My best friend passed away 3 days ago. This was his favorite song, and eventually became both of ours. We would jam to this on our random midnight car rides. We made a promise to each other that if we're single by the time we're 30, we would get married to each other. Ultimately, I actually thought it was going to happen. If you have something on your mind that you want to say to someone, do it. Make the most out of this beautiful life.
I’m so sorry for your loss, I have a connection to this song too, My tio showed this song to me a couple of years ago, i think i was going to the 7th grade, We both really liked it, on road trips he would play it bc he knew i liked it, I’m going to the 10th grade and Now he’s an addict, started with pills long ago, nows he on moved on to ice, Just got out of rehab, he was clean, i was proud of him, my dad just told me he’s back on the pills, again i’m sorry for you loss, i just wanted to share bc this song brings back memories, like how yours does for you, hopefully my tio makes it out and gets clean, but hopefully i don’t listen to this song in the future after something happens and he passed, Hold On my friend, it’s all going to be okay, Everything will be okay and you are going to be okay, i hope my tio will, i hope i don’t follow in his footsteps, i’ll try not to, Stay Safe Buddy

Word homie. Was fresh 18 years old in 2012...the year my life started to take a terrible turn starting with my grandpa dieing. Then me moving from snorting oxys to smoking H, to shooting dope in about 6 months. I really enjoyed those beginning years of my addiction if I can say there ever was a favorite time in my addiction. Never thought I'd make it too 27...but just turned 29 on Dec 10th. I also never thought I would get off shooting heroin & cocaine...I caught two 1st degree Attempted murder charges in May of 2021 and man has my life changed. Really lucky not to be in prison for the rest of my life, so I thank God I'm able to be on TH-cam out in the free world. Oh yeah and to those who are addicted to needles or are getting into em, my advice would be not too do it at all, but I know that's not always realistic so second best advice would be two words: VEIN CARE! You'll thank me in about 5 years.
Reminds me of my early 20s and all the fun things I did pre-covid, late nights at strangers houses, weekend benders, driving home at noon on a Sunday, toxic ass relationships. I shouldn't miss it but I do 2012-2018 was really something else
Yeah I'm with you friend. Age catching up to me... those were the days. My memories are only of the good times and for that I'm grateful. Great adventures and friends.. to the young folks here .. teens to 20s. Enjoy it while you can.

