Am I the only person that's hyped at the fact that King Leonidas is your grandfather. And for those that don't who King Leonidas is, it's the guy who said "This Is Sparta!!!" in the movie 300. Real person too
He's also famous for the phrase ''Μολων Λαβε''(''molon lave''),which means literally ''come and get them''.When the Persians demanded from the Spartans to surrender and lay down their weapons,this was his answer.

yep legendary Spartan Hero Leonidas...if it wasn't for him and his 300 Spartans and also a few more soldiers from some greek city states who died at Thermoplyae to give the rest of the greek city states time to get all their armies and navy ready they would of fallen to the Persians.

It's great that they're revamped the series with these new things & the decision making was USP of Witcher 3 giving it almost 36 possible endings including DLCs..... looking forward to how they've implemented it in Odyssey
I've seen some game vids of odyssey and it seems like the player choices will matter more then in the witcher 3, as an example from what I've seen kiera might commit suicide or go to a party with the player.

I don't really care as long as it's a good game. The memories are your choices as a player. The team developing Odyssey said they planned it to be an RPG from the beginning.

Achara if you like dialouge option then you should play the witcher 3 or other rpg series like dragon age or mass effect trilogy there are amazing especially the witcher 3 there are total of 36 different ending to that game also the issue odyssey has not bad framerate rather poor optimization and poor animations but that can be fixed AC origins(Egypt) last year had the same issue but it was fixed at launch so hoping it will be fixed in odyssey as well
Played this 1 pretty much completion. Took 120 hours though world is so beautiful so couple hours was just checking places. Will play it again sooner or later. It is really good game with pc!

Jaby, seems to me like the framerate issue has something to do with software used to record the walkthrough footage, not from the game itself. E3 has had this on more than this trailer and Origins, the Egypt one you mentioned.
Also, seeing Achara freak out at the fact you can play a female character was adorable lol

Well it's running at 4K on the Xbox One X and most games run at 30fps which is kinda low for a good gaming experience. I would assume if you're playing on the PS4 Pro or Xbox One X and turn it down to 1080p you will get a smoother experience. I will be playing on PC with a controller which is probably how you will get the smoothest experience.
So close to witcher 3...it probably tip it to best game I've ever played to gwent :D

Its borrowing surely considering they are moving even more towards RPG side of it. They even have romance options for your character like seen in Mass effect games. Its heavily reskined version of last years AC Origins even down to the detection meter n the text font n color. It seems very similar to it n I'm not surprised. Hopefully it'll be a huge open world like Origins with interesting things to do. Also I'm gonna play as Kassandra.❤

well with the frame rates origins never had a problem with lag until they added one of there updates.. so im guessign this game wont lag or lose frames either once its fully out specially sicne origins map was most likely FAR bigger

First time a female lead to have a story and full length game in AC. There were characters before even in syndicate, but they were all sidekick.

Yup the animation definitely seemed wierd to me , i noticed this too , especially the facial ones and when she jumps one the horse and im hearing Alot of people say its gonna be the same thing like origins .
This is the first Assassin's Creed game, I have been excited for, in a long time. IMO, the last great one was Revelations.

I’ve played all except 1, black flag and rogue. I believe Origins saved the game. It’s much more RPG and not the boring stuff which was Unity and Syndicate. Still I don’t care for the hidden blade. It was discovered later, so it would be stupid just to add it for fan service
I think Jaby has been confused with HZD with AC Odyssey because both are open world game yet here Ubisoft made the choices so effective while in HZD the intensity & tone of dialogues only changed. Also it has the vibe of our ancient history here which is more cool than HZD I think.
Just wanted Achara to know that I had played it with the female character Cassandra, and she is AWESOME!!! :)
People hate this game and I don't know why. It's got naval missions and traversal back from black flag, huge conquest battles, unique setting, historical figures like socrates (philosopher) and dialogue choices that affect the outcome of your playthrough. I haven't played origins so this is a no brainer for me.
They hate the fact Ubisoft slapped "Assassin's Creed" label on it but it is not an assassination game "anymore". It's a whole new different RPG from Ubisoft. The fact that it's an RPG means it is not the same as the whole AC franchise.

