Jazaakallaahu khairan for the clarification Shaykh. It is understandable to assume that the majority the laymen among the Twelvers (and other groups holding extreme beliefs) are probably Muslims inshaaAllaah but what about the clergy? It would be good if you could also mention whether their scholars who promote their beliefs also take the same ruling you mentioned or not.
    Baarakallaahu feek.

  • @e.k874

Abuse is Abuse no matter what time period. We should never speak in a harsh tone against anyone let alone harm them physically or there belongings for there believes or if there from a different islamic sect this approach will only straighten there believes and make sunnis look like extremists .. have well mannered respectable televised debates not shouting matches from the mimber

I don't know arabic language can i read Quran in (Transliterated) English?

    • @klaaskay2685
      @klaaskay2685 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Sure, as long as you can utter the words in Arabic (via English transliteration) as close and as correct as it is intended. But in your entire life time, you should at least make an attempt to learn Arabic, no matter how much you're capable of.
However, when you read the translations of Quran, you're NOT actually 'reading' Quran as the words of Allah. You're simply reading the translator's words.

I tell my kids( having same issue) reading in other language they’ll miss the essence of actual words of Allah. It’s a three step approach; read, ponder and try to take guidance for our actions.

Oh Sheikh @30:25 I am very confused about 1 part. You stated once that for muslims in america they should go to american scholars for islamic issues in america. Why then sheikh do you state that it is incorrect for pakistanis in Pakistan to treat heretical groups a certain way? Shouldnt the muslims in pakistan go to local pakistani scholars on how to treat local heretical groups and shouldnt you not give advice on what they should do? Similarly to how you say Saudi scholars shouldnt give advice to muslim americans about americas islamic issues?

    • @Zmokstil
      @Zmokstil 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

There are some concepts that apply to all societies and all times. Drinking alcohol will always be forbidden in Islam. A scholar in America can certainly advise a person in another other country that alcohol is forbidden. The basics of Islam must be followed everywhere, and there is nothing wrong with a scholar from one country to convey these points to the people from any country.
The advice that Sheikh Yasir Qadhi is talking about, is advice given to Muslims that also involve the social aspects of society. For example, a scholar in Saudi Arabia, can not give the best advice on how to approach the concept of voting in America. A scholar in Saudi Arabia will not have as good an understanding of American politics as a scholar living in America.
I've mentioned 2 categories here. There are purely religious issues. And then there are issues that are more social. Some issues we face can be both, religious and social. When the issue is a mix between both, it is best to refer to a scholar who understands both: the religion, as well as the social aspects of the society.
Any scholar in the world can tell you drinking is forbidden. The scholar does not need to understand the social aspects of society to give this fatwa. On the other hand, only a scholar of one's own society can give the best advice on how to approach social issues like voting or eating the meat from local markets.
When it comes to your comment about Pakistanis treating heretics a certain way. You do not need to be a scholar of that society to bring up what the basics points of Islam have to say about treating others. However, if you listened to this lecture fully, you will see that Shiekh Yasir himself said that how these other groups should be treated, should be discussed by the local forward thinking scholars.

    Br Yasir Qadi,
🚩 Who is the imam of our time?
🚩 I understand when you say we cant write a script to bring about the Mahdi, but i also understand we have to do what we can in our time to deal with our tests. Can we get all the scholars together to think of the islamic way of life we want to achieve and how we can achieve it?
🚩 We must at least be able to get together and decide who from amongst us in our time is worthy of being imam of our time?
🚩we know what the rightly guided leader will achieve, is it wrong to make those achievements our goals in our time?

If a person says he/ she is Muslim you believe him till you know him/her.
Then if his beliefs are wrong or deficient , you convey the correct position according to Quran and Sunnah if it's clear evidence and he refuses to accept then he is in كفر on that particular aspect of Islam.
If he is deficient or in denial of some aspect of act or worship of Quran and Sunnah that is clear evidence then he is in كفر of that aspect.
And when does he goes from the bound of Islam is denial of Allah or denial of final Rasool ul Allah or a sin that is grave and described as كفر by Quran.
As سحر, killing innocent till repents, زانى till repents otherwise equal to مشرك . Turning against support of Muslims to يهود نصارى مشرك كافر till repents. Hypocrisy till repents. خمر till gain control of self. ربا till repents otherwise at war with Allah and Rasool ul Allah.
Who decides, the خليفه، اوللامر and judge and court decides after thorough investigation and offering repentance.
The punishment لا إكراه فى دين till a threat to family, society or state or has committed crime against people and society

    Earth was created before heaven!
    The Quran:
2:29: It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Thereafter His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He hath perfect knowledge.
41:9: Say: Is it that ye deny Him Who created the earth in two Days? And do ye join equals with Him? He is the Lord of (all) the Worlds.
41:10: He set on the (earth), mountains standing firm, high above it, and bestowed blessings on the earth, and measure therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in four Days, in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (Sustenance).
41:11: Thereafter He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: “Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly.” They said: “We do come (together), in willing obedience.”
41:12: So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge.
    Science:
The universe was created 13.72 billion years ago, 13,720,000,000 years ago. And our earth was created 4.6 billion, or 4,600,000,000 years ago. That is, the earth was created 9,120,000,000 years after the creation of the universe.
Note: Dr. Zakir Naik opines that “Summa” in the Verse 2:29 means “moreover”, i.e., He wants to says that Allah has created the earth, Moreover, He created heaven. But his argument does not hold water, as 41:11 and 41:12 verses clearly say that the earth was created first then heaven. All Sahabies, Tabeyeen and Tabe-Tabeyeen agreed with this understanding. You can consut Tafseer Ibne Kathir. He says, earth is the foundation of the creation. Then heaven was built over it. In creating heaven (sky), vapour was made from the water. Water vapour is called “Sama” in Arabic; Hence, the sky is named Sama. Imam Bukhari also supports it.

No, you're just not reading it properly lol giving 'order and perfection' to the heavens doesn't mean they were created afterwards, you even included the verse 41:11 where it mentions 'and it had been as smoke', meaning it was created beforehand. Also, notice how in 41:12 it says 'And we adorned the lower heavens with light', not 'then' we adorned it with light. Hopefully that clears things up.

The real problem is the order of creation in the book of Genesis, where it mentions night and day before the sun was created, and plant life on earth prior to the sun which we know is impossible (due to the process of photosynthesis being necessary).
