Even if I wasn’t against MLMs, I wouldn’t buy Monat anyways because they only ever have the same kind of person shilling the products. White women with similar hair types. I’m a POC with 3B curly hair, and I personally have yet to see anyone who looks like me speak about the products and what it’s done for their hair.
Haha yeah. I’d “love” to see what havoc it would wreak on 3-4 hair. Not only are they all straight/wavy haired and mostly white, the hair seems often very thin, and they are also all like age 30-50 and female. Even though I have straight hair it’s very thick and I’m a 20 year old male. A hair product can’t be the top product in the world if it only caters to one hyper specific demographic without some shady shit going on methinks
I can't use products with sulfates because I'm sensitive to them. They cause me to flush and make my heat hives more aggressive. Of course, there isn't anything wrong with using them as an ingredient, I just can't use them. With that being said, they would STILL try to push me to try them or shill the products and it's just craziness. None of them care beyond getting your money. Also, I have super long curly hair that goes down to my butt. I'm not trying to have it fall out thank you very much!
Many of the reps that came into our salon WERE cosmetologists!! I would say at least half. The other half were DEEPLY educated on the products. Holy shit, our Aveda rep was INSANELY knowledgeable. I mean absurdly
So many adults are lonely, then to be "tricked" by a possible "friend"? It is so gross and disheartening. People will draw back into themselves even more than they were before 😢
They never mention that warm markets overlap a lot. If you rope in your sister but everyone else in the family and friends say no, there goes most of her warm market. Even worse is you get two people from the same circle, now they are competing for the same few remaining people. They also never address how awkward it might be to be making money off your sister but she never makes money off of you. Especially if you started around the same time, just you recruited her instead of vice versa. So even if it goes well and she doesn't get annoyed by you, the outcome for the relationship can't be great.
I don't sell anything, but I'm trying to imagine saying I "believe" in a product. It's so weird. If someone asks for recommendations for hiking snacks or equipment, which I know a fair bit about, I'm not going to say I believe in this energy bar or that water filter. I might like something, I might think it works well, it's a good value, but I don't "believe" in my tent or sleeping bag.
if my hairdresser ever told me she used monat on me, it'd be my last visit to that salon. I have my hair care routine that works well on my long-time bleached & colored thick af hair, all without mlm crap.
Get on the phone with them or send them a voice memo so they can hear the desperation in your voice. Talk to them in person so they can see your hair "detoxing" in person.
The way she described meeting people and asking for their FB or other social media info and using that to recruit is exactly the reason why I don’t trust people who seem too nice. Also if anyone I friend on FB has MLM content it’s an immediate block from me. I also look at the people’s business cards and if I see any MLM info on it the card automatically goes in the trash regardless of how I met them. Anything an MLM huns say is a suspect in my book.
I don't know how many times an upline told me to use feel, felt, found 🤮. One Christmas, one of the top leaders in poonique had us making posts about how we were like Santa and how the business was a gift of a better future. Looking back on it now, I keep thinking, how could we have been giving a gift if they had to pay to enrol 🙈🤣. They convince you of all sorts of crap x
“Believing” in a product is weird. Like, what am I believing in? Belief implies faith, right? I can’t prove something works, but I believe it works, so it does? I BELIEVE a crystal wand will clarify my water. lol. There is no empirical evidence, but I *BELIEVE. 😂 The fervor behind the belief in whatever the MLM product is hilarious.
The thing that these huns never talk about is how this is all a numbers game. Out of the hundreds and hundreds of people you try to "make relationships with" (manipulate) every day, you might get a handful of customers who will buy from you. AMong those customers, a lot of them will only buy once or maybe every few months becuase the products are so expensive. And even fewer of those people will ever sign up as a distributor. That's why the only people who succeed in MLMs are those who got in early before the market was saturated and lots of people hadn't already tried it and quit, or those who have a huge following and have a much larger pool of potential customers to pitch to. And saturation is unavoidable for everyone, it will eventually affect even those ideal situations too, as we are now seeing with Monat and all the other MLMs that are crumbling.
I have no interest in becoming a social media influencer/sales purrson. I only have FB & it's for people I know (friends/family). Earlier this year a long-distance man I'd been corresponding with decades ago reached out to me. I checked out his profile, & saw that he was following a Mary Kay rep. I'm guessing gf/wife. Ah Ha! No, sir. I didn't respond to him. LOL! 😹
I worked at Target in the early 2000s, and I can say with certainty that no, Target training did not include anything about recruiting as many of your friends and family to work at or buy from Target as possible, lol. Shocking, I know! And I hate how they keep talking about their "opportunity" as a "gift". A gift is given for free, with no strings attached, just to make someone else happy. Basically the opposite of anything to do with MLMs.
Since you're licensed (or at least educated), I'm curious about what you would recommend for oily scalps. Currently I'm using Paul Mitchell's original shampoo with no conditioner and the occasional Neutrogena grapefruit clarifying shampoo. Is there a better shampoo out there for oily scalps that need to be washed every day? (I know I'm not supposed to wash every day but I'm telling you it looks like a grease fryer)
Does the follicle produce oil or does the scalp? The first hun is scaring me with how “enthused” she is. Her voice is neutral or positive but her body energy and facial expressions are aggressive 🙃 also growth ≠ length retention
I genuinely don't think youtube unsubscribes people. I think people just do not realize they never subscribed, are really certain they did (our memories are very fallible) and then say that youtube must have unsubscribed them. But youtubers have been saying this for pretty much ever and it wouldn't be in youtube's best interest to unsubscribe people from channels. They want to up your engagement by showing you what you like to watch, not hide your favorite creators. So yeah, this is just my mini rant that I think it's actually just people not realizing they never subscribed, even though they've watched for a long time.
I've had it happen to me, so I'm not sure that's true. Glitches in the system can happen. They're rare, in my experience, but I've had educational channels that I was subscribed to and recommend to other people suddenly show up as not being subscribed out of the blue. It's not often, but as someone who regularly pulls up content to show people information in the history creation realm especially, I notice when someone I always recommend suddenly comes up as no longer being subscribed.
The reps still promoting monate and trying recruit after all the lawsuits and everyone leaving and toni getting terminated, is wild. The loyalty to these companies is honestly sad. The monate ship is sinking and these loyal reps are going to be blindsided when monate closes its doors. I don't think monate is going to make it to 2026.
I find it interesting how the boss babes make network marketing sounds so easy because oh we’re just selling shampoo. Running your own business is risky. You might not make money so gaslighting people to believe oh it’s easy you just share the product and you make money that’s the biggest lie.
Her body language, tho... she comes off as overly rehearsed and like she's been practicing these moves for years... physically grabbing wifh bull by the horns, looking over her shoulder when she says "look back..." those are the kind of visual cues I see the actors on our staff using when giving tours. It doesn’t come across as genuine. It comes off as a well rehearsed act. So tell me again how you're genuine and authentic in that story sharing that's definitely not a rehearsed sales pitch...
Eric Worre commented on one of my antiMLM Instagram posts, calling me stupid. It was one of the best days of my life.
How come don't they understand how tiring, exhausting, boring and scammy they sound. Omg.
Not you being a licensed hairstylist and barber! Girl, what don’t you do?! I love that.
Certified personal trainer, content creator, certified nutrition coach she does as well. Mother, wife
And teacher right? She homeschooling? Kicking ass Girl!!!@elisa-beary
She's like barbie - every job ever!