I love these newer AC games. A lot of fun. But they're stretching the term "Assassin" quite a bit at this point. The idea of the Creed didn't even show up until the end of Origins, and you're just a Merc in this game. You're getting further away from being an Assassin with each game.

I really think they should put an end to assassin's creed series now bc there are too many games in the last 10 years of assassin's creed and the gameplay is same in almost every assassin's creed.. These games are supposed to tell the story of how the brotherhood was formed. Just like ac origins explained that creation of brotherhood in Egypt and now I think it's time for Greece

If this takes place before origins then they are not actually assassin's then... Anyways that's not my point, it's that the story of Assassin's Creed is so fucked up... Like u have to start from the first game to actually know the whole story.. And let's be honest there hasn't been a good Assassin's creed game since black flag except origins... The reason why I didn't like origins is bc it didn't have the feeling and taste of Assassin's much... There are just too many things to dive into and the graphics are good but let's be honest the graphic gameplay of this generation is way better like if you have seen the e3 gameplay of the last of us 2 and the ghost of (I can't pronounce it right) Marvel's Spider-Man ... I'm not really convinced with the combat skills if you take a look at the ghost of tsushima and Spider-Man And if you talk about the gameplay itself its really annoying now.. I know a lot of you love ac but I just feel gameplay's almost same in every Assassin's Creed but it's... I know most people are bored of this game and kinda left their hopes for anything better... The AC timeline is really fucked up! And no one's gonna really play all the games in a series bc there are so many of these... The only hope for the next assassin's Creed is if Altair is back .. Bc everyone loves Altair and wanna see him again with much more combat skills and stuff..
Alex Ze you should wait a little more cos the story of assassin's Creed is really good. The story in the novels and comics is at a point where every piece is falling in it's place. These games purpose is to connect us to the story of comics and novels(my guess). If you don't want it don't mind it but the day they countinue the modern story for sure is the day ac will finally be back

Greece is a boring a setting, almost 80% same as Origins. We need a total new setting for example somewhere in the middle east (Iran, Afghanistan) where assassins originally start from. China or Japan would also be an interesting setting.

I'll be honest. There is nothing interesting about this game besides the Graphics and setting. Ever Since the Witcher 3, Ubisoft has tried more and more to make Assassins Creed into Witcher. They keep on adding role-playing element, and knowing that it's ubisoft I am pretty sure they would implement it poorly.
On top of that, basically, Every Ubisoft game is becoming a copy of each other. Climb towers, Clear Outposts, control animals or npc. Open world with shit ton of things to do but nothing worth doing that impacts the story or world.
This makes me really worried about Beyond Good & Evil.

Looks like a good game though. Who cares about that stuff really? The franchise is old now, relatively speaking. They need to change it up and you can always go back to the old ones if you're not happy with the new games but if they didn't change anything then you would have other people bitching about how its the same game. You can't please everyone. People didn't say ac brotherhood was a reskin of ac 2 back in 2010 but people love to complain nowadays. I don't think ubisoft deserve the criticism they get. Activision and EA deserve all that shit.

It will have hoods and the player will be able to assassinate, origins and odyssey are the only games where it feels like the hero is a part of the world and not someone who is super distinct that no one see. the hoods ware great for the first game everyone used it, but for the other games the hero was so distinct that i never understood how no one seen him in a crowd that was dressed differently. Games have to change and evolve and i guess that ubisoft dont want that assassins creed will have the same faith as Prince of Parisia, a game that became reparative and died. Assassins creed origins and odyssey are a soft reboot for the franchise I welcome all the new changes and i hope that the game will be great.

Vodicx you do realise this project was started 3yrs back and it came out just 1 yr later than origin so the gameplay for both will be same but this brings out the whole new set of choices with RPG factor which origins was having to some content. And both have the feeling of Black flag since the team for black flag created Origins and Contents for this game.

I've never been a big Assassin's Creed fan, but this looks interesting. It just annoys me that they have to slap the title of Assassin's Creed on it to make it sell. An RPG set in Ancient Greece is an amazing concept, why couldn't they have just made it that without the connection to Assassin's Creed?

From what I've read these prequel games lead up to the templar vs brotherhood war and the modern era plot is still very much in the games. EDIT: fixed a typo.

U don't see any of that because this game shows how templar came to be. Templars came before assassin's. We saw the assassin's origin with AC origins n now this is the Templars origin
