Hey DK, I’m 51 and a HS football coach in VA. I listened to the end..lol. But I agree. There is this narrative that young and full of swag is disrespectful… I’m a bit old school so I get it. But now hearing it I agree. That confidence helps remove doubt. Great work as always.
Hey DK, I love the swagger episode! You look across sports at successful teams, and there is always a guy or two on those teams who wasn’t afraid to let the other team know what’s coming. The single best example I ever saw was JP Sr. Would love to see Jr and the Brodfather take the throne as resident s*** talkers!

I think that defense has plenty of swagger when they hit the field. Hope Wilson, Pickens, our line and the RBs can bring that to the offense under Smith
Win first. Swag later. These personalities, the personalities we enjoy, are borne from success. Plenty of perennial losers have had players with "Swag" and I don't remember once envying that team for that player.

Did you forget about GP and Najee? GP has that fire and mentality, we just had to shape it properly.. Najee is a big talker but I think he’s been humbled by the lack of production on offense. You can’t talk when you suck(the offense, not Najee)

Dk you were pretty loud about Cam Sutton coming back to Pittsburgh if i recall correctly. The league will give out the maximum punishment with little to no evidence just to save face due to the ray rice debacle. Stop clutching your pearls. You have done a complete 180 on Cam Sutton.
Bobby Brister and Eric Green had swagger and they usually sucked. Teams swagger because they win, they rarely win because they swagger. Johnny U - a Yinzer from birth - said it best, "Talk is cheap, I talk on the scoreboard."

I love how this video was prefaced right out of the gate. As a 45 year old, I don't care one bit about "swag." That stuff seems so silly and unnecessary to me. This is why none of today's players can do a damned thing without having to do The Worm back to the huddle.
