    Dear Alex. This was 26 minutes in food-docu-heaven. What you did just produced huge TV-companies cannot. You showed a lot of heart and soul of the many owners. I am so inspired right now.
    I would love to see a lot more episodes like this. And this video could easily have been a three episode series.
    Keep up the good work. I love it!

      +Emil Smith Nielsen Thanks a lot Emil. TH-cam has more freedom than TV in terms of formats, but at the same time, the monetization game is more mature over on tv.

      @astroigel8425 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, yes, yes, thats about it! In Germany for example you are forced to pay 16€ per Month to finance governments Tv wether you have a TV or not; otherwise they can jail you in the end ( btw. some people right now are sitting in jail because of not paying the bill).
      And yet slowly they are beginning to buy some TH-camrs because they realize that this old system isnt working anymore and especially younger viewers are shifting to Internet formats ... like yours. So maybe just send a tape ;) Same story with Casey Neistat and CNN btw.

    I enjoyed this one SO much! The effort you're putting in this and the style as well as quality is better than most TV-shows! You should really sell this as a pilot!

      ThatOneChannel if everybody always would follow the way that worked, there would never be new successes.
      If you want to sell a show you can...

    • @RougeEminence
      @RougeEminence 7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      "thats not how it works" that is actually exactly how it works, when a pilot script is made, or a pilot is filmed, writers will have to book time with different producers who will order a number of episodes if they like it. Its a similar process to getting a book published. Anyone can write a script, film a pilot or write a book if they just put the work in.
      Dont be a pessimistic and ignorant asshole about it.

    • @ruben9912
      @ruben9912 7 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      He could totally sell it and I agree it would be nice to have Alex as a TV host but a TV show would never have the raw handheld feel and personality of a food vlog which is exactly what draws many of us to him, and away from TV shows.

    I’m disabled due to chronic pain from an undiagnosed abdominal disorder and get out of the house for maybe a half hour a week and videos like this mean a lot to me. I will never see Dublin with my own eyes nor taste what it has to offer but this video has made coming to terms with that much easier. Bless you Alex, your endeavor is noble more than you will ever know.

    I spent a month walking the western coast of Ireland and stayed in a small town in a rental summer house that looked right out over the cliffs into the Atlantic like this. It was truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been and the people I met and the food I ate only made it better.

      @Conn Benn honestly Northern Ireland is a very safe place now its nothing like it used to be. Thankfully since the "Good friday agreement" Northern Irish people have duel citizenship so if I ever want to go to Europe or move there I can just use my Irish passport rather than my British. Americans seem to love NI especially congressmen since its one of the few foreign policys that worked out really well for them. Americans in congress care a lot about Northern Ireland just today an article came out saying they won't have any further trade talks with the UK if they continue down the path of a hard border since it goes against the Good Friday Agreement

    You could have easily made 3 episodes as a mini series. I have to go to work now but I will watch the rest when I am back. Keep it up. Good job.

    In the intro alone I suddenly realised how much you wear strips. It's amazing!

    I've been watching you for a few years. I can't believe this is the first time I've seen this. I'm from Belfast, and I even know some of the people you had met. I'm so happy you loved it. Watching you enjoy my city fills me with nostalgia and pride. I would love to see you make some northern Irish food on the channel. Love your work. Keep it up. Slan ☘️

    It's awesome to see your home country on a video for cool interesting reasons. Not that I can afford to go to Deanes.. ever. Jesus that steak looked good though.
    Great video Alex, I really enjoyed it

    You just combined the country and people I am in love with, with my beloved Argentinian asador, the whiskey (yes, is not just for men Alex) and you, in a single thing. I am almost crying hahhaa. Thanks a million for this! and peace in Ireland 💚

    Hits home hard. Everywhere you've been in that I've been. Northern Ireland is just so local because it's so small and that's what I like about it. I mean you were about 200 yards from my college in some parts, massive respect.

    Alex I love your videos!! I'm learning sourdough and have worked through loads of your videos! I'm so glad you loved Northern Ireland! I live here and it's beautiful! Also happy you didn't stay in Belfast and went round! Lost & Found in Coleraine is lovely! Haptik in newtownards for great Middle Eastern fusion food!
