Some Infrastructure has also been affected & the beautiful park itself so much has been lost along the Icefields parkway , the surrounding area of Jasper , campgrounds , cabins , homes .. Even the Jasper tramway was engulfed according to the fire maps. Truly heartbreaking 😞

I live in Texas, where we have lots of severe droughts and we are not allowed to water and not once has my brown grass or trees or anything just spontaneously ignited. If that could happen, all of Texas would burn to the ground every summer. It takes an ignition source, like a campfire or thrown out cigarette or a discarded glass bottle or gasoline in a match.
