Your mechanical knowledge and talent for restoration knows no bounds Adrian - I can't wait to see the next instalment - the girls will have a virtually new quad for next to nothing
Have the exact quad at home and am going to tighten it up looking forward to see what’s happening next and what parts you are going to change and use 😁😁
Good job. If you haven't got one already get yourself a needle gun for rust removal they are brilliant. Just time yourself when using them. You don't want white finger . Stay safe 🏴
Good man Adrian,I had a sneaky suspicion that the girls were getting a new toy for all their hard work,it's well earned girls, fair play to ye for helping daddy on the farm. I always wanted a big red, fine machines. 💪
Great video! I had a new Honda 300 4X4 in 1993, they are a great quad. I did a lot of work and had a lot of good times with it. Due to some hard times I had to sell it in 1995, I would love to find another one to restore some day. Used quads are insanely expensive over here in the states lately, if you find one cheap it's usually trashed. Enjoy your project.
I do watch a lot of quad fixing video’s from the states, loads of them do say they get these quads for free or for next to nothing, never could understand that. Second hand quads are expensive here too, and it’s hard to find anything decent. Parts are crazy expensive, i used to get a lot of my parts on eBay but now the delivery cost have triple there too unfortunately
really enjoyed watching all your vids from start right up to the last one you done a bit of everything for everyone so interesting keep up the good work
Never underestimate a farmer. Very interesting and informative video and in years to come the girls will be relating how Dad bought the big red and did it up. Priceless memories.
Neat to see such an old quad and the plastic is still bright colour and not brittle, here in New Zealand we have very harsh sun and quad will be pink in 5 years
I’ve always thought you would be a great man to buy something second hand off as your care for any machine is something else and that’s coming from a man that really minds his stuff too😄👌🏻👍🏼
Great video that’s a great fixer upper the ladies will love it I love your daughter’s reaction when told had to share I know she kidding it show she’s excited if kids help on farm things like this is well deserved and worth it great job
Well done Adrian, very interesting, those steering bearings always a fault because they are in all the shearing might be slightly better if you could grease them, good explanation on the work I've said it before I am sure you are going to be on a TV Farming program explaining a farming life you have the right charisma, any way another good video stay lucky
Well wear ladies but drive it with great care there are a lot of accidents on quads each year🙏 Aidan has a good bit of work to do but no better man for the job 👍
Would love one of those quads myself to pass the time untill the summer!!! The 135 is a bit too big of a job yet, would need help to restore it in one winter! Thanks for another klinker of a video Adrian 👍
Good video on the quads, had a racing banshee., a widow maker Still have a blaster the blaster is great for the mountains light if you get in trouble very easy to maintain. The girls will have a lot of fun.
is there no end to your talents? lol what a great job you are doing on that quad. I do admire farmers for the breadth and depth of knowledge they have of things mechanical.
@@IFarmWeFarm Oh its a must! You don’t cut any corners and there’s something satisfying about seeing you fix something on the farm! I’d subscribe along with all the rest of us :)
I'm hoping your father is doing better 🙏. That's an exciting project for the girls it's great that you're showing them you appreciate what they do for you and your wife. Good man. 👍
Blimey is there anything you can’t do? I love watching how you maintain vehicles. That Quad is almost as good as new, can’t wait to see it once you’re done.
Sadly with Honda as you seen with the tierod ends. All parts come separately, aftermarket ones are roughly the same price but that’s because the come with the nut for it. Great quads had a trx300 1998 from brand new and eventually the rust left a snapped frame, was only worth scrap then. 8 months late but enjoyed the vid Adrian 😂 👌
You get her fixed and she will do your job as good as a brand spanking new one. Im not familiar with this exact engine but if it has a timing chain you may have to manually adjust the tension on it to stop the rattle from the top end, im still using a 1985 Honda 250 ES Big red trike on the farm and I've had to adjust the timing chain twice now to stop the rattle in the 27 years I have owned it
@@IFarmWeFarm correct, worn rings, worn valve guides or valve stem seals, lift the head and the cylinder off and it will soon become clear where the oil is burning from, most Honda quads I have fixed it is the oil control rings have lost their tension that is the main problem, the bore is like new but the rings are scrap, a quick hone of the cylinder with new rings, seals and gaskets has her running like new again.
Hi Adrian and Nicole great Vidio great information on what to look out for when buying a quad my daughter Shelly is mad to get one but I think you need to be very careful when riding them so girls be careful and mind yourselves but enjoy the new toy😀😀👍👍👍
Another great video and great to see you doing so much maintenance yourself. But I have to say I think dad will be using the quad more than the girls 😂
Great video as always. Your channel has always a great variation in content Adrian which keeps it all really interesting. Highlight of my week. Keep it up.
Always blown away by how many things you have the knowledge of and ability to fix from someone who has trouble screwing in a lightbulb!
Your mechanical knowledge and talent for restoration knows no bounds Adrian - I can't wait to see the next instalment - the girls will have a virtually new quad for next to nothing
Mechanics just amaze me at thier ability to figure out where everything goes. Great stuff Adrian I bet the girls will be very happy with it!! :)
We have four of them 300s, super little quads easy on fuel and never give any bother
Great video I've always avoided doing anything more than fluid changes on my quads, an eye opener to see how straightforward other jobs are.
Save a good few quid as well 👌
Came across this channel a few weeks ago, awesome vids makes me homesick :D
The old honda big reds are so good will never let u down
Have the exact quad at home and am going to tighten it up looking forward to see what’s happening next and what parts you are going to change and use 😁😁
Great channel this 👏
Best quad video on youtube superbly presented and very well explained, well done Adrian
Cheers John, trying to explain it as best I can so that others can maybe save a few euro on there own
All your tractors are red and your two hondas great work keep it up.

We think alike! I got one on Friday last 🤣

Nice one Adrian, Next thing you know, the Girls will be looking for a race bike to go to the TT races, keep at her Lad!
That quad is getting a new lease on life. Awesome project to share with your girls.

We need an IFix WeFix channel ;)
I was going to start a new channel this year on building quads, go carts and bikes. Something I enjoy doing. My younger Petrol head hasn’t gone away 🤣

Great video Adrian, please record the other jobs to the quad as it's something I'm thinking of tackling myself
This week we will have the next episode out, it’s a big one. Axle, hubs, bearings, brakes and plenty more
Genuine parts everything is a separate part number great quad pity to see so many old good bike and tractors going for export or breaking great vid
We used to have one of them it was a good yoke but gave up in the field one day but overall a good yoke
How do you put the yok on the front to spread the foam on the quad 🤔
Awsome video Adrian you are a man of many talents can’t wait for part 2 Adrian 👍👍🇬🇧🏴☝️
Good stuff yet again Adrian either have it right or don't have it , hope girls enjoy and safe on it
Jack of all trades...lol

Ya I have to have a look at the tensioner first of all and the valve clearance. But with that smoke she must have either bad rings or valve seals
