    With the power 2, I got it because a target employee said i should because i was going to buy an elite and thought its so much cheaper might as well try… it lasted me a little over 2 years. The paddles never worn out and the only thing that did was my left stick having an edge break because of too much use which I thought was crazy. The wire connection soon gave out and I’ve been using the base controller for a couple months. I wanted to get another paddle controller and saw this one on amazon and I can get it same day so I bought it. Will come in a couple hours but thank you so much for the reassurance on this controller!

    I've used every pro controller there is. I have all versions of the PowerA, all versions of the MS Elite, and many others. The back paddles on the PowerA's have never been as bad for me as reviews like this claim. Those paddles are perfect for my bigger hands. No wear and tear. The button's on a new V3 are ok, but they don't fit my hand as well as the v2 paddles. I can see how smaller handed guys might prefer the V3.

      The power fusion 2 is my favorite controller. I choose that over the Elite 2. I’m going to go try the 3rd fusion now to see if it’s better. N I loved the back paddles on the fusion 2. So I’m going to have to see if the back buttons are doable for me.

    Wow, what a turn around by powera! Cant wait for the wired comparisons. I have a victrix gambit and elite 2. And have a fusion pro 2 as a backup, since I hate the paddles. I think the gambit is my favorite. But the paddles are a bit janky. It just doesnt feel good to actuate them compared to the elite 2 paddles. But outside of that, its functionally a better controller than my elite 2. Would love to see how the new fusion pro 3 stacks up against the gambit. Ill be waiting :)

    I love the review a couple of points, the middle actuation for the trigger pull works great for racing games. Since it shortens the throw ,instead of moving the sensor closer, it always you to push 100% but get 75% pressure. Which is enough for maximum braking with triggering ABS or locking up your brakes. So in that regard, it’s very useful

  • @AmyOTrophic-re3eu
    @AmyOTrophic-re3eu ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The one caveat
    To reviews like this is long term longevity. I understand it’s most convenient/effective for content creators to review right out of the box, and maybe play on it for a couple days after to get a feel for the controller, but after reviewing 100 controllers like you said it’s probably not realistic to regularly use every controller for months so def understandable, but after 4 years with a power a fusion pro (1), I never once had issues with the paddles. I even used the paddles from the first iteration on the fusion pro 2, and luckily the paddle modules are compatible between generations! They are more comfortable to me than the fusion pro 2 paddle pack.
    Plus it seems power a adopts a “no questions asked” warranty policy (besides providing original receipt and shipping info) and will send you a brand new game pad for free if you have any issues. So the points on the paddles “wearing out” across my experience with several power a controllers (4) is relatively invalid in my experience.
    However, what was missed was that the joysticks do wear out relatively quickly against the “anti-friction” rings. 3 months and they already look like a log that has been hit with an axe several times. Good thing this is a really cheap part and really easy to swap (likely a design feature to cover up/fix the wear issue) but power a won’t sell me those on their own. Won’t even let me buy them, so had to go the replacement route. 2 year warranty is pretty much an industry best. Overall though you really do get what you pay for and so much more honestly. Idk if this was “a huge improvement” that justifies a whole new iteration of controller but the reduction in complexity by removing the paddles is a nice feature, as is the price reduction.
    Overall a super good review! Really in depth and super happy to see someone who is applying almost 0 bias, and all numbers to their videos such as the input lag, the dead zones etc and testing them through science and really putting the work in to put the knowledge in our hands. Super shocked about the weights! Excited to see if this one lives up to the hype 🤞

    Best wired controller with back buttons imo. The only slight issue is that the back button placement is slightly off from where your fingers rest. But I solved this issue by resting my left middle finger on the top left button and my right middle on the bottom right. For some reason it feels completely natural that way. Probably because the right and left side gets held slightly differently because of the Xbox thumbstick placement

    For me, this controller is a solid 8/10. I used the older Fusion Pro for years and loved it. But those paddles in the back were so bad. This new version fixed this problem with 4 real buttons, just as you put it. The only reason I don't give it a 10 is because it doesn't feature Hall Effect joysticks. I guess, it's something for them to include in the next version.