This song makes me happy, it connects me to a time when my friend was still around. She passed recently from a bad pill containing fentanyl. It came on on my playlist, my dog started howling, hes never done that and it made me feel like she was here talking back to me
I am so very sorry about your friend. I personally feel that animals see and know things at a different level. I like to think that was a sign your friend was there to jam
I didn't know this song existed until a group I picked up driving for Uber said they'd tip me extra if I played it all the way to the bars. Thank you Cherub for making me money.
This song is how I metaphorically pour one out for the homies that are no longer here. Addiction takes so much, and in the end it's a pitiful cycle of getting high to feel somewhat normal, and crashing. Miss you guys. Hope I see you again, as you were, before life broke you. I'll shoulder this burden, homies. No problem. You're not too heavy. I got you.
my father died 7 months ago, and this is pne of the songs that reminds me of him. he listened to this song all the time. i learned from this song somehow that life can be hard, but its always better to have a positive attitude and to try keep living. also, thank you to the artist of this song for making this song. it always seemed to cheer my father up when he needed it. anyways, to anyone thats reading this, have an amazing day! 💕💕
I will, simply because you said so, head up homie, by the sounds of it your father was an amazing man, my dad passed away before I was born so it's hard for me to feel for a stranger, but I hope you know you were by far his very best friend, anytime you're down think of what he'd say or do, you are never ever alone. better & brighter days ahead my dude: I promise you
My father died when I was 17. Probably the best man there ever was. And I'm not only saying that because he was my father. A man with a 3rd grade education who turned himself into a self made millionaire. Left all of his possessions to my stepmom. And then 6 months later I was kicked out. Lost my college funding/ car/ everything. Being only 17 at the time I took it like any other kid would take something horrible. Turned to Brews and drugs. Started making to much money. (You can guess how.) Fell deeper into drugs. Got caught up. Lost all my money. Spent some time. Now I am making 20k a year. And about to use what my father taught me and turn myself into a millionaire over 2 years. Point being. Dont get stuck on the loss of your father. Dont get upset and pass up your opportunities. Live life how you would be happy but will also honor your father. Take all his life lessons and run with them. Sorry for your loss. And I can promise you everything will be okay.
I was 21 when this song came out but I had no idea it existed until a few months ago (I’m 30 now) so it simultaneously feels like a fresh new song to me while also bringing me right back to this era of my life. Very strange but beautiful feeling.
I’m 30 too and was doing lots of coke back then. It’s a vibe but it made me so depressed on shrooms man. It took me years to come back Especially the little shot of CL espadrilles like this is what we actually care about? 😅
In case you had the doubt: This video is seen on average 300 times every hour, that is, 7,200 times per day. Which means that the moment you are seeing it, it is very likely that several people are seeing it as well. This comment is in response to those who at any time ask if someone is seeing it in this or that month. Regards.
Damn time flies when you're having fun! Was A heavy ass drinker when this came out. Going be 5 years sober on New Years. So to all the people who are partying hard, party on ya!!!
I was in HS when this song dropped. I remember sending it to my best friend. On our walk home from school we listened to it and it's one of my favorite memories with him. He passed away in 2021.
S/O to everyone who still makes this there summer song! It's been out for like 4 years, or I think?! Haha, song is warm, happy, electric, amazing! Have fun guys!
Man, being in your early twenties at this time, sure was a good fucking time. There was still a sense of overwhelming optimism about the future. So fun.
@@alexisosborn3954 please do. You only get it once. I know everyone always says that crap. It’s cliche so ya kinda brush it off, but once you get into your twenties a little, time begins to fly like you wouldn’t believe, and things rapidly change. It’s one of those things you can only find out for yourself. So enjoy it, cause it will rush by and suddenly you’ll be a lame thirty something year old looking back lol wishing for one more night like this-all your friends in one place, no true responsibilities, just swinging around with reckless abandon, before everyone begins to split off and go their separate ways; you’ll still hold on to those who were closest (most likely), which is all you really need, but having a huge squad that comes together 4 nights out of the week and does everything together can’t be beat. Feeling the passion and fervor that only the young can feel. Obviously people still go out in their thirties and older, but it’s just not the same. Once you’ve done it for a decade plus, it doesn’t hit the same. You find out the truth behind Mellencamp’s line, “Oh yeah, life goes on, long after the thrill of living is gone.” Lolz.
This best top rated song by far the way I feel right now. This song takes me back to like middle school drinking with the highschool kids having play a football game the next day after partying playing some pong miss y'all El dog
This song was such a tune. An ex friend of mine and I used to rock out to it all the time. This was our anthem. We played it on repeat for days. But life happened and we fell out. Now 7 years later I'm listening to this and terribly missing those old times. Major nostalgic moment 😢

I’ve been dealing with my depression since I was 7 years old, I’m 32 now and I’m glad I got to hear this song while I’m still here, I play at least a good 10 times in the morning before I start my day, music saves me 🙏🏼
Through the years my music tastes have changed so much... but I always gravitate to this song. No matter what "music mood" I'm in, I'm always down for this song. It has such a unique sound and it's so catchy, melodic, peaceful.
Dan Franz everytime I've seen them they have played it. Once was the encore and the others it was the last of the set list. If they do a two day show spring on the extra and go for both, its always worth it. They don't do JUST the singles/hits so you gotta go to both to hear the popular ones
Totally agree, saw them two years ago at a festival just after this song came out. They were one of the early afternoon acts and it was one of the best sets of the day, people were going nuts

This song makes me happy, it connects me to a time when my friend was still around. She passed recently from a bad pill containing fentanyl. It came on on my playlist, my dog started howling, hes never done that and it made me feel like she was here talking back to me
I have no doubt she was there with you!!!!
I am so very sorry about your friend. I personally feel that animals see and know things at a different level. I like to think that was a sign your friend was there to jam
did she like 2 dance?>
Still listening to this while being quarantined

Don't worry bro, we'll be outside partying again soon enough!

I didn't know this song existed until a group I picked up driving for Uber said they'd tip me extra if I played it all the way to the bars.
Thank you Cherub for making me money.

