I’m gonna add risky questions to my arsenal and I think that being open minded and knowing that everyone has their own universe and that conversation is them inviting you into it really help me understand people and conversation better

So cool to hear. Let me know if you end up doing that in a conversation. 👊🏻
One thing that’s been helpful for me is thinking of these things in terms of Comfort Zone, Growth Zone, and Danger Zone. If I’m going to push boundaries I made sure it’s in my growth zone, not the danger zone. We need to be mindful when we take social risks that we are growing but not doing any harm. It’s a fine line but one worth paying attention to.

I consider myself to be more on the introverted side of the spectrum and yet in tend to have very great and easy flowing conversations, cause I ask a lot of questions. But towards the end of a conversation there is not many connections, that I feel like were truly valuable. So I end up having grreat conversations with many, but struggle to really connect to some.

Interesting. I think empathy and curiosity can be great strengths of introverts.
Are you saying that because you are more contemplative and curious you can have good conversations, but sometimes it is still hard to connect with people even though the conversation is flowing?
      Trying to understand :)

So we should ask why, dig deeper with personal questions, point out commonalities, show vulnerability at times, and make the first move

Exactly, this is what I have found helpful.
Also, I would deliberately practice these things. By setting an intention to do it before a conversation you are more likely to remember (otherwise we might just forget). These are skills we need to build with practice until they become a habit.