      Don’t need Hall effect when they’re as accurate as they are!
      That being said AVOID the cheap powerA (enhanced, advantage). Their sticks are the absolute worst! I had 1/4 joystick drift out the box. I looked in the app, never consistent. Also, the sticks themselves (what the joysticks connect to) are toothpick thin aluminum that you can feel grinding against the internal restrict or cage.

    • @anferFFmax
      @anferFFmax 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gun4funofficial937 Accuracy is not the reason you want HE sensors. You want them for less chance of stick drift. I have had my fair share of that problem over the years. HE minimizes that.

    Alright so I didn’t expect to find such a lively comment section around this controller. I just received my v3 yesterday from Amazon and got to get in a good gaming session. I an coming off a fusion pro v1 that has served me very well for the past 3 years. I loved my v1 but it really was starting to show its age. Still completely functional though. First impressions of the v3 it’s super light compared to v1. I personally liked the heavier weight of v1 but it’s whatever, something I can get used to. I really like the new paddle buttons. I only use right and left paddle so I just assign both sides to the same button works out great. I think the buttons analog sticks triggers all seem of same quality to the v1. I am getting used to the new feel of it and beginning to really like the v3. If it last as long as my v1 did then this is the best pro controller on the market.

They sent me a warranty replacement the first time the paddles broke. Buttons, when you only use 1 left rear one, such as a paddle design, Elite 2 Xbox version, which I only use the left large rear one for COD jumping, is the best design. Buttons, sunken, hard to pull, maybe your hand ergo is not exactly like they design etc...makes the buttons useless for many. Being able to remove paddles, and only have 1, don't know many controllers, in fact 1, that you can do that with, except one other which is descent. My two cents. I own the power a fusion pro 2 and 2 lots of the turtle beach recon one all black the other white and purple, I can not Express just how stressful those back paddles can be, either through the controller not recognising you've depressed one of the paddles and so your input is just never registered and lost in the matrix.
    The weight of the controller was also an issue with the centre of gravity being much further down in the hand it's much more stable but you can notice your hands start to ache as they're getting used to the new ergonomics.
    The Turtle Beach Recon was amazing, half the price, still wired, half of the amount of inputs on the back side but those inputs worked flawlessly it also has the diamond finish on the back buttons like the new fusion 3. I love this aftermarket controller ecosystem playstation had a dodgy Amazon modded controller back in 2009 and since then I've always wondered how far these things go!
    I've already purchased my fusion, it says on the amazon ad "impulse triggers" which to me makes me think like they've made an option to have the triggers act more like a button but with the small price increase I doubt that they have the technology must be some sort of false advertising but just having a 4 button option for under £100 has made this decision a no brainer and since I've had more consistency with buttons, this pad might beat out the elite for me!

      @@spikethespacecowboy Yeah I found this out a couple of weeks later, it's nice I didn't notice it was missing from the v2 but as soon as I booted up a racing game it became very clear to me when the car was about to drift and slide, it's not something I really noticed consciously but it did improve the experience by MORE than I realised, the v3 does actuate the triggers with less of a pull, semi auto rate of fire is quicker than v2 but it's not gonna be 2x as fast but using the first trigger stop allows you to bounce through the cycle quicker than standard, you dont feel overpowered but you do feel enhanced in an fps, jump sliding while continuously aiming can make you 100x harder to deal with if you're in lobbies where people arent expecting you to bunny hop past them lasering them in the face. Would recommend in any competitive online game you get the most boost would not recomend drifting the sticks over a single player game tho

    I found my son a Sony PS4 paddle attachment on Ebay for a whopping $16 shipped! So we both are now sliding and bunny hopping gleefully like the dweebs we are!

