    Love it when people feature obscure books that are good....booktube is over saturated with crap that everyone else is reading and makes for boring vids...So props to you for shaking shit up.

      +Geek Pron Vlogs Thank you. I want to get far more obscure next year.

      @BookNookNoggin 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      RGsDevilship Variety is the spice of life they say. I was sadly dissapointed that the booktube community didn't know about all of the great scifi comics that came out last year as they are only voting for Saga, and one other one??? Like really I have showcased I don't know how many but no one watches my channel because I'm not the average booktuber.

    • @BookNookNoggin

      +Fdsa Desa okay so poor word choice but they are not popular per say.

      +Fdsa Desa The way I took Dan's comment originally was to mean that they are obscure for Booktube. Not obscure in general, most of them are best sellers.

    "I didn't help when I read this book, a bird flew into my room and gave me a bloody heart attack" LOL that was the devil's messenger.

      And have you noticed the theme from The Exorcist (Tubular Bells) always gets played on the radio late at night, when you are in the house all alone?

    From Hell is a monster of a book. I also got it from a library.
    A spooky recommendation is The Island of Dr Moreau by H. G. Wells, I really enjoyed the creepy, eerie atmosphere of the book.

    oooooooooo spoooooky lighting! I really like Carrie and it is a good start as its short and Stephen King doesn't normally do short. The Exorcist is filled with tension and that little girl says some very shocking things! Frankenstein is my favourite book but tbh it is really depressing. Great video x

    • @RGsDevilship
      @RGsDevilship  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Hannah booksandbeauty Yeah the lighting worked out like that, I was really just procrastinating and lost the daylight. I think Carrie is King's shortest book, not including short stories. Thanks! :D

    Great recommendations. I really like how you separated books into sections. The last book that I read was actually Interview With the Vamire, and I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. I just bought Arkham Asylum. I was deciding between From Hell and Arkham Asylum, but in the end I bought Arkham Asylum because of Dave McKean. I really love his work. If you like him maybe you should check out From Signal to Noise by Dave McKean and Neil Gaiman. :)

    I'll defiantly have to check out From Hell. It's looks fucking amazing. Really fascinated with Jack the Ripper and serial killers in general. Do you ever read any true crime? If you want a really good true crime book, check out The Killer Book of Serial Killers. It has loads of info on a ton of different serial killers. Perfect for halloween :)

      +Hugh Jass True crime is a genre I'm going to start to branch out in. I'll check that book out and see if my library have it. Thanks for the recommendation.

    I read 172 hours on the moon which freaked me out and scarred me for life. It is YA but the prose and world building is done pretty well and is psychologically disturbing! Thanks for the non-scary recs, I am rather sqeamish!

    Oooh love your edition of The Crow! I just have the regular one with the black cover. And I have to read Ringu (is that the name?) because I love both the original and remake films 😊 Pet Sematary was pretty gross but the film freaked me out more! *shudders*

    • @RGsDevilship
      @RGsDevilship  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +chboskyy Ha, I actually wanted the black cover at the time. Yeah Ringu in Japanese. The books are far more interesting than the films.

    Haha, Carries mother is scary, indeed. Great selection, I've read some but definitely need to pick up The Exorsist (?), i really enjoyed the film. Have you read Let the right on in? It's a swedish vampire horror novel. His novel Harbour is also amazing, and freaky.

    • @RGsDevilship
      @RGsDevilship  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Bookupied Yes I have read Let the Right One In and I definitely want to read Harbour. A good few people have recommended it to me.

    I will definitely be trying out Rosemary's Baby, season 1 of AHS is my favorite. From Hell sounds right up my alley too. I'm reading The Shining right now and whenever I'm not reading it, I'm thinking about it and I don't use our second bathroom because of the fucking shower curtain and bathtub. I'd piss out in the backyard if I had to use that one LOL

    • @RGsDevilship
      @RGsDevilship  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +RichardDenney Yes! I saw the movie when I was little and when that bathroom scene happened I got up and was like "Fuck this, fuck you, I'm outta here!" I didn't go to hotels for a good while after that. 😱

    I bought The Exorcist on cassette at a Library sale. I've been to chicken to listen to it yet. the movie doesn't bother me but I think my mind is scarier than the movie that's why I put off listening to the cassette. have you read son of rosemary? have a happy Halloween.

    • @RGsDevilship
      @RGsDevilship  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +A Ferret's Novel Tale I guess it depends, whether it is scary or not, on who's narrating it. And if they do a demonic Regan voice. I haven't read Son of Rosemary. I hear it's disappointing. Happy Halloween to you too.
