i’ve never related to a question more than the one that asked “my boyfriend is not really loving with me, how can i bring it up without sounding selfish?” sooo relatable because me and my bf only had one relationship before we met so we had some sort of experience, but not a ton! and we both said that our relationship is probably the most serious one we’ve ever been in and when we first started out, i most definitely didn’t want to come off as “clingy” since my bf has a more independent personality and because of that i’d always think like “am i not enough or does he not like me as much as i thought” but that certainly wasn’t the case!! we talked it out and now we’re almost two years into our relationship and i’d have to say he’s definitely grown to be more affectionate and “lovey-dovey” with me so i’d just say to communicate with your partner and let them know how you feel because a little affection can go a long way and who knows, they might turn out to be the one who’s more “clingy” hehe
I will advise everyone to look up the 5 love languages because Everyone loves differently. I so agree with you about communication. Communication is the key to every relationship and it’s very important so that all your needs and theirs are fulfilled.

The way that you both speak so openly about your feelings for each other and your feelings in general has been such a huge help in grounding myself in my relationship. I've struggled with my overly romanticized expectation of love (built up and supported by how relationships are portrayed in movies and tv shows) and it's so unrealistic to hold my own relationship to that. My boyfriend isn't always comfortable in expressing his feelings in these big romantic gestures and that doesn't have to mean he loves me any less. Sometimes what I feel like I'm asking for isn't a lot but it's easy to forget that just because it comes naturally to me, doesn't mean that it's the same for him.
nah don't settle for a guy that doesn't act like he's in love with you. there are men out there who will adore you and wear their hearts on their sleeve

It’s good to take couple steps backwards and see how your partner shows love to you. Looking at the past few years, I can see how much you’ve grown Hana, but I can see how much Jimmy has grown too. The last question really hit home for me since I had the same issue with my S.O. at the beginning of our relationship. I think it depends how long it's been since kind of like Jimmy/Hana touched on, the beginning of the relationship is the phase where 2 people are still trying to figure out how to co-exist and grow together but also making sure to grow separately too. I've always been the type to be very vocal and straightforward with affection and any issues with my partner. It took him a while to realize it would help with our communication if he's vocal with affections and issues too. But I also had to realize he's more used to showing that he's loving through gift giving and acts of service and I've made more efforts to show him that I care for him in ways that he's used to being shown he's loved, aka the gift giving and acts of service. Ultimately it requires both parties to sit down, have a conversation (maybe multiple conversations) and work through the issue together through compromise and along the way, getting to know how to help the other person better. Side note: I love these heart to hana & heart to jana videos, they always give me a lot to think about and makes me grateful for what I have. ❤️