    There is a good reason to have 3 settings for the trigger stops. I play a lot of shooters and some of them will not register the shortest setting and that would be a game problem not a controller problem. So if you have a controller that has only 2 trigger settings and you play a game with this issue you are only going to be able to use the long press which would make the trigger stop useless for those games. The mid stop on this controller lets you get the next best setting for shooters that won’t register the shortest setting thus making the trigger stop feature not absolutlely useless for those games.

      I absolutely get what you're saying, and I like 3 ways where the middle stop cuts out about %50, but as you saw in the video, it feels/looks like step 2 cuts out like %5. The elite 2, Gambit and other controllers that have a half way stop are great but with this Fusion it feels like PowerA just wanted to say they have 3 way trigger stops, but step 2 is so short its basically off.

    My Fusion Pro 3 has as a deadzone in the right stick that is extremely annoying. I tested it in steam and windows. (To clarify, even with my in-game deadzones all set to 0 there is still a deadzone...)
    I emailed powerA and they wanted me to return the controller so they can examine it. They also said they are planning to release firmware for it sometime late this month so I could also wait for that to see if that fixes my problem.
    I'd love to hear from others who have tried the v3. Do you experience this problem? Normally, if I set my in-game deadzones too low my controller will drift. I've never owned a controller that had a deadzone even with no in-game deadzone added. Please respond because if this an isolated experience I might buy another one to try in the mean time.
    Also, great videos Gamer Heaven.

    • @bahgoesthesheep
      @bahgoesthesheep ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I had a feeling this rolla had a built in deadzone. Similar to the victrix gambit. It's kind of a gimmick to make you believe that your controller doesn't have stick drift but having that tiny built in deadzone you can't do microadjusts. I've also noticed that moving the sticks to about 90% max input it registers 100% input which makes your aiming much more sensitive. Wish they'd make software like the gambit so you can recalibrate the controller cause I'd use it over my gambit if they did. But for me it's unplayable with how the sticks play. :(

      Bro what I’ve owned many power A and just as stated in this video power A controllers come with a very small and responsive dead zone out of the box, and he’s not the only reviewer who has said this. I play games at a really high competitive level and also play for money and these sticks are responsive as hell I’ve owned almost all Xbox pro controllers too, idk how much smaller you want your dead zone at -5 ? 😂😂😂 won’t even have consistent aim at that point

    • @Mtwizzy0204
      @Mtwizzy0204 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @bahgoesthesheep
      @bahgoesthesheep ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mtwizzy0204 yeah I play linear on apex with no deadzone. Problem is the gambit feels the best in terms of responsiveness but I feel like the sticks are super inaccurate. Ive owned over half a dozen powera controllers, mostly fusion pros 1 and 2. Those ones did not have the problem Im describing here. I have tried 2 fusion pro 3s and both of them have a VERY large deadzone. I could record a video of me wiggling the stick back and forth and it not registering at all. I got the controller yesterday and while i like it. It has the same issue the gambit has and that is the built in deadzone. Its very minor but doing micro adjustments on linear sens (apex) is just a little clunky. I was really hoping it did not have the built in deadzone but i guess the majority of casuals wont even notice it and they will be over the moon thinking the controller is amazing cause of the no stick drift. Which is because of the small built in deadzone.

    • @spikethespacecowboy
      @spikethespacecowboy ปีที่แล้ว

      The V1 and V2 didn't have built in deadzones, why would this one? The deadzones on the V1 and V2 were the reason I fell in love with their controllers. I can set my deadzones to zero on the games that allow it and don't get any drift, that isn't the case with most other controllers, even the Elite 1 and 2 had drift if I lowered the deadzones too low in game.

    • @bahgoesthesheep
      @bahgoesthesheep ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@spikethespacecowboy ok, but it does have built in deadzone and that's why you don't get stick drift. And micro adjustments are very choppy. They probably did it to improve longevity because if you visibly can't see stick drift then the average consumer will believe their controller is still very good.
