This has to be the most underrated Chanel I know of, it is owned by a company, but they don't self- promote a lot, they are just the best leather crafting channel I know of. Keep up the good work, weaver!
Love ya Chuck, thank you! I enjoy these video's. Love the energy and how the material is presented. It feels like anybody can do it. I even have my childern in the shop making small projects.
great video. i am so glad you showed how to make it without a sewing machine. you make it look easy. not to mention it is a beautiful purse that would be easy to sell. thank you
Nice simple project that exercises quite a few tasks. It would be nice if the pattern was a free pdf download though. Chuck makes everything so easy, and is when you get enough experience and confidence. For people very new to leather crafting, this will tax your patients a good deal. Get enough supplies to make 3 or 4 and each one gets easier and has a better outcome than the previous one.
Thanks! This was really helpful as I am looking to make a purse eventually. I do have a question though, do you have any videos showing how to add pockets? or perhaps add a divider inside down the middle? Thanks in advance!
Hi there, We have a video on a tote bag with an inner and outer pocket. We'll link it here for you. www.weaverleathersupply.com/catalog/cp_/shop-by-project/bags/leather-tote-bag
Ok .. so .. being VERY new to leathercrafting and having ZERO experience with chrome tan .. I noticed you didn't slick any of the edges ... is that a veg tan only step? As always, very informative. I always learn something watching Chuck .. keep it up
Hi Andy, Tokonole will work to slick some chrome tan edges but if not, like @Unmutual said, you can roll the edges. You can also use edge paint or leave the edge raw like Chuck did in the video for a more rustic look.
Hi, sorry my bad English but I'm Italian and I use google translator; I would have liked to see the technique when you glue the two main pieces of the bag.Thank you.
Chuck, getting ready to cut leather to make this purse but ran into a problem. The strap attachment holes are 1/4 inch longer than the holes in the bag. Is this due to the straps having to go around the bend or an error in the pattern? Thanks.
Chuck, does Weaver Leather have digitized patterns for this hand bag? Even better, do they have a kit for it? I want to get it now, so how do I proceed? Who do I speak to at Weaver? Do I ask for the Clutch Bag kit? Please advise. Richard Katzman Info on file with Weaver

Nice!!
I may have said it before, but Weaver needs to do a T-shirt that says "First Tine Last Hole!" ;)
I second that. LOL
Or ‘That looks like it was die cut!’
I'm surprised they didn't end up in the stickers they put out.
I'd buy one

Always smooth easy learning, Gracias Chuck
Great design and execution Chuck, thanks.
Glad you like it, thank you!
Dang, I'd put the Crazy Horse on the outside, and use the deertan cowhide for a liner!
Awesome and informative video! There are a couple of embellishments I'd probably add, but that's all flavor. Thanks for the guidance!
Thanks for watching!

Thank you 👍👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹
Awesome video. Our leather stitching video is uploading now with some of the leather we got from you guys. Great quality.

When you glue a lining on veg , do you burnish the veg tan edges before adding a suede liner or after glue up?

I couldn't find it if anyone else asked this question, But what is the groover set to? 1/8 or 1/4 of an inch. I don't think Chuck said. Thank you!
Hello, thank you for your comment. Chuck sets his groover to 1/8" for most of his projects.

Yet another great video. But, where do you get your clips?
Hi Chris,
We're not sure on these exact ones, but, you should be able to get them at a hardware store or even the dollar store.

Why can't you use a strap cutter on chrome?
It doesn’t have the stiffness to resist the cutter to keep it lined up like a veg.