Eric Worry compared MLM huns to mercenaries
I don’t hate it 😂

Yayyy! Video just in time for lunch break!
BTW, you look fabulous 😍
Monat will give me zombie hair
Edit* which is dangerous since zombies like to eat brains 😨

When she said resin all I could think of is "It's resin time!" from Evan and Katelyn 😹😹😹
Of course it's about the money! If someone like this woman approached me I would definitely run...

😂They aren't paired with Eric Worre anymore. After their last monations, they didn't renew his contract.
Am I the only one who would find it strange for a stranger to ask for my social media...I wouldn't want to give somebody irl my twitter 😅
Say it with me: If you can see your hair it’s already dead!!

My problem with MLM products......if theyre so good and everyone should have them, why arent they sold in stores? Ugggg So annoying
Thank you for the Brick Baker cameo (Momma didn't raise no dummy)

I've never seen someone drink the Kool-Aid to this degree!
Stylist, non-stylist, algorithms, people with pulses. You know, whichever.
Monat SOLVES two problems?!
Say that to my itchy scalp😩didb’t they just fire EW?
Recommend Jordan and McKay's, Alyssa Grenfell's and Cults to Consciousness' lives/videos about Secret Lives of Mormon Wives

Hairstylist or scientist?

Why would it matter if the product lasts a long time, because they want people to buy it every week?
This lady had me literally cringing away from my phone. So fake and pushy, but don’t dare call her “sales-y”!
Her body language, tho... she comes off as overly rehearsed and like she's been practicing these moves for years... physically grabbing wifh bull by the horns, looking over her shoulder when she says "look back..." those are the kind of visual cues I see the actors on our staff using when giving tours. 30:00 omg i just checked and youtube unsubbed me
They all have new heads of hair cause their hair fell out😂
Oh yay another car office. #locationfreedom
Anti aging for your hair!😂😂😂😂
To me, her hair looks dull
It's all same old same old with them
Who is still buying Monat? Is it just the reps at this point?
Getting to know people only to sell them shampoo 🙄 All of their relationships are transactional.
Are you wearing a Jerome Bettis jersey?!
Ypu should really look into destiny parrnii and chirsta crawford very cringe!
Her eyebrows drive me craycrayyyy
Ok great video, however, it Monat (MON NAT) she’s not saying it right and neither are you.
I just cannot get over how ethereal you look lately🩷
uhhhh...I'm blushing. 😊😊😊😊 Thank you
