- Eminem and MGK have a personal beef that dates way back to 2012. This beef led to subliminal disses and even diss tracks between the two. Today we uncover what happened between Eminem Vs MGK. Killshot Vs Rap Devil which diss track is better?

@@averagejoe9642it's not an insult (in fact if anything it's kinda true not gonna lie) but context is key here. MGK put that tweet out in 2012, at the time Hailie was 16 and he was 22. To say that about a minor is weird. Any minor. Much less one that has become kinda infamous for having a father who will go to bat for her against anyone bringing her name into hip hop.
Anyway, people have made it out to be that the tweet was what started the beef. That Em saw it 6 years later and decided to diss MGK. That's incorrect. Paul Rosenberg and Jimmy Iovine saw the tweet, called MGK and asked if he could 1) remove the tweet and 2) issue a public apology. The first part of that request MGK complied with but not the second, this I assume led to one or both of them (probably Paul) banning MGK from Shade 45. As was confirned by Sway in the 2018 Kamikaze interviews who said he told MGK he couldn't have MGK up there, and was what really started the beef. MGK did the Power 105 freestyle and Tech N9ne feature dissing Em, who noticed that and replied with Not Alike. We of course know what happened next.

right, don't even say her name to him, I once worked for a guy who brought his daughter in (everyone was of age, she was older than me) I was told not to say a word about his daughter or we would be fighting regardless of what I say, The guy who told me not to say a word he found her hot and was speaking from his own experience, When the boss told me he was bringing his daughter in, I shrugged it off, and I did speak of her, Because she was actually raised like family through her mothers side, so I told him, we were like cousins, and then talked about the entire family rather than her. Never an issue.
At the end of the day respect goes a long way, When it comes to celebrities, their children face more threats than the average child, especially when trying to keep them out of the spotlight.. that is a no brainer. Kelly should have known before hand, "MEN" understand what is appropriate to say an what is not.

You kind of brought a false narrative up. You picked maybe the 4 worst lines from MGK's diss and threw it against the four best from Em's. Even though I think Em won that diss battle, mgk still dropped a full rap project after that; with one pop punk as the closing song. This song blew up and mgk used this and continued to make more pop punk music which fueled his whole venture into pop punk; to which he dropped two number 1 albums. He also always made punk/rock music before this, and always incorporated elements of punk into his music. Em didn't destroy him, and certainly didn't kill his career. While his EP with Trippie charted pretty poorly; it was still an EP and not an album, one with no label promotion. I've seen people throwing this up against Eminem's greatest hits compilation album, with songs like Lose Yourself, Without Me, Stan, etc; his biggest songs, as they sold about the same amount of units despite it being like 15-20 years after Eminem dropped his compilation album. Mgk still sold over 100k units with Tickets to my Downfall and still had a pretty successful rap album in Hotel Diablo; still his rap music compares nothing to Eminem's.

How I see it is like, MGK made a pretty good diss, enough to have Em response. MGK demonstrated that he can be a pretty good challenge for most artists but an easy target for Em, considering Em, it's being seen as the greatest of all times, that puts MGK on a good spot. I wanted to listen to MGK's response, but he acted pretty smart and managed to save his career, unlike other victims of Em.