Much love guys
When was an active addict I would cry in the shower everyday and then dry off and present myself to the world as if I was perfectly fine.
Still a banger
This song is how I metaphorically pour one out for the homies that are no longer here.
Addiction takes so much, and in the end it's a pitiful cycle of getting high to feel somewhat normal, and crashing.
Miss you guys. Hope I see you again, as you were, before life broke you. I'll shoulder this burden, homies. No problem. You're not too heavy. I got you.
Felt this one brotha , 🙏
Wow!!
That comment made me cry in the car..... so fucking true!!!!
Beautifully written, I hope your friends rest easy and keep your head held up.
@@Ahpkallu thank you, friend. I try to keep it high, in their memory.
It's hard. But I know the most difficult things are their own reward.
my father died 7 months ago, and this is pne of the songs that reminds me of him. he listened to this song all the time. i learned from this song somehow that life can be hard, but its always better to have a positive attitude and to try keep living. also, thank you to the artist of this song for making this song. it always seemed to cheer my father up when he needed it. anyways, to anyone thats reading this, have an amazing day! 💕💕
I will, simply because you said so, head up homie, by the sounds of it your father was an amazing man, my dad passed away before I was born so it's hard for me to feel for a stranger, but I hope you know you were by far his very best friend, anytime you're down think of what he'd say or do, you are never ever alone. better & brighter days ahead my dude: I promise you
You dad sounds like he was quite the cool dude. May he RIP.
Blessings to you all
How old was your dad?????
This song is amazing when you’re rolling, the emotions are incomprehensible
This will always be a banger!! Can’t believe It’s already been 8 years.

I was 21 when this song came out but I had no idea it existed until a few months ago (I’m 30 now) so it simultaneously feels like a fresh new song to me while also bringing me right back to this era of my life. Very strange but beautiful feeling.
God is good all the time
same here!
I’m 30 too and was doing lots of coke back then. It’s a vibe but it made me so depressed on shrooms man. It took me years to come back

In case you had the doubt: This video is seen on average 300 times every hour, that is, 7,200 times per day. Which means that the moment you are seeing it, it is very likely that several people are seeing it as well. This comment is in response to those who at any time ask if someone is seeing it in this or that month. Regards.

2024 We still here!
Reading the comments I come to find out this song is 10yo..I’m 51 and think I just found a new fav song!!!!!
Song is legendary!
Man, being in your early twenties at this time, sure was a good fucking time. There was still a sense of overwhelming optimism about the future. So fun.
Me in my 20s rn thanks for reminding me to enjoy it, peace and love to ya xx
I was 18 😭😭
@@alexisosborn3954 please do.
I was so jealous I couldn't go out and drink to this song 😭
I was at a party, and someone recommended this song. I'm just saying, this is the best party song ever.

Hang in there

I’m sorry about your friend; songs that remind you of lost loved ones are such a gift even when it feels bittersweet
So sorry bro. At least you have this song to remind you of him maybe he’ll even visit you while this song plays ❤️
Here 2 years later and I'm so sorry ..
I’ve been dealing with my depression since I was 7 years old, I’m 32 now and I’m glad I got to hear this song while I’m still here, I play at least a good 10 times in the morning before I start my day, music saves me 🙏🏼

Just a beautiful track.
The vocals, melody and overall groove.
Through the years my music tastes have changed so much... but I always gravitate to this song. No matter what "music mood" I'm in, I'm always down for this song. It has such a unique sound and it's so catchy, melodic, peaceful.

if you get a chance see them live, its a fucking experience, they'll end the show on this and do a killer encore
will they still end on this song if they don't do this album? Im seeing them perform on their Bleed Gold tour but i love this song lol
They will be performing at Summer set on August 13th! So stoked to see them!
Dan Franz everytime I've seen them they have played it. Once was the encore and the others it was the last of the set list. If they do a two day show spring on the extra and go for both, its always worth it. They don't do JUST the singles/hits so you gotta go to both to hear the popular ones
I saw these guys play live and it was amazing!! Summerset 2016
Totally agree, saw them two years ago at a festival just after this song came out. They were one of the early afternoon acts and it was one of the best sets of the day, people were going nuts
I fucking love this song so much, it’s incredible, great lyrics and enjoyable every time, truly a timeless classic
