang out was Truckee, CA. I always wanted to go back there. Thanks for your videos. I really enjoy watching you, Kait and Leo. Happy, safe travels.

When you go to Emerald bay, you have to climb down the massive stairs and the the stone cottage that was brought from Europe stone by stone. It is now a state park
Great suggestion...we'll have to do that next time we're there.
I think it's called Vikings home it is very interesting and you can get to it by water or the 1000 steps but you can't drive any closer

WOW! $4 for gas right now is a lot. Hopefully you'll find it cheaper soon. Love your van. We were going to get a fifth wheel, but after watching you with your van we think now that we're going to go smaller. Our eyes were bigger than our RV. LOL!

I think we are now leaning towards a Flying Cloud Airstream. We gave ourselves a two year goal, but we think we might be able to do it by the end of 2018. Already starting the decluttering and downsizing. We go Glamping once a month as of now. In a few more weeks we're going to Red Coconut RV Park near Ft. Meyers. On the way back there is a Airstream dealership, so we're excited to look at some trailers. Yay!

I'm a new subscriber who is enjoying your adventures. On the one hand the camper van seems small for two adults. But on the other hand I like the versatility and the fact the van fits in a standard parking space.So it works as both a home and day to day vehicle. I also noticed you two seem to always eat healthy.
