I'm looking at this and the electric one, but am wondering how it will do with much smaller stuff like jalapeños, string beans, okra, etc.

@antonboldsword3770 this has a spring loaded hopper that is designed to push larger items like apples oranges onions bell peppers tomatoes. Small items will not work at all.
