Great Video man, me and my girlfreind love visiting the Dripping Pan for Lewes mens and womans games. The club house is a nice throwback, and sells great local beers, and paistries. Great community around the club too, being owned. Lewes itself is a weird little town, worth visiting as well. If you live Sussex or kent way its well worth a day out, great away day if your local team playes in the Ithsmian premier (or if your clubs womans team plays in Womans championship/). Thanks for highlighting the Rooks!
I am pretty sure that Lewes have played in the Conference National, but for just one season almost twenty years ago. Another interesting fact about the club is that they pay players from their men's and women's team (who play in the Championship, the division below the WSL) the same.
@@historyoffootball87 That's correct. They won prromotion, then the manager all all players bar one left. That might explain why they only won 4 matches (league) in that season!
Great history. Can I make a suggestion? Almost every football fan has heard of Tiverton Town, however not many have heard of their cross town neighbours, Elmore AFC. I used to work for them, and they were doing well back then, playing in the Great Mills Western League. Thier fotunes have dipped a bit since then, but they are an interesting little club that might be worth you having a look at.
The ground (and pitch, Premier League level) underwent renovations as the women’s team are professional. Largest crowd was 2,801 Vs Man United in 2023.
Yes, that crowd was for the ladies team and was on TV! The grass banks are 'protected structures'. The ground can't be developed with anything that obstructs the residents' views of the South Downs (flats.houses on Mountfield Road, mainly). As an aside it's about 5 minute walk from Lewes rail station which has direct links to London, Brighton, Eastbourne.
Eventually. I had to wait three months to re-apply, I deleted all my shorts videos as I knew that were the problem and about two month back I got accepted again.
@@historyoffootball87 ow congrats! I have almost similar channel like you that's getting closer to monetization. If you don't mind, can you tell me what things I better avoid not to labeled as reused content?
@@BeeeHapppy I don't think it would. There is a full list of what TH-cam class as re-used content online but as long as you are not stealing somebody else's content then you should be fine.

It says they won the conference south about 15 years ago but they only lasted one year in the National League

Yes, I remember visiting the Dripping Pan with Oxford United during our four-year spell in the Conference. I'm pretty sure Lewes beat us as well.

When I did the research for the video it didn't mention that but the biggest ever crowd for the mens team was 2500.
🎉🎉
You solved the reused content problem?

@@BeeeHapppy Don't re-upload videos that you posted on Tiktok and put them on TH-cam. That's how I got demonetized.
@@historyoffootball87 okay i rephrase some sport news articles and read and post them on youtube. does that make it reused content?
